  1. That plan kinda backfired on them, they now have more hate than if they had left LEGO alone, nobody would have minded.
  2. I have a lot of respect for the resellers. Yes, you may have to wait a little longer or not being able to obtain a set from a shop because of people buying to resell but that is life. Think about it, the Indiana Jones sets were brilliant, I couldn't get them when they came out as I didn't have enough space or money but now I have bot, I bought from resellers and the prices were only £10 more than the normal prices in 2008/09 or whenever they came out. If nobody resold them then the set would not be accessible for anyone.
  3. I had a LEGO YouTube channel that I started but stopped because my videos just weren't getting watched. I might start again soon so here is my channel, what could I improve on my videos? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoGutx_IxKqnG_jrtICwiLA/videos
  4. Croeso Sir Brickalot! I am off to the LEGO shop Cardiff tomorrow and will report on some PAB wall content.
  5. I watched the video on YouTube and as you would expect there were comments like "stop picking on an innocent toy". Greenpeace reply was something like "Our campaign is not against LEGO, its against Shell". If thats the case, why bring LEGO into it?
  6. They should do a figure for the biggest CC in Europe and the biggest in North America.
  7. I watched the LEGO movie an noticed Benny's helmet was broke and thought, there must have been an issue with real classic spacemen for them to do that. I found my blue classic spacemen and they have a little fading on their face but no broken helmet, could someone explain this to me?
  8. I bought them in Abergavenny in a shop called the Blue Cross. There were many many more charity shops, none of which had LEGO in them but on another day you might find them. They didn't have any more because if they did I would have bought them but LEGO is starting to get rarer and rarer in charity shops because a few years ago you could find loads more in charity shops and shops that sell "rubbish" but people seem less likely to give the stuff away and sell them instead.
  9. I just played Race 3000, its a pretty good game. I am going on to Magikas now and might play the other. If I don't like the game I might use the parts as they have owls, bats skeleton heads and wands.
  10. One of my "hobbies" is making and wearing costumes from my favourite movies. So far I have made a Marty McFly outfit and an Elwood/Jake Blues outfit. I was going to try Ghostbusters but the proton pack would cost a lot.
  11. The CITY one has had some improvements in the last couple years. For example, two years ago the Santa minifigure was just a red plain torso and red plain legs with the red pirate bandana hat and a long white beard to cover the blandness. While last year the Santa had a printed torso with a Santa hat and short beard, the quality was much better.
  12. Maybe LEGO will release a polybag of that?
  13. I went to a market town today and looked in one of many charity shops as I thought "never know, could find some LEGO" and after the 5th Shop, I found some. I bought 3 LEGO borad games and paid £3.95 for Race 3000, £3.95 for Pirate Code and £2.95 for Magikus. I have no experience with LEGO board games so are they worth keeping as sets or bets for pieces? 14. There could be a big set with the world cup that could come with a pitch with generic teams. There could also be a set above this that includes stadium seating and 2 real teams (maybe from the final)? There could also be loads of little sets that include other World Cup team in the form of a training area and eventually you will be able to build a training camp with things such as penalty shootout, passing, free kicks etc. It would be the team sizes that LEGO had in the previous line of soccer. LEGO could also revisit the NBA aspect of sport, They were brilliant sets! I first bought 2 of those sets off ebay and that lead me to join a basketball team. I knew nothing about the NBA at the time and those sets were awesome, they could just update the line to current stars. I never had experience with the NHL sets but looking at videos of them and images, thye deserve to make a return just like the previous sports mentioned. There are probably many other sports that could be made interactive with LEGO, it just involves testing ideas.
  15. Shwmae! This is a thread for all the Welsh Eurobricks members to discuss what they like regarding LEGO in Wales. This is also a way to find fellow members from Wales that you can chat with, trade and sell LEGO and just generally find people around you. Below is a list of ideal things we could have in this thread. Ideal Posts Information about various aspects of the Cardiff LEGO shop such as PAB availability, set availability and other aspects of the Cardiff shop. Sales and deals in stores around the UK that you would find in Wales. Information about LEGO events that are in Wales that may fly under the standard FOL's calender. Newspaper adverts that include LEGO. Attempts to find out about other FOL's from Wales. General talk about Wales. Anyone is allowed to post here even if you are not Welsh but if you have not got anything to say about Wales LEGO or other wise then it is pointless in posting it.
  16. "Look how small that thing is, the box was huge" when I have just built the Pet Shop. "Look at that boy, he is buying a set for his sister, you should be more like that" when I am buying a Friend's set for the Motorcycle. "Lego men" I hate it that people cannot grasp the word "minifigure".
  17. Don't know if this has been mentioned but John Lewis is selling Benny's SS for £64.99 and the Joker Steam Roller for £10 less than Lego.com does.
  18. I know its not a Minifig but shouldn't this be in Minifig Customisation Works?
  19. I apologise for my behaviour on this thread, I was very rude and I apologise. Turns out the staff ain't that bad, was a much different experience when I went two days ago. It must have been a bad day for them. They helped me find my Pet Shop and even carried it to the till while I was filling cups of PAB. I managed to get a lot of parts in, I was at the till and nearly dropped my cup due to a kid running into me but the employee caught it just in time xD. Disregard whatever I said before this post.
  20. If I ran the LEGO group, I would revive the sports theme. Think of how much money LEGO would have made if the had a 2014 Brazil World Cup set and funtional like the sports sets were.
  21. What about a crowd of minifigures?
  22. When I saw the bridge at the end with the caption "This will be built far into the future" I instantly thought of Back To The Future III but I think this will look brilliant in brick form.
  23. I don't have any experiance with BW but I buy a lot from BrickArms and I must say that they are brilliant. The amount of weapons they make are a large number and they are made with the same plastics as LEGO. You could buy 5 items that are the same from BA and BW (example would be to buy an M16 from both) and then test them out to see which one you like more.
  24. My latest purchase from the Star Wars line was the V-Wing Starfighter and a attle pack with Clones that were in green camouflage (I forgot their name)
  25. Thank you CityBuilder and lightningtiger.
