  1. Awe, I should have gone there but I am happy with my Grand Emporium as I couldn't get both. Hopefully they will have some left whenever I go to Cardiff (hopefully in a month).
  2. With a few minor modifications to the design of the original mini-model Mini so that at least a minifig torso can fit inside plus similar parts which are much cheaper and make it look more classic Mini, the total cost is £3.55 in a red colour.
  3. I think its due to the era of technology (I can speak from experience) as people in my school are always having new phones and computers and forget about things like LEGO and other hobbies, for example someone I know said that the Grand Emporium is a waste of money but he spent £2,500 on a computer. I am one of 3 people in my school that still likes LEGO due to the rise of technology. Another factor maybe that parents forget about LEGO. With the trains, they are not advertised as much as they should as people may want something like that but won't know about it as some adults are incapable of using the internet (I don't speak for all, just experience around me) to find the LEGO range.
  4. Don't know if this helps or not but I went to the LEGO store in Cardiff searching for GE and got one, the employee said to me that they had a delivery from the previous day and that included some GE's. I was lucky as my GE was fresh out of a box from the LEGO warehouse. This means that LEGO might have made some more of these sets.
  5. I bought the Pet Shop and Grand Emporium sets from the Modular series. Just got to find some time to build them now
  6. I think I will stick to Bricklink, thank you people.
  7. Yeah, they had a delivery yesterday. I don't see why when you order a set that is out of stock on their warehouse they can't just mail one to you from the nearest store. If you can cancel your "order" and maybe catch the train to Cardiff (thats what I did).
  8. I looked at the LEGO website and found serious play, I don't want to buy the sets that are £££ but the starter kit interests me. It looks as if you get quite a few different types of parts. You get 214 parts and the price is £23.99. Has anyone got experience with these products?
  9. For the golf ball don't you mean "The Orb Of Titileist!". I think Emmet's apartment would be a cool set to tie in with the Modular buildings in Creator.
  10. I automatically write it as LEGO with capitals, I don't know why but I just do. I also say it like LEGO and not LEGOs as LEGO can be plural or singular.
  11. Unless I give permission, no person touches my minifigures (even if they are family).
  12. "LEGO CITY wasn't built in a day"(?)
  13. Is that the Octan Delivery ship from The LEGO Movie?
  14. ,I just got the Mini Cooper mini-model with a purchase from the LEGO shop in Cardiff. I built the model and really like it, then an idea popped into my head: I could create a bank robbery stop-motion with 3 mini cooper's as an Italian Job reference. Instead of paying for more polybags I thought I would just order the parts for the cars on Bricklink, changing the part colours, have you guys done this and if so, got any tips?
  15. I will have a look into that, heard of Brickish before but always thought their events were in England but yeah I will search it. I went to the Cardiff LEGO store today and bought my Grand Emporium. The employee that served me said that they had got a delivery yesterday ad the GE I had was just out of the cardboard that LEGO sends it in. The PAB was a little above average with some plates of various sizes in colours such as Tan and Cyan Blue. They also had loads of friends colours like pink and purple. Some wheels were there with tires to match but they only had the little wheels which was a little disappointing. They had some grey wheel arches. Thy had some brown car seats which they seem to always have there. They had a few 2x4's but no 1x4's sadly. As I said, they had a delivery yesterday so stock levels were high. They had many of the Exo-Suit and Research Institute sets along with the other Ideas sets like Minecraft which they had loads of plus Ecto-1 and the DeLoreon. City sets were well stocked along with the Creator range (they had many modular buildings and the Fairground Mixer set). There was also many of the Mini Cooper and they had a lot of the Mini polybags. Friends sets were fairly stocked up with the Movie sets and baseplates were plenty. The BAM stand was full of parts (very messy due to kids leaving them on the sides) but full of Hospital torsos, suit torsos, female torsos and many others. The shop was not as full as normal, the reasoning for this was probably the Doctor Who experience which was just outside St Davids shopping centre so potential LEGO shoppers may have avoided Cardiff due to this or were drawn to the Doctor Who attraction. Croes Macsen Wledig!
  16. I think its good that LEGO has exclusive figures. The figures offer a reward for getting to go to the event plus, if someone has that figure they may say "I might buy something to go along with this guy" and before you know it, LEGO has a new customer which brings LEGO more money. As said, whining about it isn't going to do anything. This is what LEGO has chosen to do and it has been successful so they will keep doing it. If it failed then they would have stopped but they didn't so it was not a failure.
  17. I have not got much experience in LEGO trains but may I suggest something based on the Orient Express in LEGO? Sorry if a set has already been made with this in mind.
  18. I want Ghost Rider and The Punisher. They are awesome.
  19. The flying police cars would look good on a Back To The Future 2015 MOC.
  20. I had Race 3000 for £3.95, Pirates Code for £3.95 and Magikus for £2.95 in a charity shop. That Batman deal is the winner of life though xD
  21. Some users of EB actually like the fake figures as they fill a market gap but with minifigures, its official or bust for me! Its good of you to make the effort of posting them here, people who are unaware on here will know the listings so +1 to you.
  22. Very well done on these vehicles! I especially like the gold 1x1 tile on the door of the Police model. My favourite is the civilian one though.
  23. I haven't got the bag as it was (separated into my collection) but I can photograph my blue spaceman to show it (this will have to be done tomorrow).
  24. I am 15. I picked up a bag of LEGO with about 5 classic space minifgures and the ones with their helmets didn't have cracks so it puzzled me a little. If I have time I could upload pictures if you like.
  25. That article was a load of nonsense, "The LEGO Friends line was criticised by some" - Hasn't every LEGO theme been criticised at some point for a range of many factors?
