I love the concept. The jagged cheese was a great idea, and the transitions from the engine block to the rest of the ship are perfect. I do think it looks a little unfinished, though. Compared to the back half, the front half with just stacks of plates looks a little messy...I'm not sure how to fix it short of reworking the whole area with no small amount of SNOTed slopes and greebles, though.

Heroica RPG - Quest #85: Visions of an Unblinking Terror

I attack the Right Wing from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -
I fail to see how this is any different than what can be discussed in Future Star Wars Sets. This is all about what you think we'll see in sets. Moving all posts to that thread... ...and done.

I really like the new engines. Very podracer-esque, which gives the impression that the ship has more power to carry and feed those fat guns that are now the only primary weaponry.

Speculation about what you think a set might be or what set you want doesn't belong here. This is a rumors and pictures topic, for discussion of things we know from rumors with sources. Discussion of sets you want to see or think we'll see belongs in Future Star Wars Sets. Thanks.

"Do you want me to attack the Right Wing since the Left Wing is Blinded this next Round, or do you want me to continue attacking the Left Wing so I don't risk triggering the Special?" -
Looks great! I suggest using a shallower depth of field, if you're able to. Blurring the background more will make the forced-perspective more realistic and partially mask the issue of walls that are too clean, although you'll of course lose some of the background detail.

While I have no exact figures, I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of sales is simply from kids who buy sets or parents who buy sets for kids. AFOLs and their reasons for purchases only make up a small portion of the market. There might be someone on EB who knows, but I have no idea. -

It's not the most popular, and it's also not the one that needs the most marketing attention right now. Even if it was the most popular theme (I'm all but certain that City/Town is consistently the most popular.), people are going to buy Star Wars sets anyways. The LEGO Movie is the new big theme that needs to be marketed. -

This looks fantastic. I really like the style of tables, bulky and rounded off. Very utilitarian; they fit Tatooine perfectly. And as always your SNOT work is very clean. On suggestion: I think it would look good with some grey tiles or grates or something in the floor to add some detail and contrast to any larger expanses of tan.

REVIEW: Lego Star Wars 75046: Courscant Police Gunship
Brickdoctor replied to Tom Jurassic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review. It looks like the problem was that you took the BBCode Photobucket gives you which was already properly formatted with link and image source, and then pasted that in between more IMG tags. I've fixed it. -
The story is hilarious, and the build is terrific! The sculpting that makes the Wampa look cute, and all the greebling, detailing, and weathering of the base is incredible. I especially love that side door with the criss-cross pattern of slope bricks.

Congratulations, and welcome, Bob!

I'd take out all but one hinge for each each piece of the wing, color that hinge light bley instead of black, and get rid of all the 2x2 and 1x2 black plates on the insides of the wings. (Use the tiles on the outside to hold the main plates of the wing together if you have to.) It won't be as sturdy, but it'll thin out the wing and I think it'll look better. (And coloring the remaining hinge grey instead of black will be more more accurate as well as giving the illusion that the remaining thick part is thinner.)
