Core Rule Change Log 2 August 2013: Added a line clarifying that customized minifigs are fine as sig-figs, but everything else should be purist. -Brickdoctor 5 August 2013: There is a limit of four free builds per player per episode. (This count resets to '4' after each episode concludes. Unused 'allowed free build opportunities' do not carry over or stack after the count is reset.) However, if you wish to build more free builds than allowed, but receive no XP for them, for the purposes of character progression and storytelling, then that would be fine. You get to decide which four free builds are the ones that are judged, but you only get one chance when you first post a free build to state whether or not it should be judged, so choose carefully! Note: Free builds posted before this rule was added will not count against a player's number of allowed free builds. -Brickdoctor 11 August 2013: The planet of an active episode is open for free builds from both factions, until the episode ends, at which point control of the planet will be awarded to the winning faction. -Brickdoctor 25 August 2013: Optional: Bob De Quatre has written and released a signature generator, which you can find here, and it will allow you to input your character's stats and return the BBCode that you can copy and paste into your EB signature editor. -Brickdoctor 6 March 2015: Players with 100 XP or more are allowed to have a secondary character that can feature in their builds. The original character isn't required to feature in the builds, as long as one of the two is in them. The secondary character should be in the same faction, but can have a different function. - BEAVeR 31 March 2015: For players who make it to the second stage of scoring, the sum of their scores will be divided by two and a half instead of two. This means that the maximum amount of XP for an episode is 20 (instead of 25). - BEAVeR 6 June 2015: Modified the rules to reflect that all SoNE related builds should be placed in the Nar Eurbrikka sub-forum. - MKJoshA 25 July 2015: At the end of an episode, a faction now only gets one point per builder instead of two, in order to lessen the importance of numbers. - BEAVeR 1 December 2015: Depending on which planet a person builds on, the number of XP points can range from 3-5XP. - MKJoshA -

It was insanely fun to play with the pacing and the types of powers we had and the integration of knowledge of LEGO (the 'What is wrong with this set?' problems), and the ending was hilarious. (Though I'm sure I'm biased because I'm the one who ended up winning out of pure dumb luck.) -

I think TLG would prefer that you not point anyone to Confidential images at all. You can always PM myself or another staff member if you aren't sure if information you have is okay to post. I don't think it would be wrong to just describe what you saw in the images, for example. (But don't take that as an EB ruling on the subject, because I'm not entirely sure.)

I laugh because this reminds me of how The Coming Darkness was introduced, 'Not mafia, not mystery, but a combination', but I know that you probably won't be able to pull off the same thing that def did in hosting that game. (But if you do, that game was awesome.) -
That looks fantastic! I like the addition of color and a control panel to that black thing with the cone in the foreground on the left, too.

Actually, assuming that all the boxes appear at the same scale, the box for that set is probably about as tall as a $10 set is wide (The box I have near me at the moment in the size I'm thinking of is the Mirkwood Spider set.), and that's smaller than the standard square box for that size range. (Boxes in that size near me at the moment are the TIE Bomber set and the Uruk Army set.) This is probably a reasonable standard size of box for this size set.

I agree, I think it has a lot of empty space in that baseplate. I think some more buildings, some raised walkways and platforms, and some tiling and greebling would be a big improvement.

You realize that while you can't dig with a Pickaxe, you can use a Pickaxe to break things, which means that you could break up the ground with the Pickaxe, and you'd just need something to move the loose dirt out of the hole. -
Those random white shapes turned out really nicely, and I see something new every time I look a the greebles under the platform. Excellent use of the palisade bricks for texture in the tan door, and — whether it was intentional or not — I also like the reference to A New Hope with the grey door slowly rising up and showing Stormie boots. It's an interesting choice to have the white elements of Cloud City architecture in a room that is a hangar, and I think you did well with it. I see what you mean about all the squares, though... maybe try some arches above the doorway, or for a big change, how about taking the entire white wall and angling it slightly so it isn't parallel to the front edge of the vignette? And for the base, I like using a SNOTed dark bley base with rounded corners. Works for all themes; I've used it for Pirates and Historica/Castle in addition to Star Wars.
