I saw Desolation of Smaug a couple days ago. Not much to say about it, actually — it was entirely what I was expecting based on what I'd seen from An Unexpected Journey, what I'd read about in online comments, and what I knew from the book. On another note, maybe it's old news since it's apparently been around since May, but I just found this that's pretty awesome.

There are and have been plenty of images of the studio model, (these, for example, although they're more recent than the set) so I'm sure TLG had access to some of those as well as any additional angles that I'm pretty sure Lucas Licensing provides.

Hurray, they've invented another new planet and we can definitely feel sympathy and care about it since they told us it's a major city even though we've never seen it before! Also, that piece of concept art reminds me of a mid-battle shot of Harnaidan during the Battle of Muunilist from the '03 series, just with a combination of Coruscanti and Alderaanian buildings instead of the Greek-inspired architecture.

If you take long enough drafting a post, the board starts to auto-save the content. Then if you leave the page without submitting the post, when you come back to the page, in the bottom-left corner of the editor, there's a line that says "View Auto Saved Content (timestamp)". You can click on that line to view and/or restore the last version of the post.
