  1. Thank you Alfadas! I started by building the engines and wings, then moved on to the main body and finished with the "snout". I also tried to put the torpedo launchers somewhere where they wouldn't look too much out of place. Since it seems to be the go-to-website for hosting pictures, I'll get myself a flickr account asap. I hope my entry counts anyway, regardless of the website linked to.
  2. Cat. A.: Tsoss Beacon Conference (Darksaber) Cat. B.: E-Wing Starfighter (Tyrant's Test) Hope that counts. @Admins: please notify me if I did something wrong and how to correct my mistake(s). Thanks
  3. Hello EB community! My entry for the SWEU Contest (Category: Interaction) is the Tsoss Beacon Conference from the novel "Darksaber" by Kevin J Anderson. In 12 ABY, Admiral Natasi Daala called the remaining 13 warlords to Tsoss Beacon in the Deep Core in order reunify the warring Imperial factions. Among those present were self-stylized Superior General Sander Delvardus, High Admiral Treuten Teradoc and Admiral Blitzer Harrsk. When the warlords refused to cooperate, Daala gassed them and took command of their forces. You can find details on Wookieepedia: http://starwars.wiki...l_Reunification My vignette is based on this illustration: Daala reenacts a scene from her favorite movie: Goldfinger The Warlords don't match Harrsk, Delvardus and Teradoc because I didn't have better minifig-heads. Also, I placed Daala and Gilad outside the conference room because Lego doesn't make gas masks, I hope that can be seen as artistic freedom. 4. Hello EB community! My entry for the SWEU Contest (Category: Starships) is the E-Wing Starfighter. Commissioned by the New Republic during the Thrawn campaign as a replacement for the X-Wing, the E-Wing remained in service until after the Yuuzhan Vong War. E-Wings were often carried into battle by Endurance-class Fleet Carriers, MC90 Star Cruisers and Imperial-II-class Star Destroyers. Since the NJO novels aren't eligible for the contest, this fighter is active during the Black Fleet Crisis, particularly the Battle of ILC-905. (from: Tyrant's Test) You can find details, technical specifications and reference pictures on Wookieepedia: http://starwars.wiki...ort_starfighter Pictures: Link to the album: [EDITED August 5th, 2015: changed link from Picasa to Flickr]
  5. @ admins - would a vignette of the Tsoss Beacon conference be eligible? There are no good guys in that interaction scene ..... (except for Pellaeon) An extension would be ok with me
  6. Looks good! Now I want that torso.... @ArmstrongYong @ MartinCliffe Crimson Empire III: Empire Lost (9 years after Episode 6) completes the story of Royal Guard Kir Kanos, who is pitted against Ennix Devian and his forces of the "Restored Empire", who plans to take power over the Imperial Remnant from Supreme Commander Admiral Gilad Pellaeon (who in turn seeks peace with the New Republic). Kanos defends Pellaeon from an assassination attempt and fights against Devian's stormtroopers, so that's about it.
  7. Anyone else think the Pirate guy in the Falcon set looks somewhat like Talon Karrde?
  8. I don't really get what you mean by "organic feeling". But regarding your first point, does no one notice how slightly tweaked existing designs ("Special Forces" TIE, X-Wing and especially the Falcon), get everyone screaming "It's just like the OT!!!, while just being different enough to sell the new toys? Why not use designs that would be new to most casual fans, like the TIE Agressor, TIE Hunter, TIE Raptor, TIE Phantom, E-Wing, K-Wing, .... There's not a single reason for not using the starships from the old EU in the new continuity other than recognition value. @ the C-3PO polybag: there's no reason to get this if one's not a completionist. Just put a dark red arm onto your old 3PO and voilà, you have your own TFA version. IMO polybags should only include figures you won't get anywhere else.
  9. Well, I'm glad we seem to be getting a Wes Janson figure, but Wedge would have to be there as well. The Ion Cannon looks ok, but it's lego, so there are limitations. Nice nod to the ISD Tyrant / Rebel Dream on the Cannon's targeting system though.
  10. As a noob going up aginst pros, I don't expect to win, but we need to show support for the EU. Now, should I enter my TIE Raptor or E-WIng? The Nsiss-class is out of the timeframe anyway, and I doubt I'd be able to finish mine in time.
