Need help to create egg shape
Brickdoctor replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
So you want to reverse-engineeer the egg shown? -
Too bad you're not in Quest 17. I would've allowed that if you described it in more detail.

Heroica RPG - Quest#14: The Family Recipe
Brickdoctor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
He'll have to spend a Turn restoring 10 HP, and that will just be taken away at the end of the same Round, and he'll have wasted a Potion and a Turn on which he could've attacked. -
Heroica RPG - Quest#14: The Family Recipe
Brickdoctor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I attack Foul Wyvern from the Back Row. Thormanil will deal more Damage than I, so heal him, Hoptet. After I'm Knocked Out, then you can decide whether the battle will last long enough to warrant use of a Phoenix Essence. -
I don't know. Just about everything you say doesn't makes sense, so I have no reason to believe your actions would make sense, either. But if both of you are Scum, then I imagine that your Scum teammates would rather have Ichirou around than you. Hey, at least I learn from my mistakes.
-
Wow, look, a statement that calls out someone else's mistake, causing them to get penalty votes and increasing the chances that Ichirou might not get lynched.
-
Yeah, that seems to make - wait: Wait, what? Since when was the Jester role inheritable by another player?

Okay, I'm going to actually try to make sense of this, because at least this time it's clear what Tamiko said, even if it's not clear what she meant. The possible scenarios are: Norio is Town, Tamiko is Scum - Norio probably wouldn't want to kill Tamiko, because he doesn't want to waste a lynch on her. He doesn't appear to have gotten a 'Scum' read on her right now. Norio is Scum, Tamiko is Scum - Norio might want to kill Tamiko, realizing that he could bus her and that she's not going to be helping the Scum any time soon. On the other hand, she could work well as a distraction to the Town. Norio is Town, Tamiko is Town - Norio probably wouldn't want to kill Tamiko, because he doesn't want to waste a lynch on her. He doesn't appear to have gotten a 'Scum' read on her right now. Norio is Scum, Tamiko is Town - Norio wouldn't want to kill Tamiko, because she's suspicious, so the Town might get rid of her, and because she doesn't help, so she's not a danger to the Scum. So, assuming that Tamiko has put some thought into this, the only reason that Tamiko would be dead if Norio is Scum is if Tamiko is Scum, too, and Norio wants to use this as a chance to establish trust. That doesn't make that much sense, considering the Scum are down one already, but it makes the most sense of the four possible scenarios. The only reason I don't want to vote for Tamiko is the fact that if she's telling the truth, lynching her would give her the satisfaction of winning even after her actions of Today. That being said, as has been said, there's no reason for a Jester to claim Jester. It's simple enough for a Jester to get himself lynched without roleclaiming. Claiming Jester is more likely to make someone not get lynched, so as a roleclaim it only benefits the Scum and other Independents. What does everyone else think? I Unvote: Ichirou (Tamamono) and I Vote: Tamiko (zakura).

Looks like an LED inserted into a 1x1 cone piece. Judging by the fantastic lighting employed in IMHOTEP Mafia, I'm guessing that that's Rufus' (Pandufus'?) work.

Lego CAD for rhinoceros 3d
Brickdoctor replied to rumpletump's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
LeoCAD can export its models in 3DS format, which I believe Rhino 3D can import. -
Forum skins -- Comments and Issues
Brickdoctor replied to Hive's topic in Forum Information and Help
Like I said in the Architecture Month topic, great work guys. Love the logo. Anyways, I found a minor problem. It doesn't bug me, but I thought I'd report it: If I go to a profile, the tabs next to 'About Me' ('Topics', 'Posts', and 'Gallery') have black text and a black background. The buttons are still there are clickable, but they appear invisible. -
Building round towers in LDD
Brickdoctor replied to interestedpen's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've always done this with a manual rotation on each brick. I started with a two brick-high segment of the tower, which, for a circle that matches up perfectly, has ten 1x3 bricks in each layer and uses a rotation of 18 degrees per brick. I manually rotated each 1x3. (make sure that when you click on it with the rotation tool, the point around which the brick is going to rotate is its attachment to the previous brick - if it isn't, keep clicking on the brick until it is) The tricky part comes at the end when you have to close the ring: Above is as far as you can get just by rotating the bricks. Remove the 1x3 that is first in the string, so that you can manually rotate in the last bricks of the ring. Notice that I've entered '18' into the field to the left of the little arrows in the secondary tool bar, and that the green arrows on the model are centered around the attachment point of the brick I want to rotate to the brick before it in the string. Because of collision with the first 1x1 round, this last brick especially needs to be rotated by manually entering a value into the field. If all has been done correctly, you should be able to then replace the first brick. This segment can then be Cloned over and over again, and they should be stackable. Hope that helps. By the way, I downloaded your file, and your rotation was off by one degree. You had rotated each brick by fourteen degrees. With twelve bricks per row, it takes twenty-four rotations to complete a circle. 360/24=15. It took a bit of scaffolding to coax the final brick into position, but with a rotation of fifteen degrees per brick, the circle matches up. I attached the LXF: circle part.lxf -
I think what Nobuo was saying is that Norio should defend himself against the accusations, not fight accusations with accusations. (which I think some of us would regard as something of a Scum Tell) Not sure if I can agree with either one, since the whole thing (or at least a good part of it) seems to be based on attitude, which I personally think in this case isn't that unusual (or maybe a couple books I've read called Gotham City Mafia and The Curse of IMHOTEP Mafia have caused me to become accustomed to the attitude of characters such as Norio), but I think that's what Nobuo is trying to say.
-
I think what Shizuko is trying to say is that Norio isn't fighting you because he believes you to be a Townie. I'm not sure how much sense that makes, since you're accusing Norio of being Scum right now, but I think that's what Shizuko is saying. I think I agree with you. I don't see why Tamiko would claim Jester. There's no sense in it. It's nothing new to act that way as Scum. I don't want to risk wasting a Day's lynch, but if we're probably going to end up lynching either an Independent or a Scum, it's not a bad move, and it's not as if we don't risk more when we lynch someone such as Ichirou who could actually be a helpful Townie. Unless, of course, Tamiko is Town, and she's being really, really unhelpful and selfish. Scum, vigilante, and SK (if there is one), if you're out there listening to me (and I know you are), could you please night kill Tamiko for us? Please and thank you.

