Skrall, deciding to mark Humanoid enemies, you fire on the charging butcher at point-black range, and you watch with satisfaction as the bolt goes right through his chest and flies out of his back, leaving him to topple over into the dirt. Alexandre and Isabella, you team up against the dual swordsman. Isabella, you Miss, but manage to distract the Teuthisal long enough for Alexandre to slash at his arm. Count Lewis, you dash forwards and slam the crossbowman's arm upwards, causing his shot to fly off harmlessly while you stab him in the side with your spatha. Luke, all the dust being thrown up gets into your eyes, and you can't concentrate long enough to heal Count Lewis. "Miss Isabella, your invisibility seems to have worn off. "Sirs, we have Teuthisal being steadily driven back to the west, but Pongcanae reinforcements are approaching quickly. You'd best finish this group off so you can lead our forces. 2. It can always be justified or explained to make sense (as much as something can in a fantasy RPG) by saying that the summon derives its power from the magic user, and the magic user is Encouraged, so...
  3. I can't be on then, so the mule thing will work better. Nine DSPheres and a Magus will be 3 Def. 1 Spd discount for you. Which ones? Renewing is 1 Spd, DWand is free, DSorc is 1 Spd, Ancient is 3 Def, Illu is free, Master is 1 Spd, Moon is 3 Def, and Elder is 8 Def.
  4. I didn't recognize you with the new rank and avatar. :-P

  5. I've almost got the pots needed for 7/8! I'm going to need about ten Def more, so if there's something any of you want to buy with pots... Here's my Muledump: With the exception of Astral, EPrejudice, one of the Elders, and one of the ETaps, pretty much all items are for sale. Only Mana Pots are for sale; I'm keeping the other types. In particular, I need Vit. I'll buy at 1:1, 3:4, or 4:5 Vit:Def, or at 1:1 Vit:Mana.
  6. I try to open the door. "If it's locked, Miss Islanti, could you please pick the lock?"
  7. QM Note:Fine with me. Marking both would be kind of useless considering how often those types appear, anyways.
  8. "Master Skovgaard, could you heal Lord Boomingham, please?" Once I see that that has been done, I lead the party back to the door marked "1". This time, I knock as loudly as I possible can and raise my voice. "Doctor Jiivni? Are you in there?"
  9. I'm a Star Wars fan, and I'm going to say you should go with the Fire Brigade. Maybe it's just because I do lots of MOCs, but the Death Star has always seemed rather simplistic to me. Yes, it's big, and it has lots of play features and minifigs, but the building techniques as a whole aren't that advanced and I don't think it looks that good without the outer skin. Other Star Wars fans seem to rave about it, though.
  10. At least you got to 20. Going to try a new class?
  11. Welcome back, Hasenklein! And already maxing, too. And congratulations to Costy, who was promoted to Officer yesterday.
  12. Results of Round One of the Battle in the Training Fields: Rebel Teuthisal Crossbowman - Free Hit on >Count Lewis Knyghton (10/2=5 Damage) Rebel Teuthisal Dual-Swordsman - Free Hit on >Skrall (15/2=7 Damage) Rebel Teuthisal Butcher - Free Hit on Alexandre le Chevalier (15-7=8 Damage) Rebel Teuthisal Swordsman - Free Hit on >Luke (10/2=5 Damage) >Count Lewis Knyghton vs. Rebel Teuthisal Crossbowman - Miss >Skrall vs. Rebel Teuthisal Dual-Swordsman - Marking the Favored Alexandre le Chevalier vs. Rebel Teuthisal Butcher - Critical Hit (6*2+9=21 Damage) >Luke heals Count Lewis Knyghton - No Healing >Arthur Justus Regulus VII vs. Rebel Teuthisal Swordsman - Damage (10/2-1=4 Damage) Isabella del Toboso vs. Rebel Teuthisal Crossbowman - Hit (6+7=13 Damage) Your first battle in Dastan begins. The four Teuthisal rush you from all sides, surprising some and dealing Damage before pulling back to regroup and engage. Count Lewis, your short sword doesn't give you the range needed to touch the crossbowman, who continues to back away, and you Miss. Skrall you take the time to decide whether or not you want to favor this enemy type. Alexandre, you charge in and thrust your piercing sword straight through the butcher's light leather armor and into his side. Luke, distracted by all the sudden action, you fail to heal Count Lewis. Arthur, the swordsman is faster than you are, and he closes the gap between you before you can get a spell off, slashing at you before diving back out of the way of your spell. Isabella, comfortably invisible, you stab the crossbowman in the arm before he knows what's happening. "Sirs, we're seeing multiple rebel peasants emerging all around the fields, but our troops are holding them off. We highly suspect that they came here to steal weapons to arm more rebels. "The battle continues." 