  1. I don't think I have ever seen old and new gray work in such perfect unison. This is an amazing piece worthy of being in an art exhibit.
  2. This is a quite good and fun alternate design. Dare I say, I think it's a better alternate than the ones included in the set's official instructions. Course I am partial to dune buggies and other off-road vehicles to begin with. Haha.
  3. Nice work in capturing the body frame and colors of this cute bird so well. The use of the black rubber bands in place for the talons is simply inspired and adds another level to the build. I will admit the topic's title was amusingly misleading. Haha.
  4. That's a pretty good idea. I didn't even think of it but that would make the minifigure match his cartoon self even better.
  5. This is very well done and strangely hypnotic in a relaxing way. It would make a pretty cool avatar I think.
  6. Man these are simply beyond awesome. Great designs and drivers at the wheel, Piratecox.
  7. I am looking forward to the baseplates myself especially if they are of different selectable sizes. 48x48 is too big for what I would like to do but 32x32 or even 16x32 would be grand.
  8. I totally want an army of this baddy. Wicked awesome. I kind of see a little Master Chief but not really. I think the problem is any space marine character in green will look like him one way or another which is unavoidable. In any case, I think this guy of yours is pretty cool. This is a character that needs to become reality. What city doesn't have a bowling alley? Besides I'm a big Lebowski fan. Flash Gordon, we need you! Haha.
  9. Somewhere down the line, I would imagine LEGO releasing some sort of Hairdresser or Hairstylist and honestly I'm hoping for one. Every city has like at least five different hair salons so a couple of minifigures would go great in a MOC. I just wonder if LEGO will go with a professional appearance or the glam look. The cup given to Apu or the Barista from The Lego Movie is a great piece I would like to see used more here & there. We have the Pizza Guy and an upcoming Hot Dog Guy so perhaps a Burger Guy is the next one on the agenda.
  10. If it's LEGO, I like it. Now while I do have various reasons for enjoying certain themes a bit more than others such as Creator with its freeform, I truly could not easily nor simply pick only one out of everything that ever was or will be. I like all the designs and challenges each provides. Plus more variety in bricks and colors makes building your own thing easier.
  11. I would like to see Lego bring back their classic orcs and trolls to the scene as well. The ones from the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit sets are great but I do miss the more classic look the Fantasy ones had. They shared the look of being a little evil yet somewhat goofy which to me made them more endearing than the current orcs of Tolkien. Also the unique helmet of the Fantasy era orcs were awesome deserving the opportunity to be used once more and perhaps in a variety of usable colors.
  12. Yes, this will be perfect for laying waste of those puny human encampments and looking good to boot! Such a wicked appearance to go with the rad design and the 'dead heads' strapped across the wheels are my favorite detail.
  13. If M:Tron ever made an official return, it would probably look something like this. These are fantastic designs and have great use of all the colors. The secondary hues of dark red and such compliment the primary ones very well. Your Red Riding Hood Robot has the same canopy idea I remember using on a similar mech concept back in the day except that was Ice Planet themed and I haven't seen the technique for the left arm used in a long time. Anyway I really could not pick only one of these as a favorite. I feel the same way as Benny and his spaceship. Haha.
  14. Just the ability for the robot to give a thumb up already makes this a winner. I must say the mecha features great form and the vehicle mode is very interesting like that of a concept car.
  15. I think my heart just stopped working because it can't handle the sheer amount of awesomeness this creation radiates.
  16. The use of handcuffs detailing the upper facade is interesting, the light-up sign is fantastic, and both sides are great to look at with plenty of bits all around.
  17. For a newbie, I would say you tackled this build like a pro. Anyway, it's always a good idea to challenge yourself by trying different things. You'll be a better builder and person for it.
  18. Dire Wolf, the first assault mech I remember seeing and first one I picked when I played the Mechwarrior 2 PC game back in the day. This is another spot-on build of yours. I wonder who would win in a battle between the Dire Wolf and an Atlas. They both have the same tonnage and ability to equip virtually anything but there is a few differences in specifications and weapons armaments. Actually, the classic Hunchback was the one I was referring to. I see nothing wrong with the IIC upgrade; I have just always been a fan of the original so this is pretty awesome. You really captured the 'roundness' of the legs and torso, and those arms fit the design perfectly.
  19. It's a character from an older movie called Short Circuit where the robot becomes sentient after getting struck by lightning. There is some similarity in appearance to Wall-E. Anyway, it's still impressive the number of alternate designs you have come up with using a single set. This has to be new record.
  20. That is seriously just simply phenomenal. I dare anyone to try and match the source material better than what you perfectly accomplished.
  21. Both models are brilliantly executed. You keep amazingly honing in your craft with each one of these built. Intentional or not, the robot form looks like Johnny-5 blended with a truck. Haha.
  22. I can understand the reasons why a person may not go through furnishing the interior due to the extra costs or all they care about is the fancy facade. However to me, the build seems incomplete without interior of any kind as it doesn't feel 'real' unless the place is meant to be an empty apartment waiting for somebody to move in. I enjoy decorating the inside well as the outer shell and it is fun having different scenes play out in certain places as you look around what you have on display.
  23. Amazing how much character this has from both the front and back. Nicely done and very interesting.
  24. I could use a number of the various canopy/windscreen pieces such as this, this, this, or this among a list of others in translucent red or green. I think it would be pretty cool to create something in the style of Space Police I & II but there really hasn't been many if at all of windscreens used in recent years made in translucent red or green. Excellent piece; I would love to have a handful of those right now!
  25. Spyrius, Unitron, Blacktron, any of the original Space themes honestly.
