  1. OoC: Oh, looks like everyone already has in their inventory the consumables they need. Didn't think that. I use a Smelling Salts. OoC: And after posades posts, Pie, could we get an update on what our stats look like before we go back to the battle?
  2. I think part of the problem that I'm seeing a lot lately is that it's becoming harder to convince members that LEGO sets aren't really that accurate. You take the fact that TLG has really stepped up their game, and the fact that eventually most MOCers want to take a break and build in another theme*, and the fact that most people first discovering the online LEGO community are fans of set or minifig collecting and not of building, and all those factors combined leads to a general assumption that collecting a bunch of sets or minifigs is more rewarding that MOCing. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular nor can I really single out any members; that's just the overall sense I get reading the discussion in this forum lately. *This is the case with me. I'm by no means satisfied with the sets' accuracy and there are a bunch of things I want to build for Star Wars, but my building time and pieces are limited, and I've been building a lot of Historic/Heroica lately. Not because I'm disinterested in Star Wars but because I'm interested in Castle, too. Actually, at least in my case, it's my trying to make sure the blog keeps up a very high standard of MOCs that get blogged.
  3. There're a bunch of players who have Animal Talk as a job trait, so I don't think it would be a huge advantage for you. (not sure what "Big Hunt" is, though)
  4. OoC: Same here. "Okay, so right now, it looks like we have the following effect-granting consumables: Nostrums: 6 Mulled Wine: 1 Venom: 18 Smelling Salts" 12 Deadly Venom: 4 Mead: 6 Jinxy Juice: 1 "Which means that we can afford to use one Nostrum, thirteen Venoms, seven Smelling Salts and one Mead on this battle, while still having enough consumables to buff everyone and Jinx the Dragon - if we can - in the Threshold Guardian battle. "Master Emorith is our healer; he should use the Nostrum. Master Carvenhall, Master Nihai and Master Unth'or should use Venoms; I'll already have the Quiver of Poisoning and Master Emorith can't use physical attacks. All of us should use a Smelling Salts. "I'm not sure who should use the Mead. I'm leaning towards Master Unth'or; he can multiply his Damage even more that way. Sound good?"
  5. On one hand, the footage we've seen of Battlefront III looked pretty awesome. On the other hand, Lucasfilm seemed all over the place in the last few years, doing TCW, then starting the other TV series, then stopping the other TV series, then doing the OR game, then failing at making money with the OR game, then announcing a couple video games and not seeming to make much progress, then doing something regarding another TV series... and supposedly doing Indy 5 the whole time... I admit that I don't really keep up with what Lucasarts does, but all this canceling seems like a regroup and focus effort, and I'm not sure that that's an entirely bad idea. Yes, I know that Lucasarts makes some really good games, and I want Battlefront III as much as everyone else. But maybe with some more focus on one thing (Episode VII), instead of getting a bunch of releases all over the timeline, we can get a single effort in the form of a multimedia project. Those have usually been pretty successful. (including Shadows of the Empire, Republic Commando, The Force Unleashed) This isn't exactly exciting news, and I must say that while I like the regroup and focus, I'm not a fan of completely shutting down Lucasarts, but I'm still in the "Disney can't do any worse than Lucas already was" camp. And the fact that I'm an OT fan is probably a factor in that, too.
  6. It's not Guffington 2, right? I need to get back for that.
  7. "Actually, the Dread Hat isn't going to be helping me that much; why don't you give me the Quiver of Poisoning?"
  8. "Yes, I was." I hand Benji my Cobweb Cowl, equipping my Dread Hat in its place.
  9. "I wouldn't be overly concerned with the Electro-Gear. It's one use would I believe would be protection from the Tygurah's Special, and I can take on the Tygurah without risk of any Damage already."
  10. Congratulations! As for the pets, I'll be completely honest: When I started out on this month-long break, I really wanted to play Realm for a couple weeks, and I decided not to since I knew I needed the break. Then I heard about the pets and all the other changes Kabam has made... and I honestly am not getting that desire to play the game anymore. It's been longer than a month now since I last played, and I'm not going to go so far as to declare myself inactive, but it seems to me that the game has ceased to be the "go out and shoot 'em up with your friends" game that I found so simply fun and addictive in the first place. Kabam's added too many different items and ways to get them. The whole original concept of Realm was that you had just four equips and eight stats with which to slaughter the same enemies over and over and over, and you could do it with other players anytime anywhere. Now the game is more about who can grind the most to get the latest greatest item the fastest.
  11. Oh, it was that guy. Thanks.
  12. Actually, didn't George Takei voice a character in one of the earlier The Clone Wars episodes? I remember reading something about his being the first major Star Trek actor to do something for Star Wars... can't remember or find where.
  13. "Actually, it would be better for me to give you the Cobweb Cowl so you can attack a snake, and I can take the Tygurah with no risk of Damage."
  14. Sort of like a mystery game. (in the regular Mafia forum) Nice concept, Etzel. (No, I don't care about the effects on the player. That's [probably] just roleplaying now. Bah, roleplaying! )
  15. I think it should be okay as long as discussion concerns the decisions of TLG, and not those of the Turkish Cultural Association. Discussion of what and why the TCA or "Furious Muslim critics" should be doing would be crossing the line over into the political and religious topics that we do not allow on EB.And for reference, the Site Guidelines state:
  16. "How do you guys want to do this? I suggest that Master Unth'or Remedy Master Nihai, Master Nihai attack a Mountain Goat, and Master Carvenhall take the Tygurah. We'd have to revive Master Emorith next Round. Otherwise we can afford to use a Smoke Bomb and regroup."
  17. Other GM's Note: Yeah, Masked, while casting a Scroll, a hero can't roll Damage or Special Damage. (or class's equivalent)
  18. Already being discussed here. TLG is reportedly said to have agreed to stop making the Palace in 2014... when it would have been retired anyways. (and technically, by now the production run is usually already over and they're selling the sets they have stocked up in their warehouses) Really, if TLG is indeed "stopping production in 2014", they're not actually going to do anything differently from what they normally would have done with this set and its availability.
  19. I equip my Cobweb Cowl in place of my Dread Hat from the Back Row.
  20. Just making sure since the exact wording doesn't mention "Instant-KO". Thanks!
  21. It could be considered Instant-KO at the end of 3 Rounds, since even if a hero has full HP, he'll still get Knocked Out at that time.
  22. Sandy (or Pie, if you know), regarding the Rattlesnake's "Constrict" Special (in the Fields), does Knocking Out the hero in 3 Rounds unless defeated first count as Instant-KO since it doesn't matter how much HP the hero has, or does it not count since it takes place over 3 Rounds?