  11. These look fantastic, but then again, everything you build does. Would it be possible to get the instructions for them somehow?
  12. Since there's a new winter gear Alliance soldier in the Advent calendar, I'm curious as to which and how many minifigs will be included in the Echo Base set. I'd love to see Wedge, Wes, Hobbie and Tycho instead of another Luke and Dack, since it will certainly be the last chance to get the Fab Four.
  13. I didn't know they changed even that tiny detail.....I followed the "Legends" timeline for so long and I don't think I'll ever see the new canon as anything but Infinities. but back to Lego: does anyone know if the part used for the windows of the DS2 Throne room will be a new mold?
  14. I guess they named the exclusive figure "Admiral" Yularen because of TCW.....since in ANH, and that's what this version is based on, he was a Colonel. And not with the Imperial Navy, but with the ISB. Do we know when the Winter 2014 sets will retire? I want to get one of those for the May 4th promo.
  15. Is the price for the Flash Speeder €39,99 or €29,99? Cause the Droid-Tri Fighter and the Snowspeeder from last year are both €39,99 although I'd pay €25 at most, and the Flash Speeder looks like it's the same size as those.
  16. Thank god I won't get those, seems like they're raising the prices again...I'm eager to see the - likely even higher - prices in Euro. Oh well, then I'll have some money left for City sets.
  17. RECAP!: Tydirium: will get. good figures, new Leia and SpecForces. cookie is a nice touch. Sadly no Judder Page. - 9/10 Final Duel: will get. nice build, figures are ok, I need Palpatine and Luke. Vader's face looks outstanding, but the new helmet's not my type. - 9/10 Gozanti: will not get. Rebels/10 Flash Speeder: will get figures or on huge discount. probably high price in GER/AUT - 5/10 Naboo N1: will not get. don't need another one - 7/10 Sith Inf: already have one. Action figures: will not get. Vader ok, Luke - laughable/10 Calendar: maybe on a discount. those are severly overpriced. some useful figures - 6/10 Other sets: will not get. - TFA/10 All of these are old, except for the Tusken who is in the T-16 set
  18. the action figure looks ridiculous! I wonder if anyone will buy those..
  19. Thank you all for your nice replies! If I open it within the next week, I'll put the figs into zip-bags right away. (where Cyclops is now) but, like with Storm, I may use Magneto's head and hair (Ardus Kaine anyone?). I already have some Ideas what to do with the sentinel....I'll post pictures when I have some time off and get the chance. all the best, guys!
  20. this'll be a cheap year by the looks of it......but I need affordable Wookiees for my Kashyyyk Battle
  21. Dear X-Men-Fans, I got set 76022 X-Men vs Sentinel on a 30% sale as a parts pack. Do you think I should keep Bag 1 (Magneto, Wolverine figures and the Sentinel) sealed and sell it later or do you think the parts are useful enough to justify opening it? (I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid question to you) I appreciate any thoughts and will consider your advice and it will play into my decision. Ephseb
  22. Could the Minifigure in the character encyclopedia be Tion Medon? The guy who welcomed Obi-Wan on Utapau? Just a guess. And I don't need the action figures, so I'll save some money for Tydirium and Final Duel
  23. Ok, so I'll definitely get the Tydirium and Final Duel sets...and that's pretty much it for me, not interested in Rebels or E7:TFA, maybe i'll grab some parts from bricklink. At least this year won't be as expensive as 2014...
  24. Looks cool! I like the design of the bed and chair a lot! Correct me if I'm wrong, I guess that's supposed to be a Bothan? Where did you get the head piece? (I need one to make Traest Kre'fey)
  25. Late to the party, I know, but here are some general thoughts on the summer rumors: I already own the 2007 N1 and really don't need another. The Flash Speeder sounds very expensive, I may get it on sale if the figures are interesting. Final Duel is a must, because of the Nostalgia (Christmas 2002) and new Sidious & Luke. Seeging how I don't have a Lambda-shuttle yet, might get it this time. Does anyone think that it would be possible for the Tydirium to include a new Crix Madine figure? I have enough Rebel Commandos ;) Don't care at all for Rebels/TCW or Episode 7, so nothing really interesting there so far, though I hope for some useful new minifig parts to use for assembling the characters from the X-Wing, Thrawn and NJO series.
