  1. Got my third Weathertop for $40, bringing my Nazgul count to six and giving me a lot of valueable pieces for future castle MOCing.
  2. Just wow. With your creatively designed scroll and drawers, I continue to learn how the simplest elements can be used outside the box.
  3. There were also Uruk-hai and Mirkwood Elf guard polybags.
  4. Do you think we'll get more polybags for TaBA? With the Battle of Five Armies presumably being a major scene, I hope we get more orcs or maybe even Dain Ironfoot's dwarven infantry.
  5. Aside from normal clearance priced sets that I buy exclusively, I found a Goblin King Battle set at Walmart for only $30 since the box was open. Everything was included.
  6. I bought three Council of Elrond sets for $18.18 each. Every Target near me has stacks of this set and a few others on clearance. I also bought a Weathertop at Toys R Us. Normally about $80 at TRU, it was on clearance for $55 and lego was on sale for $15 off $50 purchases, so I got it for $40.
  7. Mordor battle pack. Maybe it could include a nice structure like Uruk Hai Army or Mordor Elf Army that will enable us to build our own citadel if we acquire enough.
  8. I got a Mirkwood Elf Army at Target for $22.38 and two Lake-town guard polybags at Toys R Us for $5 each.
  9. Just marvelous. Do I see Hydronaut hoses used as tree trunks?
  10. I can't wait to see your armies all set up.
  11. I found Dol Guldur Ambush at Target for $14 today.
  12. Superb work on that giant dwarf statue and stag. The landscape itself ain't bad either.
  13. Very impressive to the last detail! Profile bricks are nice, but when you have enough 2x2s, who needs'em? I really like what you did with the stairs.
  14. Due to my narrow interest in modern Lego thanks to my wallet, I only watch their reviews of Castle/LotR/Hobbit sets, so I haven't heard the full of their mistakes on my own. I still like their videos well enough, but those videos opened my eyes a little about why not everyone likes them. Overall, it's just Lego, so I can't judge them too critically, questionable parenting aside.
  15. That's how I feel. Aside from the Isengarders, orcs don't seem to be unified by any cultural style and could use almost any old medieval style helm and may even look fine in something like this:
  16. That's lovely. It's like a cozier version of Gas N' Wash Express.
  17. The CGI goblins did get terribly out of hand in the Misty Mountains. The extended edition's bonus footage shows amazing practical goblins with some of the most elaborate prosthetics I've ever seen. It sure is a pity you don't notice them in the movie because there are way too many CGI goblins cluttering every frame of that scene. That DVD also shows a lot of awesome practical Azogs ditched in favor of the most boring orc design to date.
  18. I really like the fell beast, especially the webbing in the wings. Despite being Lego, it looks organic.
  19. I gotta say that this theme better not be over! There's just way too much in demand they haven't supplied yet.
  20. That's so tight! But it does kinda spoil the best part of the movie.
  21. When selling minifigs, is it customary to include their weapons and accessories with them?
  22. And then you can use the discarded hunter legs to turn your goblin scribes into regular Misty Mountain goblins.
  23. You could also buy the orcs individually alone on Bricklink. Mordor and Moria orc army building with sets alone is impractical since the sets that include them are expensive and/or rare/retired.
  24. That is one army you don't want to mess with!
