We're not sure how many episodes there will be. Obviously we're heading towards the events of Jedi, and I don't want to stretch out the storyline just for the sake of adding more episodes, but there're still plenty of ideas to cover, so we'll see.

I disagree that a battle needs to have a point. Why can't there just be a quick and easy battle? It can break up any monotonous stretches of the quest and it does add a bit of realism in that not every battle you'd fight would realistically be that important, and not every battle you'd fight would involve an equally skilled enemy. Besides, I don't know about you, but I've invested enough time into my character's build that it's satisfying to occasionally be able to just dominate an opponent.

I was surprised to look back and see that Quest 17 only ran for four months. It seems like it took a lot longer. (Probably because I had the party spend four months fighting basically just one battle over and over again. )

This is why I never use RTEs. Most QMs with beginner parties won't use too many of the more complicated effects; the intent behind the more complex effects is to make things interesting for more advanced players. I'm sure you'll figure things out just fine.

Yeah, I generally try to limit the immunities my enemies have. I don't think I've every used an enemy that was Immune to Negative Effects, actually. Going with the high-Power, low-Defense style of enemy generally makes the battle more enjoyable for everyone, and I try not to do anything that would nullify the creative advantages of a player's carefully set up stats and equipment.

OoC: The university year is over and today is move-out day for me, so I may or may not be on EB for the rest of the day. That time hasn't come yet, and unlike roleplaying, procrastination is something I'm good at. The backstory for Docken was going to be stuff I did in GoH (Even if they aren't in the same universe.), plus the stuff from the first few months of the game (which I reserve the right to retcon ). I just never had the motivation to do anything with it.
