  6. Cloud City's got to be one of the tops for a lot of people.
  7. When it comes to studs, you have to find a balance between studlessness and bulky blockiness. In this case, tiling over would've made those steering vanes too thick and both there and everywhere else probably would've made it worse, even less smooth and more blocky in transitions in the sculpting, curving, and angling of parts. And if you have to have some studs, you don't want to leave just those studs such that they look like rivets or bumps. The one place that maybe more tiles could've been used is probably around the pack at the back, but I think it's fine.
  8. I don't think they work together here. They look too colorful, a little bit childish, and somewhat basic. (Like things built from the basic brick buckets.) If they were more muted colors — sand red, sand blue, dark red, dark blue — then maybe it would work in this setting. Otherwise I don't think the two of them work together in this setting.

  19. I think I remember noticing that when one of our members hosted a LEGO mafia game but on a non-LEGO forum...I forgot who it was. It was baseball-themed. The members there were newer to mafia as a whole, and there was a lot more roleplaying and decisions based on it. On EB, on the other hand, we've got players who've been playing it for a long time who introduce you to strategy by almost forcing you to use mafia strategy as soon as you start playing if you want to keep pace. (I prefer the strategic approach, but I'm sure you could predict that about me.)

  23. And we also didn't really know exactly what to expect from this game, so playing it and organizing it ourselves in terms of a mafia gave us a place to start at rather than just experimenting and then looking for scumtells.
