Kickstarter: ME Models Tracks for both metal and ABS only track pieces
v6TransAM replied to JopieK's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Glad to see you guys got the job done! I know some folks are disappointed in the timeline, just know, that no one else picked up this challenge, let alone put out product. -
So a leak is a leak and news it is. Why does Eurobrick bend over for Lego? Was this a test to see how much we all actually hate it?

Yuch............. This is what we get for trains and the creator label?????? Pretty sad. Went from having my hopes up to "Oh look an overpriced underwhelming train.." Sad part is my 6yr old and 3 yr old like it, thought I taught them better than that lol

It was 2 hours away from me and I had to work nights all thru the weekend at the end of the turnaround. I wanted to go and take the 6yr old with me. -
Kickstarter: ME Models Tracks for both metal and ABS only track pieces
v6TransAM replied to JopieK's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I won't defend them for being late on all fronts with both styles of track. I will defend them for having the balls to go through with this project in both metal and plastic track with the amount of kickstarter losers who welched on pledges! They put a lot more of their money into this project than was ever planned and that resulted in delays from the get go and them selling product to use money for next phase of the project. Admit it, the market is limited on plastic or metal and they are not becoming rich people off of this. I will say the communication could have been better. I will admit I like seeing things getting done rather than answers to emails, but a quick post here or there could have done the same thing -
Pride cometh before the blah blah blah EMD F7

I see that and the Chuggington theme song plays in my head and I hate Chuggington with a passion. -
Nice! Awesome looking. Getting back in HO with the boy makes us do a little less Lego train, although both are expensive as @#!%@!$
-
Hope it's something good..... We can dream, doing more HO scale since I joined a club with the 6 yr old than anything else. Working 12/14 nights for 3 mths isn't helping.
-
I think that is awesome.
-
I think it has a lot more to do with the extra stuff associated with it being pneumatic rather than the deflectors. Pneumatic stuff ruins the line of the FEF-1 - FEF-3 class, which when seen without smoke deflectors tends to have a narrower boiler than most.

Eneloop from ebay or Amazon. I no longer waste money on other rechargeable batteries.

Semi-passable and good are two different things. No offense meant. We need some kind of Lego actual 3 axle truck(that will prolly never happen) The brick built truck side frames only look decent once u get in to the wider MOC stuff. I've spent too much time around the real stuff and model stuff, I can't get past it
-
Those changes make it about spot on. Might want to shorten the cab by one and see how it looks. To me, it looks like one of the best Lego version I have seen. Now if we only had good way to go about the 3 axle trucks.

The PennLUG Roundhouse and Locomotive Service Terminal

I don't know what else to say but @#$%#$, @##@$%$, Holy @$%$%$ and blankity blank beep #@$#@$! That is awesome! -
I say we celebrate it by raising already high prices higher and also reducing piece count and yet even more pieces molded into one that were separate bricks just a couple years ago........ Barring that(which will happen regardless lol) I say we should take a version of Sava'a Daylight and make a Lego Freedom Train out of it.
-
Mine mostly depends on whether the wee ones are good or not as well as the almighty income from the new job. If outage goes as planned and I get the 1-2yr pay jump 5 mths early all will be well. Itching for an American steam engine, have Sava's plans for the 4449, but really really digging the Northerns, Big Boys and Challenger people seem to fling about here being a long time UP guy.

Ohm the motor and post the results if you are able to with an ohmmeter. I can grab mine from garage and post results on a good motor later.

Don't start this garbage again...... Simple drill bit and your hand fixes any issues on the LEGO side of the box. Ream the holes with a drill bit by hand and you will never have the issue again as long as you live.

I run Eneloop rechargeable batteries almost exclusively in the kids toys. Can get them from Amazon, on ebay and also some folks have said Costco. I go where the best deals are. I did get pretty good run time out of quality alkaline batteries like Duracell and Energizers before I got the Eneloops, so you may be running a cheaper battery or suffering from excessive drag somewhere. Check all the wheel sets for free movement and pay close attention the the trucks/wheel sets on the engine, both powered and not. If you have them pushed on too toghtly all you are doing is creating drag, so make sure they have some wiggle room on each side.

Season's Greetings, and Merry Christmas!
v6TransAM replied to brickbuilder711's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Merry Christmas folks. Boy is getting a good start on his Lego city to go with the trains in the morning. -
Make sure remote and receiver are on the same channel. There are 4 positions. They would both need to be on the same position, i.e. #1 would be at the top on receiver and remote and #4 would be all the way at the bottom. Also have some more troubleshooting on lego.com for PF stuff. Post anymore issues here as well and we can try and help.

Nice looking engine.
