Like I said, EB doesn't host files for its members. If you're going to write a review, you have to have an image-hosting site account anyways... -

Okay, can you upload the screenshot to a photo-hosting site such as flickr, Brickshelf, or Photobucket and then link to it in a post here? -

I've never seen that error before. Unless you post a screenshot, I really have no idea what you're doing. Why can't you post one? It's "PrtScrn" on Windows, which copies the image to your clipboard and then you can paste it into MS Paint or another photo editor; or Cmd+Shift+3 on Mac, which puts the screenshot on your desktop. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Brickdoctor replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We already have a topic for discussing your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets. We don't need multiple topics for discussing variations on that question; that'll just inevitably lead to spamming of ever-more slightly varied and slightly more precise versions of the question.Merging... ...and done. -
Huh. I agree, this is the part where I would definitely be sad if LEGO Star Wars ended: because TLG still consistently improves with the majority of their set releases, and even sets out of portions of the storyline of which I'm not a fan still have potential. I don't think any of us (at least those of us who are active SW fans) are seriously suggesting that we want the theme to end tomorrow. It's just interesting to consider how your LEGO experience would change if it did happen.

Interesting question. I'm in the same position as 4WD: I was young when LEGO Star Wars started, and LEGO got me into SW rather than the other way around. (I was a Town, Trains, and Arctic fan before the Droid Developer Kit got me hooked on Star Wars.) I don't think I would really miss new SW content through LEGO. Star Wars as whole has been a disappointment to me for the past few years. The TV show isn't the greatest, the storylines are often ridiculous, and all of that's trickling into the novels for continuity's sake. Both novels and comic books seem to be constantly trying to one-up the previous 'doomsday all-powerful fate of everything that's connected!!!' scenario. (Abeloth as the Mother is the particularly terrible example that springs to mind.) But that's kind of off-topic. The point is, I'm not really interested in seeing TLG make LEGO sets out of the new stuff coming out of SW canon nowadays. Considering that I prefer the older style of minifigs, and that TLG has covered the vast majority of the important OT characters and creatures, and that I can build whatever I want if I want to have a particular vehicle or scene, I can't say I would actually have that much cause for disappointment if LEGO Star Wars stopped. That being said, I'm sure I'd still be sad if it did stop, just because of what it is and how long it's been around, and because the sets almost always improve with each re-release, and seeing new LEGO Star Wars stuff is always still exciting even if I'm not interested in buying it. But I wouldn't be that disappointed, I wouldn't be wanting for anything more out of the theme, and I definitely wouldn't be angry about it. And considering how many FOLs either have grown up with LEGO Star Wars or have been brought back to LEGO by LEGO Star Wars, I would have no doubt in the ability of the LEGO Star Wars fan community to continue going strong.

[SoNE Ep. III] Snowball fight in sector E
Brickdoctor replied to MstrOfPppts's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I love your SNOT-intensive style of building. A lot of times I'll look at the way you did something and think, "That's exactly how I would've done that." And the inclusion of other members' figs is always something I like. I also particularly liked the way you did the Christmas tree: not too complicated, just some One Rings and some cherries, but quite elegant. One minor suggestion: the door kind of blends in to the hangar wall and floor. I think adding some grooved tracks along the floor where the door would slide would improve that.- 13 replies

Talk to the Star Wars Moderators and Regulators

Your rank already has the ability to post everything necessary for a review, except for a poll. I doubt it's an issue with the forum or the rank. Can you post a screenshot of what you're trying to do? -

That's not what I said. That's only half of what I said. I said that you were only provided with a small amount of attachment space, which increased as you ranked up. I also said that that was because EB is not intended as a file hosting site for its users, that you'd have to find another website to host your photos or files on, and that you should post all the content of a review directly into the post instead of attaching it as a document.I see no reason why a keyboard can be responsible for its user's ability to compose sentences. Besides, considering the fact that this post you've now posted has plenty of correct capitalization, you clearly are capable of doing that, so the lack of such in your previous posts is laziness. -

You'd already been discussing this here, so I'm not sure why you decided to post in a new topic. I've merged it into this one.I'm not sure I completely understand what you're saying. Using better English would help — proper capitalization and punctuation, trying to explain what's happening more descriptively, avoiding ambiguous pronouns, and so forth. (Especially if you're looking to write reviews.) We don't expect perfection, but we don't tolerate laziness. Now, based on what I gather from your post, it sounds like you tried to attach a document to a post and post that with no content in the post. You have to write something in the post; blank posts aren't very useful. You also have a size limit to your attachment space. That amount goes up as you post more and achieve higher ranks, but it still remains relatively small. EB is not intended to host files for its members; you need to find another website to host your photos, or whatever it is that you want to upload and include in your posts. Additionally, I don't think many people would read your review if you only provided it as an attachment. That's just too much clicking and waiting for it to download and open in another program. You should have all the content of your review in the post itself, just like the other reviews you see on EB. -
Wow. So realistically chaotic, yet so clean and refined, and so nicely packed into that base. Those big black consoles and the tubes running to them, especially; the command center looks like it's right out of the movie. I really like seeing the inclusion of other members' figs, too.

[SoNE free build] "Tracking a smuggler"
Brickdoctor replied to Nom Carver's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Really nice work on that Outrider! It looks like it would fit right in with TLG's current System sets. I'm not sure I like the use of seemingly random Technic bricks and colors on the hangar wall, but as an artistic choice it makes for a nice subtle bit of variation in the background that isn't too complicated as far as the parts it requires. I'd take those speakers out of the photo next time, though. -
Good improvement over your last freighter. The color scheme is a lot better, and the weathering looks more refined and less haphazard. The placement of the wing on this one kind of bugs me; it kind of looks tacked on because of how far back it is, how it connects right to the underside of the ship, and how it thins out where it connects to the hull. I'd move it a little forward and a little higher, and maybe add some struts connecting it to the hull.

I agree. So it might not be canon. It's well-designed and it definitely looks like it could be from the EU, which is not something that can be said of all fanon MOCs.
