[P6-LS] Joining Blackmoon Squadron
Ephseb replied to Ephseb's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
Thank you both! It's high praise coming from builders as talented as you. My goal with my second attempt at the E-Wing was to make it larger and thus more to scale with Lego's X-Wings. For that, I also had to redesign the snout, which was not very stable nor pretty looking in the old version. I will post a thread with pictures of all 3 of my E-Wings on the main Star Wars forum so more people see them ☺️ As for the hangar - I was sitting in my room last week when suddenly, there was this "lightbulb" moment - I knew it'd work out with a SNOT approach, because using tiles would have been annoying to assemble and to take apart, and I wasn't sure whether I had enough dark grey and yellow tiles left. I did know that I wouldn't have enough pieces left to build a complete hangar bay and have it look as good & professional as I'd want it to within 3 or 4 days.- 10 replies

That's funny! But it's not a surprise IMO, it's the most "logical" way to make Malak out of existing parts. I don't mind at all if you also enter OR figures :) I have a few more, like Carth Onasi, Lucien Draay and Rohlan Dyre, but they weren't eligible as I'd already shown them elsewhere. I always love to see what others come up with, and to get inspired by it.

I just entered the "May the 4th" Minfigure contest - here's my take on some Old Republic characters! TOTJ + KOTOR Zayne, Nihilus, Exar Kun, Malak, Bastila
-
First of all, I'm a little sad that most of my custom figures - which I can assure you are much better than these - aren't eligible for this contest. But giving up? That's not the Jedi way. I present: My tribute to some of the Expanded Universe's most famous characters, in this case, straight from the comic series Tales Of The Jedi and Knights Of The Old Republic, and of course the KOTOR videogames. Because Lego still hasn't made yellow lightsaber blades, the old „green" ones were used instead. Picture 1 From left to right: Zayne Carrick - Darth Nihilus - Exar Kun - Darth Malak - Bastila Shan Picture 2 One more, with better lighting: Picture 3 Again, I swear this isn't the best I can do - I hope you still like it and get inspired to make your own Legends figures! We can always help and learn from one another, like true Jedi. May the Force[4th] be with you!
-
The time has come for my K-Wing to shine! I've never uploaded pics anywhere, just in the hopes of it being eligible for a new EB contest! And I have like 40 purist custom figures! Will definitely enter in that category as well!

[P6-LS] Joining Blackmoon Squadron
Ephseb replied to Ephseb's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
thanks! I built one a few years ago (2015/16) but took it apart due to structural issues in the front part and it just not being a very pretty model. I reworked it from the ground up, the only things that stayed the same were the rear compartment for the droid and the engines. Of the new version, I have now built 3: one white with a red stripe (like the NEGVV image), one yellow with black accents (nod to the Tanaab Yellow Aces) and this one. The landing gear was improvised within the last 2 days. In my cabinet, I display the E-Wings "in flight" (with transparent bricks)- 10 replies

LIGHT SIDE TEAM: Introduction
Ephseb replied to MKJoshA's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
My character introduction: Mysteries EB-RPG SigFig Lieutenant Seb "Chase" Koltin Species: male Human Homeworld: Vondarc Affilation: Starfighter Command, Combined Defense Forces of the New Republic Koltin was born in 21 BBY. After completing his education, he piloted commercial ships in his home sector before being recruited for the Rebellion after the Battle of Derra IV. He flew Z-95s and T-65Bs in the Tapani Sector resistance under former Corellian Senator Garm Bel Iblis and in Bothan Space under the command of Rear Admiral Athras Kre'fey. Under the New Republic, he has been flying peacekeeping missions out of Kothlis, defending civilian spacetraffic in Bothan Space and adjacent sectors against pirates and upstart Imperial Governors. Now, he has been sent to the New Republic Starfighter Command base on Phindar, assgined to take a place in the recently-established Blackmoon Squadron, which is outfitted with Incom/FreiTek's newest space superiority fighter - the E-Wing. -

[P6-LS] Joining Blackmoon Squadron
Ephseb posted a topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
*Your entry has earned 13 XP (S:4, T:4, A:5) + 5 bonus XP for a total of 18XP Lieutenant Seb „Chase“ Koltin Phindar, Demetras Sector, Outer Rim Territories 43:3:16 GrS (9 ABY) After the New Republic’s conquest of the Pyria system, Wing Commander Varth created Blackmoon Squadron, referring to the codename of the planet Borleias during the operation. For his new squadron, which is made up of fresh-off-the-assembly-line E-Wings, the experienced officer recruited mainly pilots with experience in flying Incom vessels for clandestine Rebel Alliance cells in heavily fortified Imperial sectors. Blackmoon Squadron has flown its first missions out of Phindar in the Demetras Sector. In stark contrast to Commander Varth’s reputation, the squadron has only lost a single pilot during the first four standard months of its existence. As a replacement for the fallen squadron member, Seb Koltin, a native of Vondarc and former commercial pilot, has been recommended to Commander Varth. Koltin has combat experience in both the Z-95 and T-65B, having served in Bothan Space and the Tapani sector during the height of the Rebellion. FXT29954 Seb Koltin: Lieutenant Koltin reporting for duty, Commander! Cmdr. Varth: At ease. Welcome to Phindar, Lieutenant, I hope you had an uneventful journey. You’re taking the callsign Blackmoon 9. Simulator training is scheduled daily at 0900 and 1800 hours, unless otherwise specified. Your quarters are in Complex Besh, Room 272. I’ll introduce you to the squadron and our support staff at tonight’s briefing, 2100, conference room Four, Complex Besh. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For my first ever Eurobricks RPG build, I’ve created the hangar-space for Blackmoon 9 (indicated by the Aurebesh “9” on the floor) at the New Republic base on Phindar, the accompanying E-Wing starfighter, utility towers for mechanics, a mobile refueling tank and a ladder for climbing up into the cockpit. I hope you like it and would appreciate any feedback! Understood! I assume CEC and other corporations like SoroSuub, Hoersch-Kessel, KDY or Loronar still exist and I can use or reference them in builds? -

I'd want to be on the New Republic's side of course - a little sad that this is set in the new canon timeline :/ But on the upside, that gives me more to work with as I have fewer reservations of just making stuff up for that timeline One question for the worldbuilding.. When talking about CorSec, it (a system police force) is said to be a supplier of the NR military. Is that the case in new-canon? Cause I initially assumed it was a typo and you were thinking of the Corellian Engineering Corporation. -
Hi everyone :) I'm a Star Wars guy first and foremost, but I started collecting Marvel stuff in 2017/18 in the run-up to Infinity War, and also began building Marvel MOCs. This is the first one I like enough to share it on here. It is obviously based on the Pizza building from the Sanctum set 76108. I used the tan wall-bricks and black windows as a base for the aesthetic of the building. Mysteries Kick-Off Contest
Ephseb replied to MKJoshA's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
ok, I'm not nearly experienced enough nor creative enough to take part in an RPG - (the reason I once GM'd for a WEG Star Wars RPG group is that I'm a walking Star Wars Legends lexicon) - if I understood it correctly, it's only possible to take part in the contest if you also take part in this new Mysteries RPG? -
it really is!
