Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Conclusion
Brickdoctor replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I believe the role was first referenced during Bloodbrick I, but it didn't appear until The Forest: Day 6. -
Other GM's Note: Damage in the Arena is WP-only. Actually, you should've dealt 0 Damage. A Hit is WP times 1, so a base of 5 Damage. The weapon is ranged, so no decrease for Rows, but Leo has an SP: 5 shield, so 5-5=0 Damage.

Sorry. Some of them are just for setup. Sir Leonard and Admiral Thraune probably won't be seen again for the rest of the quest, and the players will spend a lot of time away from Sir Lyonel, Sir Leofard, and Lady Leofwena.

I've only done it once, but new O1 isn't as scary as I thought he would be. The dancing phase has fewer snowballs, so you can slip between them if you're paying attention to where the grenades are going. It definitely requires more concentration than the old one, though. Can't really comment on the ninjas, because I got lucky and O1 charged the group I was in, so the ninjas went after the other group and and I just slipped to the side and pumped shots into O1. I saw one phase, "I control your fate!" that had tons of snowballs, shotguns, and anti-spectator snowballs in it, and I didn't even get close to O1 in that phase. Didn't get to see the black planets phase. Got Def and DSphere from that run, so I'm happy. Since he's giving out T7/T4 items, now, congrats to Nihilus for his promotion to Officer.

Heroica RPG - Quest #31: Lions and Lambs

You see the Chimaera rocking slowly in the harbor. Making your way down to the vessel, you see that a few sailors are still onboard, loading the last of the cargo. You also see a figure in a dark red cape and a brown hat overseeing the loading of cannon onto the ship, and you see that an elf in a white robe is standing next to him, providing the soft glow of light which emanates from the diamond atop his staff. "Heroes! Great to see you again! Master Regulus, Sir Alexandre, Miss Isabella, and I assume the big fella is Skrall." "Good evening." "Master Regulus, you'll be pleased to note that the Chimaera is fully armed with the latest in gunpowder weaponry. Eighteen brand new cannon, and she can out-maneuver just about any pirate craft on the seven seas. You're in good hands with Admiral Thraune, and lucky, too. The rest of the troops have to make the trip on ten of our older galleys and fifteen of our minimally-armed carracks." "I hear that you're only a party of four, without a Cleric, and that in part that is because there aren't many Clerics in Eubric. I convinced Sir Leonard that you would need one, so he has decided on a compromise: your party would get a healer, but it would have to be a healer already respected by the Lions - myself." "And, naturally, I decided to tag along." Luke and Count Lewis have joined the party! The Engineer's Job Trait is Mechanical Expertise, which allows the Engineer to repair or alter various machinery encountered. The next morning, you board the Chimaera. After an uneventful trip, you see the coasts of Dastan in the distance. You watch as Admiral Thraune guides the fleet into an opening in the cliffs, which leads to a massive cavern. You can see that the underground harbor is large enough to contain all twenty-six Lion ships with ease, and is so large that you cannot see the walls or ceiling. As you pull alongside the eastern wall, you can see docks jutting out every two hundred feet or so, upon which you spot men rushing to throw ropes to the arriving ships. You see the sailors tie up the sails and catch the ropes, and you see the ships being towed to docks in the windless cavern. You notice the shine of gold on the dock the Chimaera arrives at, which proves to be reflecting off of a crown. You see that Emperor Alandri has dispatched his guards to assist with tying down the ship, and that he is flanked only by a hulking minotaur. You see that the emperor himself is quite young, though he manages to look powerful with his short black cane and in his dark green robes over light armor. "..." "Lions and heroes! Welcome to Dastan." -
The old dance didn't require circling. You just move a couple tiles left and right or up and down, depending on where you were standing. The new dance apparently is combined with the silent phase, so grenades have been added to it - I'm not sure how to play that phase, to be honest.

"Yes, let's head to the Winking Gargoyle." -
Build 123 is out, now, with the new Oyrx Ninjas. I'm not too excited. Nothing really new that benefits me. O1 used to be challengingly fun with my unmaxed Necro, and now I'm just scared of him.