13. Awesome. Thanks again, Hinck. I played the very obvious newb Town Cop in Isla Paradisa, and won because Kartoffel saved my MegaBloks. I played the n00b sheep Town PGO in Baritones 3 and a similarly n00bish sheep Townie in Bloodbrick II. Lost both. I played the Scum Framer and Bus Driver and was the last surviving Scum in Gotham Mafia, which I lost. I was the losing, unimaginative, and lackluster Scum Godfather in IMHOTEP Mafia. I was an unnecessarily cautious - but vocal and helpful - and losing Townie in Yakuza Family. None that I know of. Nancy the Psychiatrist Snake Charmer. 'Nuf said. EDIT: Oh, wait, claims that worked? Well, since I don't know what went on behind the scenes, I don't think I can really judge anyone else's claims. Of my own, I claimed Cop when I was the Framer in Gotham Mafia; the plan I devised was to tell Kiel that I got a Scum reading on him when the host publicly revealed that he was Town. Then I was going to say that I thought I wanted another Cop to target the same player as I to find out whether I was Random, Paranoid, or Insane, frame the player instead, tell Kiel that I got 'Town' knowing that the other Cop would get 'Scum', and try to get the target lynched. Didn't really work because of the way Kiel and def had everyone isolated in private (nice job there), but I did get in on a night-kill immunity intended for Kiel and a Town Cop, so that was nice.
  14. QM Note:Because you thought a Mon Cal head looked like a chicken leg.
  15. QM Note:Free Hits do take Row into account, and because I'm such a nice QM, ( ) I've assume that those doing nothing are in the Back Row unless specifically stated otherwise.
  16. If I don't max a stat, it'll be MP. I like having high HP, and I'm going to put an Ammy on him, which only provides +20 HP. I do plan to have multiple char slots for farming. (and Fame farming, perhaps, if I break my Ammy and I'm too cowardly to take out the maxed Necro without one )Right now, my hoarding has resulted in nearly 175 Def's worth of pure stat pots. (just finished buying all the Life I anticipate needing this morning, in fact) I'm probably never going to use up all those pots on my T9/T4 farming chars. I'll probably stop maxing with a reserver of 20 Def left over in case my non-maxed farmers die, and then the hope is that my maxed char earns enough to pay for the farming chars, not for itself. (I'm predicting that the fun will pay for that part )
  17. QM Note:Oh, I didn't know that that was what you were asking about. Yes, any Free Hits will skip her.
  18. I approach the man. "Excuse me, we're looking for a pair of Lucustoid doctors, both named Jiivni. Have you seen them?"
  19. QM Note:No, but in this case, they're the same thing. The enemy would still have to be able to target her (see her) in order to deal Damage. While Invisible, she can only take Damage from AoE attacks directed at another player. (if she rolls Special Damage, the enemy will still perform any actions described in the Special that don't involve her, so the two swordsmen would still get their defensive bonuses for the next Round)
  20. Bad day for me so far. First, I died in the Castle because all the Priests wouldn't heal me and the only really good player decided to rush, so I had to try to kill the Insect Minion Boss with my unmaxed, half-HP Necro. Didn't work too well. Then I started rolling, and I got a really bad roll, so I suicided...forgetting to take my equips off. There goes a T8/T3 Necro set to stupidity. And no sooner did I get a good roll than I get one-hit killed by a ninja at O1. Time to go back to farming for a while. Gotta get that last ~20 Def to 8/8 a Necro.
  21. I approach the first door and knock rather loudly on it. "Doctor Jiivni?"
  22. QM Note:Yes, they are. Pacifist causes the Damage of all attacks to be calculated with WP only. (as if this was an Arena battle)
