  1. OOC: Copy, yeah I am tracking. I just put it in there since he is REALLY slowly lifting his arms to down everything. Haha. I can remove it though if you prefer..
  2. "Fine, but I can only revive you once so don't go getting knocked out again and again." Darksten says, adding "And you better not leave me to get mauled again just so you can effing hide and avoid damage" Darksten then attempts to even the odds by slowly taking a smelling salt and a remedy Suggested Battle order: Laureline: Lucky Chant from back Darksten: Smelling Salt and Remedy from back (slowed) Bobby: Shifty from back Leofwein: Sneaky from front
  3. "Effing hell" Darksten's anger starts to grow as once again the Dwarves start off with the upper hand. While it is nice having the extra help this battle, relying on an older lady to help fight off the intruders didn't do much for for the Ranger's pride Battle Order: Laureline: Crafty from back Darksten: Shifty from back (slowed) Bobby: Remedy from back (slowed) Leofwein: Grand Potion from back
  4. "Aww crap" Darksten mutters to himself when he sees the dwarves that got the best of them earlier. He quickly grabs his crossbow to attack them, but keeps his distance from the one that had ransacked him last time. The ranger sees the Hinckwell matriarch preparing for battle, and shouts out to her. "Ma'am, may I suggest using your guitar? We could use some luck against these three...and at the very least it will be the better melee weapon if needed..." Battle order: Bobby: shifty from the front Darksten: shifty from the back with crossbow Leofwein: Sneaky from the front Laureline: Crafty from the back with guitar
  5. With his mind made up, and at least some of his team in agreement with him, he officially decides that the party will honor the original contract. To the girl he simply states. "We will do our best to mitigate any fallout" Before giving a nod to his party and preparing to depart
  6. "Aye, we may have to pick one. However, if we side with this girl we are still going to have to come up with a story to explain how the song came out. And with Carly blasting it out everywhere, it will be pretty obvious where most people are hearing it. I say we uphold the honor of Heroica and do what our contract entails. We can try to keep the secret, but if it is forced out then hopefully the children's continued friendship will unite the families verse divide them." Darksten says, making his decision to stay on task and finish the contract
  7. "As our employer, I feel we are bound to fulfil the contract with her. I am perfectly fine glossing over facts, or skipping parts of the chain of events, but we will still have to answer to her. Hopefully we can talk to the Hinkwell boy before we talk to Laurine. If we get his side of the story maybe we can coach an answer for him." Darksten says, slightly conflicted about the situation "There is no reason for us to not say that Carly is now singing the song. We can say it originated with Lyren and that Carly got it through a friend of his. Laurine shouldn't need to know the middle men as she will have the original point of origin, and Carly doesn't know Bellanotte and Lyren won't give away his connection to the Shadeaux so they will be safe. So long as we keep our mouths shut, we can honor both agreements." The ranger states hopefully, grasping at straws
  8. "That is what I was thinking. We will need to talk to the Hinkwell boy to get his side of the story, as well as an agreement to play along, but I see no reason not to blend fact with fiction when we tell the final tale"
  9. "Lyren Hinkwell?" Darksten says, not really knowing the kid but recalling some of information he had read about him "hmm, well no worries, we can strike that from the record" Darksten says reassuringly, but lying through his teeth "Just interesting to know the back story." "How does it make you feel to hear Carly sing Lovebird knowing that you gave it to her? Does she do it the justice you had hoped?" The ranger asked not caring about the answer, but hoping to bury the previous topic from the girls mind. He had what he wanted and now he felt he was ready to go
  10. "I see" said Darksten, not really careing what the girl said "What is your favorite song from Carly?"
  11. ooc: loot distribution: Darksten: Vampire cape and murder on the dance floor Leofwein: amethyst, smoke bomb, 14 gold Bobby: the thanks a gratitude of his party
  12. "While you gents figure out what you want to do with your portion of the loot, I suggest we keep looking for any other pale beauties since this one isn't going to be talking any more." Darksten says, as he starts to follow the compass to the East
  13. Darksten flicks another splash of potion on Donna as he sees the end of the fight draw near Battle order: Bobby: Attack Wannabe from the back row Darksten: Potion on Donna from back row Leofwein: Lay there unresponsive
  14. "Fair enough..." Darksten says "...but don't let that kid run away, he has to learn from his mistake" With that Darksten chucks a grand potion at Donna Battle Order Booby: Attacks Wannabe from the front Leofwein: Attacks Wannabe from the back row Darksten: Uses Grand Potion on Donna from back row
  15. Haha, well don't I look stupid now... Thanks for the clarification everyone!
  16. According to the rules, only demons/dark enemies are immune to dark magic. Undead are a separate group as it shows them as separate under the diamond breakout. So dark spells would have no additional effect (plus or minus) on an undead from my interpretation, and thus they don't add any effect to the physical attack of the bow which means the attack power would still zero. Unless I am over thinking it like I said. Lol!
  17. I was more concerned about the undead being immune to physical attacks. But perhaps I am interpreting that wrong since I picture the spider string bow as still a physical attack that just happens to have some additional elemental power (like poison) verses using a spell/scroll which is pure elemental magic. The additional dark elemental power is negated in my mind since its power is derived from the physical attack that it is being delivered by. If the bow was imbued with a diamond I would consider that to be different as that is specifically powerful against undead. Perhaps I am just thinking too much about it though...
  18. Darksten shakes his head as the vampire swoons over the rogue. He smirks as he whispers to Bobby: "Perhaps she can tell you about the song as an engagement present..." With the vampire distracted, Darksten flicks another potion on her from the back Suggested battle order: Darksten: Potion on Donna from Back Bobby: Attack Donna from back Leofwein: Attack Wannabe from front
  19. "Bloody hell..." Darksten shouts, noting with irony that once again the rouge had scampered out of the way and left him to face the supposed vampire. He reaches for his crossbow out of instinct but quickly weighs his odds. It was unlikely that his bolt would do little damage. Instead he reaches for his plethora of potions and hurls one at the lunging female as he works to put a little distance between him and her. Suggested battle order: Darksten: potion on Donna from back Bobby: wannabe from back Leofwein: wannabe from front
  20. Awesome, thanks!
  21. Question: If undead are hurt by healing items, I assume a potion does 10 damage right? Likewise, would a health core be a one hit kill since they would heal to full health?
  22. "She does have pale skin and would wander the night, but she's not my type of beauty. Feel free to go chat her up though Bobby" Darksten says "Unless we think someone of a lighter completion will have more success..." Darksten finishes, glancing at Leofwein. Remembering his luck at the park, Darksten removes his compass to check if they were even looking at the right girl
  23. "Nope, but would be better than staring at each other for hours." Darksten says, adding under his breath "Though come to think of it, maybe it is best if we just stay here and let you practice your combat skills."
  24. "That makes sense. The only other pale person I see is thst fanatic and I wouldn't call him/her beautiful... not to mention it is before sundown. I am fine with just waiting" Darksten says as he moves to give himself a good view of the entrence way."Unless we think we cna make it to the market and back in time..."
  25. "We don't" Darksten grumbles "We just stand by the front door and effing wait for her to come to us" After waiting to see if the party comes up with a better plan, Darksten begins walking back towards the front doors hoping that the fans would be arriving for the concert soon so he didn't have to wait long
