  1. Oh its a long-running local joke - everytime someone says its 'their' year, they must be 24, because they can't possibly be 36, or 48!
  2. Sure - the older sets are a little harder to get hold of but I can probably put together a set of 3 (you will need to wait another 9 years for the full set of 12! - and that's assuming Lego keeps making them) for 40€ or less. Roosters are currently going locally for 9€. Don't need anything at the moment though, thanks, though I will let you know if something comes up. Sure - so I'm guessing you are 24 this year?
  3. Sorry to cause trouble! I am happy to take any of the other available rooms by myself if it makes the allocation easier. Cost is not really an issue for me.
  4. I have a few spares of the year of the Rooster set, and can obtain more if there is a demand. I can probably also procure some year of the Monkey and year of the Sheep sets as well if people are interested in those.
  5. Well since unlike most participants I can't shove bricks into every nook and cranny of a car for the drive home, so will need to come prepared
  6. I think i need to come prepared with plenty of luggage space!!
  7. Excited! Have booked plane tickets (yay frequent flyer miles) and reserved a car. Now all that is left to do is to wait...
  8. I /should/ be arriving in Munich on Wednesday morning (flight lands at 7 in the morning), however since I don't have a chance to visit Germany all that often am planning to take a small side trip first. This is tentative but I am thinking of going to visit Neuschwanstein Castle in Fussen before arriving in Gunzburg on Wednesday evening. Let me know if you (or anyone else!) would like to join - am definitely getting a rental car and am happy to drive.
  9. Thank you! I'm just a little anti social during the day but more anti social at night but I hope to get to know all of you! No problem if I cannot join afol shopping, I don't buy many sets anyway. I spend far more on PAB and bricklink.
  10. I'm signing up! Need reservation - yes Room sharing - no (sorry am a little bit antisocial like that. Happy to pay for two or more if it's a problem) Number of persons / length of stay - 1 person 4 nights Wednesday through Saturday Registered rlug member - yes but I asked my LUA about the VIP card and sticker and he has absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. Is this applicable to European rlugs only?
  11. Thank you very much for replying. Count me in! When will more details be available - accommodation arrangements etc? Should I arrange to arrive in Gunzburg on Wednesday evening and leave on Sunday morning?
  12. I have read through most of the topics from previous editions but I still can't quite wrap my head around what goes on at these. It seems like in 2013 (the last time the event was held in Gunzburg) there was a Munich city tour for one day and a Legoland visit for two days. I get that hanging out with fellow EBers from around the world can be fun and interesting and of course cheap Lego is always a draw but is there something more compelling that I'm missing? I am interested in going - may be able to work this in as part of a work trip - but need more information first! Also I have the option of flying in to Munich or Frankfurt, any suggestions on which is a better choice?
  13. Entry A - 1 point Entry C - 1 point Entry J - 1 point
  14. I would totally stay in a suite in a hotel like that.
  15. What is your budget? If you do not have any preference on the design / pattern of the heads and torsos etc, I would imagine BL is your best bet - try to look for somewhat local sellers with high quantities of cheap parts.
  16. Sellers, of course.
  17. I'm guessing this is not online...
  18. My two year old recently mastered the PF remote so now she can get a train to start, accelerate, slow down, stop. Lego is all she ever wants to play with these days!
  19. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Next step, time to build some of these!
  20. Isn't 60098 the heavy haul train???
  21. Open air beerhouse type place?
  22. Generally with this (as with most things in life) you get what you pay for. Baseplates cost more than duct tape (I've never heard of anyone using duct tape for roads actually!) but will look much better. Brick built roads will cost more (but not as much as you think - black bricks are decently cheap on Bricklink) but will look much, much better.
  23. I stayed at the Hotel Propellen when I was there last year, which was decent but as people have said, overpriced.
  24. Not sure what your scale is but this is what I'm doing to elevate my modular buildings. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92307&st=50#entry2115833
