Heroica RPG - Quest #31: Lions and Lambs
Brickdoctor replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"We want a government that doesn't ignore us because we're Teuthisal, Mr. Philosopher. One that will build a decent plumbing system throughout the city so that our skin doesn't dry out so easily. One that isn't controlled by three emperors and their army of dragon riders." -

"It's not just Lions who're noticing. In case you haven't noticed, the rebellion has become prominent enough that one of the emperors has resorted to contacting Heroica for help. He clearly thinks that we're a major threat. You, my good hero, are nothing more than a tool for publicity." -

"Of course not. We believe that the Lions can become a major military power capable of challenging the Empire. We want them to notice us. The only reason they responded as they did is their fear of the Empire." -

Being careful to watch where I step, I search the crate in the corner and sniff the mug and bottle to see if they contain any liquid and try to determine what they hold or might have held. -

You see the Teuthisal roll his big eyes at you. "You'd have to be stupid to be a Teuthisal in Dastan and not join a rebellion against the Empire." -

You follow as a pair of Lion Pikemen lead you through the bodies to a rock, against which you see a wounded Teuthisal, one of the scouts, leaning. As you approach, he turns his head ever so slightly and speaks in a voice that sounds almost watery and is understandable by men, though he seems unable to clearly pronounce the harder sounds of 't's and 'd's. "What do you want?" -

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Brickdoctor replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's UCS and it's a starfighter, so I would think there would be a very good chance that it won't be. -
He says that he had them done by Chrome Block City, which is one of a few BL sellers who sell professionally chromed elements.

Jedi Temple Mafia - Sign Up Thread

Mara was created by Zahn for his Thrawn Trilogy and figures prominently in a number of his novels. She was one of the main EU protagonists until she was killed off in the Legacy of the Force series. She was a former Emperor's Hand who ended up marrying Luke. -
Wow. The different details and textures here are just incredible. I love the base, with the layers and the bits of dark red. Looks like this scene was pulled straight out of the Death Star II with bits of metal still hanging off. Plus the shaping of the window is terrific.

star wars sets (summer 2012) - are there any new elements included?
Brickdoctor replied to SNIPE's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They look like the final product, but they could always be changed before production, even if a drastic change isn't very common, and those pictures may not show new elements inside which are purely structural and aren't seen on the outside. -
Well, it's not the first time someone's done this, but that doesn't make this any less impressive. Sometimes the simplest techniques are the best. Nice work.

The shaping of the balcony is perfect. It looks so random and so organic. The only thing I don't really like is Dooku's hair. I never liked that piece. And I'm a little disappointed that this isn't all in dark tan or dark orange, but I guess even the collection of ACPin only goes so far.

Looking good, Masked and K-nut. I was the obvious newb Town Cop in Isla Paradisa, which I won because Kartoffel saved my MegaBloks on Night One. If it counts, I was a Villager who was converted by pure dumb luck to the winning Dark Ones team on the last Day of The Coming Darkness. I was the n00b sheep Town PGO in Baritones 3 and the n00b sheep Townie in Bloodbrick II, both of which I lost. I was the last surviving Scum of Gotham Mafia, which I lost, and the slightly newbish Scum Godfather in IMHOTEP Mafia, which I also lost. I was the vocal Townie who got a Scum lynched and then became unnecessarily cautious and was lynched in Yakuza Mafia. Available. I've been building up my body fat for the past three months so that I don't have to eat during mafia. Threepio. I'm the most like him in real life, complete with an annoying habit of correcting others' abuse of the English language. And you'd be hard-pressed to find a more fan-friendly Star Wars actor than Anthony Daniels. -

Isabella, you lead your knights in two attacks; you catch the Pongcanae by surprise the first time and kill a few of them, but they are ready for you the second time and you take out none. Skrall, you have your men regroup and attack again, and, with the crossbowmen providing a flanking bonus, you watch with satisfaction as they tear the rebel's formation to shreds. Alexandre, seeing the Pongcanae caught between the knights and the crossbowmen, you order your pikemen to charge, and they manage to drop a good number of the brutes before pulling back. "We have them outflanked! The battle continues..." In a way. I have 7K Fame right now, so once I get that second char slot, I'll farm the last 4K Fame and buy another Ammy. Until then, I guess you could say I'm rage quitting.
-
MegaBlokin' lag! There was a little bit of lag in the Castle, and there was no lag whatsoever until O1's ninja chasing phase. Ate two O1 shotguns and three ninjas stood on me when the lag cleared, and my Ammy broke.

QM Note:It doesn't matter which one you chase. If any of the rebels reaches the mountains, they get away with the weapons, not just the unarmed rebels. -
The wiki doesn't appear to have information on SB Damage for the new O1. Trying to hit him as often as you can is really all you can do.