Way to contradict yourself. In private, I said, And you instead said, To which I replied, And after that, you decided to say, It's clear to me that that was not the answer you wanted. You just wanted to look like you agree with me in public. Why? Because you're realizing that there's nothing you can do to make me forget about all the suspicious things you've done, and you want to appear to be aligned with an active Townie who's already brought up a case that ended in a Scum lynch? Or did you only understand what I was saying in public because I broke it up into bite-size chunks for you? You could try jumping into the dragon's mouth.

Sorry, I missed your reply where you asked for the admission: I suspected you for being a sheep and for jumping around. You said that you acted impulsively, and that obviously refers to jumping around on different people. You said that perhaps you were a sheep. You don't deny either. You are still a suspect. You have done nothing to help our effort to kill the Scum. (and if you have, I'm certainly not aware of it) Like it or not, I don't trust you, and, if it weren't for how Ichirou is acting, I would have nothing against voting for you.

What childhood names did you have for parts?
Brickdoctor replied to caperberry's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As a child I never really liked building with other people (competing for bricks and trying to prevent other kids from destroying my MOCs and my plans too all the fun away ), so I never really named them. Mentally, it was always, "I need this brick", and I'd have a mental picture of the brick, and I'd just think of it as "that brick". I do know that I always called slopes "ramps", though. -
The base is beautiful in its simplicity, and the wall details are perfect. Welcome to EB!

There was always a possibility that there was a Scum Role Cop. Yasu claimed Role Cop. Yasu was acting Scummy. It was a basic job of fitting those pieces together to arrive at the conclusion that Yasu was a Scum Role Cop.

Heroica RPG - Quest#14: The Family Recipe
Brickdoctor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I attack Foul Wyvern from the Back Row. -
Ah, you are correct. My mistake. Chainsaw Defense sounds cooler, though.
-
Of course you are. Last game, we played Scum together, and you told us that you read that it was good to act insulted when we were being lynched. And since you already told us that you didn't change your style...
-
For the record, my count agrees with that.
-
I agree. I wasn't that confident about voting for Ichirou, but then I read that statement...Really, Ichirou, you accused Chieko of being Scum only on the grounds that she isn't being vocal. That's really not much to go on. You don't break down her behavior, you don't point out certain things she said, and you just go and say that you're so sure she's Scum because she isn't as vocal. I can't say that I trust her, but that's not something I'm going to lynch her based on. To me, it looks like you are particularly desperate to shift attention away from yourself. Three is still a lot. This is Day Two. At best, there should be perhaps one person telling you their action. (if an Investigator found you Town last Night and thus can trust you with his role) One would make sense. Two might be understandable. Three is too many. I would actually prefer having you investigated, because of the power you might hold in knowing Night Actions. If you are Scum, the Scum already know all those actions, anyways. However, the point Kenta made about you possibly being the Godfather would make that course of action unreliable. This is the second time you've used a form of Chainsaw Defense. Yesterday, you accused me for being too vocal after it became clear that I was still going to try to lynch Yasu despite her role claim. Today, you accuse Chieko for not being vocal enough after a bandwagon starts against you. You could have presented either of those suspicions earlier in their respective Days. That you presented them when you did makes me think that you were desperate to turn attention to another suspect, to the point that you went and voted for someone based only on how vocal he or she had been in the very small sample of one or one and a half Days. I Vote: Ichirou (Tamamono).

If you are the Jester, congratulations. You've pretty much just guaranteed yourself a loss in this game.