I'm working on them; I'm working on them! (my entries for NPCs, that is)

"Doctors Fahad and Falish Jiivni are staying at the Inn of the Winking Gargoyle, if that's what you're asking." -
I looked it up on Wookieepedia and combined the numbers of certain batteries to get a number of guns that would be realistic for the size ship I wanted to have. No, it was a happy coincidence.

"I know much of Dastan is reportedly mountainous and arid. I'm really not sure about any of the towns or individuals, as we haven't been in contact with Dastan for centuries. The other two emperors are Emperor Roland Esmeraldo and Emperor Severus Septrine." "We want the rebels removed from Dastan, dead or alive. If you can capture them, great, but don't fret if you have to kill them. Unless there is a spy who has alerted the rebels, you should have the element of surprise. Emperor Alandri has taken the utmost precaution to keep our plan private, and he does know that you will be coming and will be receiving you at his private docks. I can give you his letter to prove that you are expected, if you would like. I have no need of it, and it does mention your impending arrival and bears the emperor's seal." -
I don't know if anyone got the more subtle reference: eighteen is the combined number of the primary, heavy, and octuple barbette turbolasers on an Imperial II.

It's this one, I believe. -
And a table-tipper-over-er and a cow poisoner, and we saw the shuriken-throwing Crusader murdered in the Hall, and we saw a procession of orcs that had nothing to do with us walk through a nearby forest, and we almost murdered all of them, too.

You see Sir Leonard dismiss the two knights, and hear him promise to let them know of your decision later. "Very well. Sir Leofard will command the small force protecting the emperor, while Sir Lyonel will act as a subordinate and advisor to Sir Leofard. I'll reassign a force of crossbowmen from the main force with instructions to kill either knight if it becomes evident that they have betrayed us. "I don't know if you already figured it out or if someone told you, but I suspect that one of them is a spy. The crossbowmen will at least slightly lessen my worry about that, but I do hope that the reassignment doesn't affect your effectiveness in battle." You watch Sir Leonard scribble some orders on a piece of parchment and open the door. You see him hand the piece to a pikeman before beckoning to another figure to enter. "This is Admiral Mathias Thraune. He was formerly an artist on Uland who supported our settling here. He officially joined our navy nearly a year ago, and has since proven himself a tactical genius. You'll be traveling to Dastan aboard Admiral Thraune's new flagship. The eighteen-gun brig Chimaera is the first of our fleet built from the keel up for use with cannon. The rest of the force will be sailing on our older unarmed carracks and galleys. "I've been told that we are ready to depart. Are there any further questions? Remember that you will not be able to contact me until you return from Dastan." -
It's not a normal equip, so it should. Its real strength is in quests with movement systems, anyways, so players don't lose that much if they equip a different artifact instead in other quests.

"I suppose I could do that. It'd diminish the strength of your own force, though." QM Note: Leofard is the stern knight with the longsword. Leonard is the leader of the Lions with the dark red cape who was in Bric'Lin in Q4 and in the conclusion of Q17. Lawrence was the commander of Bric'Bay Fort in Q17 and hasn't appeared in this quest. -

"They'll listen to the sword." "Ah, an excellent question. Emperor Alandri obviously is aware of the threat that Sir Loren represents and realizes that he can't counter it alone, or he would not have contacted us asking for assistance. The rebels' leaders were formerly Lions, and I can easily make the argument that I understand them better than the emperor or any of his advisors do. All I'll have to do is gently remind him of the danger. "These emperors are all the same: paranoid, distrustful of their advisors, constantly fearful of death, and unhealthily attached to their possessions. Being a newcomer to the court and understanding better than any of the other advisors something the emperor knows is a real threat, I'll be able to have the emperor doing as I command." -

"Good? I'm very good with the sword." "Why am I not surprised that you don't realize what Sir Alexandre meant by that?" "Because you overthink things." "It was a rhetorical question." "The former won't work. Sir Lyonel would try to persuade the emperor to make him commander of Sir Leofard, and Sir Leofard would try to rally the troops to name him commander of Sir Lyonel. "The latter would make Sir Leofard seem to be the commander. Is that your decision, to make Sir Leofard the commander? What does your party leader say about that?" -
