  1. Probably because I hosted a couple quests with elves, and I tend to give my weapons names like that.
  2. I think someone did something like that with the Belville rabbit... I forget who.
  3. In the past couple of years, I believe FBTB had the info about a week or so before the sale.
  4. I got as far as the part where you can 'feed your pet' to increase its power. Then I went, "What is Realm turning into? " Seriously, in my mind, that mechanic in no way fits in with what the concept of Realm is, and it just seems like another way for Kabam to sell stuff that gives a gameplay advantage. If they really want to make pets useful, there was once a suggestion that pets could go grab higher SB bags and drop them at your feet, for those times when a blue, cyan or white bag drops in the middle of a mob of enemies. That fits in with the concept of Realm's game mechanics: a permadeath MMO shooter where the goal is to shoot stuff to get loot. Feeding food to pets... not so much. That sounds more like something out of a life simulation game than a shooter. Besides, we already have animals that can follow us around, attack enemies, heal us, and be bought in the Nexus. They're called Drake Eggs.
  5. "Master Carvenhall can take the last Direwolf while it's Stunned. I'll attack the Electriphant, Master Unth'or, see if you can assassinate Slyph B. Both Master Nihai and Master Emorith, if one of the enemies is still Stunned, attack it, otherwise, attack Slyph A." I attack the Electriphant from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
  6. "Master Unth'or, switch to Direwolf A since it's Stunned; that'll protect you since you've already lost some Health. Master Carvenhall, switch to Direwolf C to Poison it. That leaves Direwolf B for you, Master Nihai. Master Emorith, heal the Electriphant and heal Master Unth'or." I attack Slyph A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
  7. OoC: Don't know about this particular party. During Quest 14 I know there was one day when Sandy ran one Round around noon my time, and in about an hour came back and we all already had our actions in. (so two Rounds run within an hour with all actions posted in-between)
  8. OoC: That was Flare's suggestion for your second turn.
  9. OoC: Oh, Pie, I think you increased my GP by 30 instead of my Gold. Should be 46 Gold and 112 GP. Not that I mind the increased GP instead.
  10. That's funny because when the game first started, the Magic Compass was pretty much the most valuable item in the Marketplace, and then when heroes could first afford them, QMs were crazily annoyed by them and were talking about how they would prevent them from being used effectively. Now they're just another ability that players are forgetting about. On that note, here's an interesting question: I know we QMs often don't provide enough opportunity to use them, but how many of the players, when facing a problem that can't be solved with violence, first check to see if their Job Traits can be used? Because I know I very rarely think of using Animal Talk, and I usually don't even remember that I can use Diplomacy.
  11. I know there used to be a lot of players with Ranger as a base class... but now that you mention it, I can't think of many active players with Advanced Ranger Classes who were originally Rangers. Am I missing something obvious?
  12. "No, Master Emorith, don't worry about healing the Cerberus. I can take its Free Hit easily. You can use your second turn to either heal one of us or to heal the Slyph."
  13. "I'll get one of the Slyphs. Master Unth'or can take the last Direwolf. Master Emorith, heal the Elecriphant." I attack Slyph A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
  14. Amulet of the Terra Chiman Sailor - Upon command, summons a Terra Chiman ship, allowing the party to move at double speed over water in quests with movement mechanics.
  15. "Thank you very much, Master Nihai." I accept the Gold.
  16. "The boots are worth 80 Gold, and I've already gotten loot worth more than that, so I think I've already gotten a decent share of the loot. But if you want to keep it fair for this battle, the two Smelling Salts are worth 50 Gold, so I'd be very happy with something around 25 Gold."
  17. Between his own quest and the Unlimited Quest, Pie should get a medal for willingness to autoroll many Rounds, and often.
  18. "While I would obviously like to have the Fleece, there are others more deserving of it than I - Master Unth'or definitely deserves the second Fleece after assassinating those Aepyornises, and he hasn't exactly gotten a lot of Gold in this run. "As for the sandals, Master Nihai is the only one with an open artifact slot; he might as well have them if only for now. "
  19. They did once target enemies, but that was changed to prevent easy Free Hit blocking. (since you can't roll Damage or Special Damage while casting a Scroll) Sort of like how some of us will now have a hero heal a particularly dangerous enemy to block the Free Hit while the other enemies are dealt with, except that in the case of Scrolls, it was really unbalanced because the hero could use a negative effect Scroll. (instead of the healing which doesn't do anything to harm the (non-Undead) enemy targeted)
  20. You can't use the Water Bomb and attack. Using the Smelling Salts uses up your (first) Turn, and then they give you another Turn. You can't use a Water Bomb and attack during only that one remaining Turn. Additionally, you can't target someone with a bomb, so you don't throw the Water Bomb at the Mercenary, you just throw it.
  21. I love it whenever madoka posts in this thread.
  22. Back in my day, we fought Level 5 enemies for bosses without those fancy status effects, and we liked it!
  23. There's the problem.
  24. OoC: Oh, Pie, if I was Counterstriking from the Front Row last Round, shouldn't I have done the full 29 Damage? Flare, the Hippogriff's going to be dead in a Round or two anyways, and it's Special is more harmful to most of us than that of the Mountain Goat. Free Hits are not a problem for us right now, so we don't need to focus on the enemies with lower HP to take them out. We can just all attack the one Mountain Goat A while the other two are Counterstruck to death.
