Wow. Nice room. Kinda reminds me of my own before I moved and I never got around to putting everything back up.

Yea it's worth it, they have good design and good parts (I think). However, you will probably want to get at least a few of the others to go with it. Within days of getting the Grand Emporium, I wanted to get all the others (Though so far I haven't been able to get anymore, been buying other sets.)

Very cool. Lot's of nice work on the rocks at the bottom of the house, and the well and everything It looks like it's just a random person wearing a cloak with the hood up.

[MOC] Collectable minifigs modular display shelf - series 3
brickmack replied to Cecilie's topic in Special LEGO Themes
All look great. Lots of cool details in each vig. I especially like the lasers in the one with the space criminal (Sorry, I don't remember what LEGO calls that one). -
Nice (Both the ship and the bottle). Lots of great detail on the Black Pearl.

Do you buy 1 set to play with and 1 to keep sealed?
brickmack replied to thegurumb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Nope, if I get multiples of a set I put them all together (except for 2 BIONICLE sets from 2009 that I plan to sell in about 10 years). I never really saw the point of keeping sets MISB, what's the point of getting LEGO if it won't be played with?? -
Cool, lots of nice details. The roofs on the houses look cool especially, I don't think I've ever seen the diver flippers used as roof tiles before. The big flames around the back look really cool. The cannon ball shooting out looks great also.

That's a lot of SNOTwork. Took a second to even find an area with studs-up stuff other than the ground. The roof looks great especially, the use of the tiles overlapping kinda makes it look like real wood. Good one.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
brickmack replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looks great so far. Unfortunatly, this has inspired me to get around to trying to make my own landscape sort of thing (It's only unfortunate because I am trying to sort my parts right now...) -
Nice. I like the design of the rocks/cliff thing. Any plans to make an un-crashed version of the ship? The back looks nice so far.

PAB selection plea for the classic smiley (Head #001)
brickmack replied to madoka's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I support this Thousand??? How do you need THOUSANDS of the same head? And how are you "Running low"? -
For the "Obviously licensed parts" like the helmets and stuff, I doubt they would use it for something else, but I doubt there is any legal reason they couldn't. Not certain though. Han Solo's legs have been used in both Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets, but since they are both licensed by the same company, that doesn't really say much. If I remember correctly, the reason for the switch to flesh for licensed stuff was because of Lando from the Star Wars sets.

I keep my collectible minifigs together, on the "stands" included with them, with all their accessories and stuff (unless I use them in a MOC, which I plan to do eventually). Most of the rest I take apart to use in MOCs after I take the set apart they come in (usually about a month to a year after I get the set depending on if I need the parts from it or not, and depending on if I'm running out of space). I also have some that I keep together all the time, like my classic space one (don't want to risk breaking it, I already have newer ones of all the parts in it except the torso anyway). I also have a (very small) army of redcoats that I keep assembled, usually manning my incomplete HMS Victorious MOC or defeating american colonists.

Nice. It would be really cool to try and make this in minifig scale. *Starts thinking of how to make each section in bigger parts, then comes back to reality*. As someone said above, it would look nicer if it had some color variety, perhaps just a different color for the windscreen or something like that. I had something like this happen a few weeks ago, I was sorting parts for the first time ever and I put a few parts together, and after a few hours I ended up with the base for a giant (well not really GIANT, but big for be) ship that will be nearly 2 feet long.

Well, there was a sale at TRU today, so I got: Police Station Traveller (I wanted to get about 20 of this so I would have more of those red shirts, I use them as space uniforms, but they only had 1 left...) Sea Jet The only reason I got this one was that there was a buy one get 1 1/2 off for the impulse sets, but it doesn't really have any particularly good parts (though the Atlantis diving suits I use occasionally as space suits)... Oh well, I still got about 20 parts I didn't have before, and a few of the parts became an inspiration for a spider walker that I might finish eventually.

Well I like (LEGO) bricks, and my first name is Mack, so.... I think it's rather obvious how I constructed my name after that bit...

Yea, I have trouble getting the exposure right. I brightened it a lot, but I guess it wasn't enough.

Why Kids Shouldn't Be Pirates by Stormbringer (Flickr find)
brickmack replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Pirate MOCs
Cool. All the toys look nice, and the SNOTted floor looks like real wood (well about as close as I've ever seen in bricks). I hope the creator joins EB (or already has). -
Wow that's nice. Do the things on the bottom move? Looks like they might but I can't tell. Nice colourscheme and design also.
-
There was a single Belville set in a TRU around here until last week, but it's gone now. Yay. The only reason I never got any Belville sets was that they have those things that look more like dolls than minifigs. I just hope the new theme has a lot of pink (I only have a few pink parts but I want to make a pink spaceship...)

Nope, no hand weapons anywhere on the ship except a laser pistol for the captain and first officer, and when I get the second deck added, 2 pulse rifles next to the airlock. Hmmm. The Odyssey sounds quite good. I might use that one.

I have a Flickr account, but I can't remember the password... The wheelchair is based on these designs.

I like knowing what LEGO is coming out with early. Gives me some time to think about what I'm going to build with any new parts. Of course a lot of the time I go a bit nuts and start counting down days until sets are released so I can get them...

It's meant to be an exploration ship. I added in old grey in a few dozen random places to make it old and used. When finished, it will be 2 decks, and around 70-80 studs long probably. If anyone has any naming ideas, they might be used. Bridge: Main Engineering (unfinished): Science Station: The crew so far (Will be adding more crewmembers when I get more of those red torsos) Left to right: random engineer/science officer (haven't decided yet), Science Officer, Helmsman/Junior Science Officer, Captain, Tactical Officer, 2 Engineers
