i have a few of the thicker ones. Didn't even know it untill I used some while working on the front of the B-model of the Arocs truck. The flick pins on which you mount the plates of the grille don't fit in the thicker pins. 61184 http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=61184

Definitely a candidate for the Museum of Modern Art. http://www.moma.org/ -
Build my Wall-E today, very nice set. Too bad that the orange/yellow pieces are not all the same colour shade. Some bricks on the left and right side show differences.

42040 Fire Plane

Who said Lego planes can't fly? -
I have made a "poor man's version" of the B model. As I don't have all the white stuff for the cab, I've changed it for black with some red so it don't gets too dark. LBG panels of the lorry changed to green. The back of the cab is a bit 'open', you can see part of the fake engine, so I closed it. Halfway building the crane, I realised that the new pneumatic cylinders are only one stud wide so I couldn't use my old cylinders. Therefore I made a sort of mock-up by replacing the cylinders by yellow beams. Probably next wednesday will my official set arrive, then I will make some side by side photos with the 'real thing'.

The Trash Can is also an option: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=92926 The ball sits at the same depth as the light dish, if I'm not mistaken, the ball in the barrel sticks out a bit more. A plus for the barrel is that it has an axle hole, the trash can needs extra support. -
Nice, I think he is using this part http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x189c01 and I happen to have 4 of them lying around. I'm going to try it first in a stand-alone setup and if it works find some space in my WIP 42042.

I'm still in my learning phase, started with Technic about 18 months ago. A model like this (especially the drivetrain) is too complex for me to build without instructions/example.

I didn't want to wait for the retail version, so I made my own in a slightly different colour. 3 out of the 4 functions are working, roation has a problem somewhere. Option 1: take it apart and start over. ( other things come first) Option 2: wait 2 weeks and buy and build the retailset. ( most likely) It's a bit of a WIP, need to change some beams and add a black string. Don't have enough red panels so I improvised a bit.

Guilty. Had some already but they can also be used in other GBCs.
