  1. I have a bad feeling about this...
  2. You have my scythe! I'm in as well.
  3. I'm curious and don't want to crawl through sixty-plus quests (I'm lazy. ), I'll ask first: Do we know what the luckiest and unluckiest Rounds ever run in Heroica are, purely in terms of amounts of each die result? (Disregarding whatever risk was involved or lasting statistical effects, so two Shields in a Round by Shamans facing Undead would still be considered luckier than what the last hero standing - Nur, I believe - did in the mirror battle in the school.) I know Sandy mentioned in a PM a Round in the Test Quest where only Shields and Critical Hits were rolled, but that's all I know.
  4. I want to see all nine heroes on Quest 66 be Cleric Advanced Classes.
  5. In regards to the frontpage, the purpose of EB's frontpage is not to blog MOCs. There are other announcements - contests, new set pictures, reviews, press releases, etc. - which take precedence and which usually have an amount of time during which they are kept at the top of the frontpage and nothing else is frontpaged. MOCs are frontpaged only when there is an excellent MOC and there is no other announcement that needs to be frontpaged and there is no other announcement that is being kept at the top of the frontpage at the time. That being said, since Regulators don't have frontpaging powers, I don't know how often Erdy or Stash look to frontpage a Star Wars MOC as compared to mods and admins in other EB forums.
  6. OoC: Wow, huge difference. "Okay, everyone can repeat. We'll heal Master Carvenhall next Round if he needs it; we have plenty of actions to do it with."
  7. OoC: Okay, got it. Thanks for the clarification. Continue as if I never posted, Flare. I think everyone can repeat. I attempt to attack the Tygurah twice from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. OoC: Oh, but then, Pie, that means that in the last Round, Benji would still have been able to target Rattlesnake B with his second Turn.
  8. OoC: That depends on how you interpret the wording of the special, "The target can only attack the rattlesnake with close-ranged weapons." It could mean that the hero can only attack the rattlesnake and do so only with melee weapons, or it could mean that the hero can only use melee weapons if he chooses to attack that rattlesnake. Logically it could go either way; the hero could be lacking the freedom of movement to fire a ranged weapon at any enemy, or the hero could be unable to maneuver a ranged weapon to fire from so close at the one rattlesnake but still be able to fire on another enemy. Pie? Either way, you would only be able to attack once; you have to use the first Turn to break the Stun.
  9. You could still attack twice instead of singing. (and if you roll Shield twice, then I assume that after the second roll, you switch songs and only the effects of the second song affect the battle)
  10. Not everyone.
  11. "All right, I've got the Tygurah twice, Master Carvenhall has Rattlesnakes A and B. Master Emorith, Master Nihai, Master Unth'or, each of you attack a Mountain Goat twice. "Being Hastened, being Stunned will be okay since we'll still each get a Turn next Round if one of you rolls Rampage. However, we should act in the Order of myself, myself, Master Carvenhall, Master Carvenhall, Master Emorith, Master Nihai, Master Unth'or, Master Nihai, Master Unth'or, Master Emorith. That will decrease the chances of Rampage being rolled before we can eliminate the Free Hits and allow Master Emorith the chance to get in a Magic Vortex last in the Order." I attack the Tygurah twice from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
  12. I have armor that prevents me from becoming Fragile.
  13. Isn't there a scroll that does something similar? Either way, make a consumable that grants Reinforced so I can sell my soul to buy a lifetime's supply.
  14. Okay, thanks. I do see the three Dark Red plates would still cost more than the one Light Bley plate on BL.
  15. "Master Nihai has one, Master Unth'or has one and you, Master Carvenhall, have four."
  16. Good point. I guess that is where the minifig craze factor comes in. Nowadays even when builders build bigger or smaller, it seems that they're just fixing the accuracy of a minifig-scale model. (But I still don't think builders need to turn to other scales to find models to build; they just need to get past the assumption that TLG's new and improved sets are better than what they could build from scratch.)Oh, and, (I hope you don't mind that I used your picture, cavegod. It fit perfectly with the post. I'll remove it if you're not okay with that.)
  17. "We have six Meads, none of which are in my possession, unfortunately. But enough that you can afford to use yours if no one else gives you one."
  18. I agree, and I'm sure that the majority of the experienced and dedicated MOCers will agree with that, too. We know that we can build whatever we want, so we don't really care if TLG releases something that we're working on, even if we do like to see TLG stepping up their game. I think the problem is that the newer fans are seeing these better quality sets from TLG and assuming or getting the impression that there's little or no need to build MOCs.
  19. Sometimes it seems like all of Heroica is trying to prevent Guts from getting the fourth Mythril Shard. There's finally a quest that would give him one guaranteed, and it doesn't accept Rogues.
  20. OoC: I think that looks right. Another party member should probably look it over before we move on, though.
  21. Yeah, the flex tubing or pneumatic tubing with the clips seems to be the best way to do that to me, too. If you can anchor it in multiple places, though, it should be fairly stable. Both flex tubing and pneumatic tubing are rubbery enough that they can flex with the vibrations (To reduce the movement of the ring, I mean, not make the ring flop all over.) and the clips can grab on to them well, and I think you should be able to anchor it in at least four places.
  22. It seems like this is obvious enough that someone must have tried it, but: I keep hearing people say how expensive the Dark Red 6x14 plate is, looks like around $15-$20 USD on BL. Is there any reason (Structural? Aesthetic?) that that can't be substituted with a 2x6 plate, a 4x6 plate, and a 6x8 plate? The two smaller ones in Dark Red are less than a dollar each while the 6x8 is just a little more than a dollar. (Assuming you don't want to have every single piece be an exact match, of course.)
  23. Well, it depends. Because for me, as an MOCer, Star Wars sets are in large part about the minifigs, because I can get all the pieces by themselves and build whatever I want. So I really don't care how accurate or good-looking the set itself is when I buy it; I'm looking at the minifigs and the value in pieces I'm getting for my money.
  24. Agreed. Where MOCs are concerned, quality is always better than quantity. But I guess the problem with that is because builders who know what they are doing/what they want to do/what they can do take a long time perfecting a creation, which leads other members to believe that there isn't actually any building being done. And on that note, and in response to cavegod, perhaps some more WIP threads are what we need. I know I'm guilty of doing this, too: wanting to surprise and/or awe everyone by suddenly unveiling the perfect creation. But if you're stuck or if you're doing something big, there are plenty of examples in this forum of the discussing and interest generated by a WIP thread for a big project. (like the big motorized Turbotank that's almost been completed) Something to consider; maybe that will generate more interest in MOCing.
  25. Happy birthday, CopMike.
