  1. Darksten sees his bolt strike true and quickly attempts to repeat
  2. As the party rounds the corner towards the apple orchard, Darksten sees the gathering of bugbears standing before him. He feels the watchful eyes of the ethereal cats bearing into him from the limbs of the trees as the dryad vines flick about in a seductive manner from the shadows off to his right. As the party readies themselves for combat, he loads a bolt and aims it towards bugbear healer a from the back row
  3. As the battle ends, Darksten steps forward from the 'tactical' position he had taken after the scarecrow had jumped out at him. Gathering with the other party members he speaks up. "Well, glad that is over. Perhaps we move to sector 4 next? I am all for continuing to play fair." Eying the chicken leg on one of the fallen hens, he then remarks "I also wouldn't mind bulking up on that meat if you strong gentlemen won't mind"
  4. As the battle raged, Darksten reveled in use challenge that the moving birds were giving him. The were much more fun than the large hulking spiders he had had to face before. He quickly loaded another bolt and fired at Crow B from the back
  5. So just to clarify, if the build is for another holiday character (say Easter Bunny) it would still have to be based at the North Pole and not at the other realm of that character. (Aka: no land of misfit toys, or snowy April Valley, etc.) correct?
  6. Darksten laughs as he watches the scarecrow consume one of the crows. "Dumb thing should have left it to attack us" he thinks. With the threat of getting outflanked now eliminated, Darksten feels confident as he continues to attack the remaining scary crow from the back row Ooc: if an un targeted scary crow was consumed in the first move, would it still get a free hit? Given that the other crow was targeted, I am not sure we should have gotten that free hit. But fine either way.
  7. Darksten sees his opportunity as the birds circle over the party, and quickly unleashes a volley of bolts towards them. He tries to continue the momentum by launching another bolt towards Crow A from the back.
  8. Darksten is proud to see his adversary flee before him. The hen was of little use to them, and it was one less enemy for them to fightanyways. Suddenly though he was ambushed by one of the crows. Surprised he looked at the other members of the party who stood before him and wondered how the crow had gotten through. He quickly launches another attack from the back row toward Crow A Ooc: I might be missing something, but wouldn't Lind take the free hit instead of me? He shouldn't be hidden anymore. At the very least Grimwald should be first in the roster to take a hit.
  9. As his fellow party members dive for cover, or simply sit on the ground doing nothing, Darksten stands tall and aims his crossbow at the small enchanted canary. With controlled breathing he unleashes the bolt and watches without remorse as it penetrates with precision. It wasn't the first time his large weapon had wrecked something so small. Now the ranger shifted his gaze, trying to decide what to attack next. He settles on one of the hens clucking in the direction of the hidden rogue. He reloads and launches a bolt from the back row which he hopes will impact the Feral Hen (B) with the same deadly skill.
  10. Darksten sees his party lead aiming for the target he had selected for himself. He politely coughs to get the rogues attention. "Ahem, perhaps you might be better off using your more powerful weapons on a stronger foe? And not leave me with a target which could cause serious damage with their special against my low health... Just a thought"
  11. To be honest I am confused by this and the "depends on roll" for loot. Are they already determined or do they rotate? Either way, just have to duke it out....
  12. "Well then" Darksten says as he stumbles his way through the rows of corn with his team. He observes the foes which have formed out of the darkness "Might I suggest taking out that canary early on, seems he has an affection for reviving his friends? I might also be inclined to avoid those crows too as I think the scarecrow might be frantic enough to aide us in the battle..." With that Darksten aimes to launch a bolt from his crossbow towards the canary from the back row
  13. Darksten takes a moment to assess the situation, and his teams performance so far. "Well gents, perhaps we should take advantage of some 'easy' experience by adjusting to sector 3 next? I would also be up for continuing to play fair."
  14. The damn sheep was starting to bother Darksten. He was ready to move on and his old wounds were getting aggravated by the itchy wool. He quickly fired another bolt at black sheep B hoping to get it away from him
  15. Darksten switches his attack to Black Sheep B from the back row hoping to get some fresh meat and wool for his efforts Ooc: switching to B in case I get my shield, I can add some damage to the wolf.
  16. ooc: Noted thanks! So much for trying to be a nice guy! haha ooc: hahaha, my bad. Some how I read it as you were attacking the black sheep and I was attacking the lamb. Disregard plesae, it was a late night.... Darksten attacks Black Sheep A from the back
  17. "Mmm, lampchops." Darksten whispers as he prepares to launch a bolt at Black sheep B ooc:I suggest having me attacking the black sheep. I cannot be blinded, and since I battle from the back row, my damage would be halved if I get confused and attack one of you. Just my thoughts, and correct me if I am wrong. Also, no reason for both of us not to attack them. If Lind says otherwise, I will attack my initial target of silent lamb a
  18. ooc: correct me if I am wrong, but we can use challenges multiple times right? If that is the case, it would make sense to use them early on while the battles are "easy" IMO ooc: correct me if I am wrong, but we can use challenges multiple times right? If that is the case, it would make sense to use them early on while the battles are "easy" IMO Also, I should be getting a bone not a remedy
  19. "Well gents, if that was supposed to be easy, we are in for a long ride..." Darksten says to he companions "Shall we move on to location #2 and since it seems we have no need for them why don't we accept the challenge to play fair Also, I wouldn't mind a bone if you don't mind"
  20. Darksten finally sees his adversary fall, but is frustrated it is not by his bolts. He quickly switches targets to try and redeem his image. He launches another bolt at spider c from the back row hoping to continue the momentum. "Finally, we are almost done now!"
  21. Darksten sees his party falter and provides covering fire by firing another bolt at Spider A from the back row Ooc: if you keep the order as before and put Grimwald in front of me, I can absorb another free hit and save a potion
  22. ooc: Lind, I am all for suggestions since you are team lead. However you might want to consider that we have our own agedas. I wouldn't "schedule" us for anything. Just my two cents...
  23. Darksten grumbles as the mob seems to be overcoming the party. But he holds out hope and and fires another bolt at Spider A
  24. Darksten feels a bit of accomplishment as he finds his groove again battling the spiders. He quickly launches another bolt at Spider A from the back
  25. "Crap" Darksten says as the zombie gnaws on his arm. At least it looked like his efforts had distracted the mob from his partners long enough for them to take out the rat king. As the other party members shift targets, Darksten does the same. He fires a shot at Spider A from the back row Hoping his past experience with spiders would help.
