Is it time for LEGO to stop being colorblind?
neonic replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think Lego just have to keep it to the yellow figures. It's yellow for years and it's really iconic. You can call it, what you say, 'colorblind'. You can also think 'everybody is the same'. I guess it's created years ago with the thoughts of just 'toys', kids can build what they want and play with it and having fun. And not to bordering them with political stuff and racism. Just having fun. If it's a racist thing Chinese people could complain also, and I've never hear of them so ... There more and more people who searching things behind ... everything, just like Saint Nicholas in the Netherlands. I can give you more examples but I don't want to go complain to much About the yellow figures? Wich is good, nice ... nothing wrong with it. However, it's pretty weird that Duplo and Friends well have colored kids. How about that? -
Like it? it's amazing Seeing the first picture, you can't even imaging it's Lego. Looks like a 'normal' scalemodel (positve way ) And the stainedglasswindows, wow. It all ready looks great, when it's dark it would look amazing I think. Love to see pics when it's a bit darker.

[S12 - Nar Shaddaa - TT] Dr. Cornelius Evazan's Lab

really cool great build with all those piping, tubing and stuff, lot of details. the heads in the jars looks good, nice one. also like that tank, next to those with the figures in it, with those round pieces. looks like some bubbles. -
I think it really suck like ... (better not say it), absolute megablocks. I can understand that they are disagree with what happend but what has all those thousends of 'good' cops to do with it? With this action it looks like they make all the cops black, maybe a wrong choice of word? The're a lot of cops who demonstrate with the people against that action of that cop. So to pull back all those sets makes no sense at all. And what the megabluck has all those other emergency stuff to do with it? What did the firebrigade? Those people risking their lives fighting fire and rescue people. And that donut shop? Why? Can a hardworking cop, risking his live every day not go for a donut? It's really dumb to shave everything and everyone over a comb (dutch saying). And why the White house? Only because of that retarded rules there? If you look at it that way they can also pull back the Chinese wall because the Corona virus started in China, pulling back all the sports and racing cars because some people do streetracing and so on.

lego ideas [LEGO IDEAS] "Imperial Island Fort" by BrickHammer is now in REVIEW!
neonic replied to leafan's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great build the Architecture / rocks, the trees, the colors ... just great Also like that little 'island' with the cannon, nice touch. -
Great build, nice temple. And indeed it has some arabic touches I think. The landscape looks great too with those trees and all the vegetation.
-
Looks great, amazing building. It's a bit 'cleaner' that the most (gothic) cathedral but lot of details and stuff like those handcuffs in those 4 'windows' on the side and those statues. One of them looks like a bit of grim reaper the Lighting inside looks great with the stained glass window. Give a great effect. I can't think of any tips actually, looks great. Only the colored minifigures on the columns looks a bit odd to comparing to the medieval / gothic look.
-
It's colossal indeed It's not really the 'standard' kind of castle. Especially like those archy figures on the towers and wall. Looks a bit arabic. Like the colors too, that black and white looks good with those golden pieces. And the trees... fits well with the other 'odd' colors. Nice creation. Maybe stupid question but ... no front door?

Cool, I think he's the happiest kid

Great plane Nice coloring, complete with the yellow nose and german logo's. Like the rear wheel too, nice one.
-
Nice little scenery, great story too. Great palm tree too. "we've finally reached the ruins of Havilah" If it's a ruin I think you could add some bricks around it to give it a more of a ruin-look. Now it looks a bit too 'new'.

Very nice Looks great with all those details. It looks 'new' but it still has a bit oldskool look with the colorscheme and those minifigures and stuff. Nice too see, like it. Another thing I like is that base build in that rock (nice rock too, and terrain). -
Nice creation, nice storyline too indeed Besides that it has some nice and creative things on it too, like those bugs with minifigure arms as legs and the raised floor is a nice touch too, reminds me too those computerfloors. Handy too add some pipes and stuff like you did. I like those stairs too, maybe I can steal that idea for my truck

Nice one. So small and so detailed. Nice coloring scheme too.

Nice pic of the airintakes. I've never seen them like that. I only see them straight up like the one in the link. https://www.pinterest.pt/pin/309200330659605016/- 18 replies

For me it's no problem. I've white Lego pieces wich are a little bit colored by the sun in the past 15a 20 years Even the 'white' piece wich I thought they're pretty white were nog so white comparing with the one I've ordered a while ago.

Great moc, much diffrent too and a lot of details I think the use of bottles and stuff might be a good idea indeed. Mostly there are people hang out on such places. the only thing I was thinking of. the building itself looks a bit too 'new'. Maybe it's an idea to use a few other colored parts and / or add some bricks of the building on the groud? Depends of course of how much abandoned you wanted too be. Looking too the vegatations it's already out of use for a while, nice detail.
-
I agree with the previous reactions. Besides it's a great moc, the design itself, the coloring and stuff, there are a is a things wich realy 'pops-out' One ... the blue/white on the baywindow, with matching door. Other nice detail is indeed the 'green' roof.
-
realy cool especially like the front, the details and stuff. actually everything.
-
Really nice and very recognisable. No doubt about it, even without the letters Like the whole build but especially all those furniture and all those other details. Great job. Nice cars too. Later you post some pics about the revolving door and the stickers, like those chairs too on the second floor and that floorplan, realy nice detail. Do you haven't got any reaction from Ikea itself?

Nice aquaduct, looking good, but ... I think I like the rest even more. Nice river 'scene' with all those trees and bushes and rocky slopes. nice little waterfall too. And for some reason, I like the colors of it. Looks really ...
