    This topic reminds me of the Nidhiki and Dume toa sets. It would have been really interested to see how different the theme turned out if they were the Mahri. Anybody have some interdimensional device I could borrow?

    Hilarious. It's kind of interesting how they're going for "print out some stuff and make your own comic" kind of thing. Usually they just made digital comic makers, which I would have honestly preferred.

    In all honesty, they're playing with kid's toys as much as we are. Just look different, really. I am wondering why people keep suggesting Doctor Who... It's a good show, but since its targeted for older audiences I just don't see it catching on. The Simpsons did have their own sets, but likely due to it's cartoonish nature and the theme was likely just a one-off kind of thing.

    Haha..... It's funny seeing all the comments on Lego's Google+ page countdown images. People are denying that it's Bionicle Also, nice work on that gearbox sketch. Looks pretty awesome.

    I've collected more CCBS sets than I would have ever had in Bionicle sets. That system really works wonders. Well, we may never figure out those unresolved plot points. Not even the almighty lord Farshtey will give us the answers.

    Pretty cool! Really like the way you made the logo. Destiny is quite the game, and these figures capture them very well.

    I've seen loads of old bionicle fans disproving of the new sets on sites like Youtube and especially 4chan, and fortunately not many other places. I hope that the gearboxes will be less specialized than the Mata ones, that way they can be used for more than just figures.

    Something I've noticed about these new sets is that they've tried to appeal to every bionicle fan (The functions and armor aesthetics to name a few). It's a great effort, and they are doing pretty well at it, but there simply isn't a surefire way to please everyone. All of those "diehard" Bionicle fans will likely hate it since the reboot will "ruin their childhood" because of CCBS. Really, it's kind of pointless to complain. After all, we are just people playing with kids toys.

    Did you guys notice the very small flap protruding down the middle of the boxes? Perhaps they could act as set "previews" you flip up to view more info. Maybe it could have a clear view of the parts, backstory, or functions.

    The LEGO community is essentially divided into two groups: Those who are system junkies, and those who like constraction. Of course, there are some who like both. In the end, we're all just people playing with kids toys. Anyway, if the gear function bothers anyone, you can just put the arm on the exposed ball joint. Problem solved?

    holy crap im jumping with joy right now These sets are pretty cool. Lots of cool new weapon parts and masks and such. Those new armor addons most certainly have a Bionicle aesthetic to it. Awesome. EDIT: A lot of visible function pieces; Onua and LOSS most notably.

    I'm not a fan of new shells. Keeping the original ones, while most of the new armor details come from addons. Think of it: you could attach the detailed addons to any shell you'd like and it would give them a more bionicle-esque aesthetic.

    Yeah, you're probably right, but we already know the leaks are completely real. Those wookiee gunship blasters on the sets prove the image is real.
