  1. There is some rumor based on a Dutch vendor about the re-release of Castle sets, so... you never know...

    Lego Mine?

well, there is a review available, so...
  3. nice built!!! Looks very good.
  4. Very nice set, very nice review!
  5. hehe, very nice job!
  6. hehe, very nice idea... now you need a mr. Monk ;)
  7. Very nice, saw them already @ 1000steine.de
  8. Check this: http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/09/esa-nasa-test-interplanetary-internet-by-remote-controlling-lego/ NASA (and the ESA) have long been working on a multi-planet internet that can link up spaceships, probes and rovers, but they've at last brought the experimentation from the broad scale to smaller dimensions. Lego bricks, to be exact. International Space Station expedition lead Sunita Williams recently steered a Lego Mindstorms robot at an ESA facility in Darmstadt while she orbited overhead, proving that future space explorers could directly control a vehicle on a planetary surface while staying out of harm's way. As in the past, the key to the latest dry run was a Disruption-Tolerant Networking (DTN) system; the focus was more on reliably getting packets through to the brick-based vehicle than on pure speed. As tame as that Earth-bound test drive might sound relative to an in-the-field use on a less familiar world, it demonstrates that the DTN approach can work when it really counts. We just wouldn't hold our breath for any Martian RC car races. Maybe DTN is also handy for LEGO enthusiasts?! :)
  9. also check our friend Philo at his philohome website: link He has an extensive motor comparison with a.o. the train motors.
  10. Cute little MOC!!! Nice job.
  11. Well brickset etc. have also picked up on those numbers...
  12. We might be able to help out with the stickers :) plenty of experience! Our machine can print white on transparent we do that for 12V series as well...
  13. It would also be nice to have a peg for PF Train motors to connect wheels in the middle and thus decently mimic the red motors from the past... but then the long side as a cross axle. or but then 1 instead of 3 in length (red would be best, but black is also nice ;))
  14. that looks promising! but all castle! Expected: First of aug. 2013?! This shop seems to have special connections (not always appreciated by AFOL communities), like with the Maersk, they were the first to have the Maersk train for demo purposes. "Deze catagorie is bestemd voor LEGO sets die reeds al eens eerder zijn uitgebracht. LEGO heeft besloten een aantal klassiekers terug te laten keren onder de naam LEGO Legends..." This categorie is designated for LEGO sets formerly released. LEGO has decided to let a number of classics return under the LEGO Legends flag.
  15. Welcome and enjoy your stay at EB!
  16. Email sent, I had this idea for articles I could right for our fellow train fans (in parts for about 4 issues): 1/4. general idea of Arduino and why it is very nice for the LEGO Fans 2/4. how to create an Arduino controlled train (without modifying any LEGO): Arduino as a PF sender 3/4. how to control switches and points with Arduino: Arduino as a PF receiver 4/4. how to merge things into a larger system (level crossing, etc.)
  17. that is how I do it indeed and it works fine, but maybe the board can also just allow certain terms like NXT!
  18. I wanted to search for issues with the NXT-G software in Mac. I knew I had seen a topic about it. EB.com search does not let me use NXT and MAC as search items since they are only 3 letters... both NXT and MAC have a quite distinct meaning, so that is not very wise of course (although after some trouble I found what I needed).
  19. Original ones Steinkopf said he had a good look at ;) : SBB Tm 232.1 Mak G 400 (that one I see quite often when going to work) RhB Tm 2/2 After all... the aspects of all those are indeed very nicely modeled in the Steinkopf version!
  20. Very nice work, are those water based decals? Hilarious aftermath ;) The 'table' is a picture frame I assume?!
  21. very nice indeed!!! you have quite some white ;)
  22. That's for sure, those are very, very neat indeed!
  23. very nice, you almost have a whole Mediaeval city already!
  24. seems to be like a FLL contest area ;)
  25. very nice, cue little shunter! What train did you use as an example or is it just a custom one?!
