  1. Wow, that's great - good job!
  2. Very nice! But you should give us more photos!
  3. I like it. Looks great with the wizard's workshop and the back wall. I second that.
  4. Great job! It seems size does matter after all...
  5. Hail, friends! As title - do you have any pics of the Eldorado Fortress and the Imperial Trading Post side by side or any way combined?
  6. Yeah, it does sound interesting. But being sort of new to EB, I have no idea what you are talking about - could you please develop? Are we supposed to talk age/theme-style or something like that? Have avatars and signatures that match our choice?
  7. What Mr. Lego_Bildur said.
  8. I like your ideas. They remind me of the old Crusaders-Lions-Black Falcons of old, with similar impulse sets.
  9. Hail all! I recently started reading Prince Valiant. It's brilliant. And it's got everything I love about castles, knights, chivalry and adenture in general (I'll call that 'swashbuckling adventure' so not to get any confusion with the 1930s Indiana Jones-like Adventures). Then I remembered all the cool swashbuckling movies I watched, like The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Black Shield of Fallworth and even "newer" films like Kevin Costner's Prince of Thieves. Which got me thinking - all those are "old" stuff. We haven't got many contemporary movies and comic books and strips... Pop culture is not helping Lego Castle enthusiasts! Pirate fans got Pirates of the Caribbean for years in a roll... But I guess things will get better soon. There's a new HBO TV series based on George R.R. Martin A Game of Thrones coming out. Not to mention the A Song of Ice and Fire series in and on itself (AGoT is the first in the series) and the many awesome Bernard Cornwell books. But I'd like to get new classic Middle Ages movies, TV series and the like: and more knights, armors, swords, archers, castles, adventure! Wha about you? Ever tried A Song of Ice and Fire? Prince Valiant? Whats your favourite swashbuckling/Castle movie? Book?
  10. That-is-AMAZING! Congrats!
  11. Nice to know, thank you!
  12. That's awesome! Nice to know we have new blood in the Castle! Keep your son bricking - and don't yoou forget to brick yourself!
  13. That looks really cool. And a lot like Lego. Sorry for my ignorance, but is this Oxford toy Lego compatible?
  14. You were faster then me. I just came here to correct that but... Ok, I love it!
  15. Hail all! I was just wondering - how big is your usual harbour? Be it for your castles, pirates, towns or whatever theme you love. As this is so general a question, I thought it would be better to have it in General Discussion instead of all around the forums. I'm a conformist!!
  16. I loved it!
  17. 'Artifex' means 'artificer', 'craftsman', 'artist'. It is also the name of an entity that is 'the shaper of worlds' (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&defl=en&q=define:artifex&sa=X&ei=LDs2TJrdLcOOjAf56aWOBA&ved=0CBUQkAE). I took the name from na old NPC (Non-Player Character) of mine in a(n) (Advanced, then) Dungeons and Dragons campaign. He was a drow (dark elf) very, very skilled with the sword and the perfect killer. His art? Swordfighting. He gave my players many nightmares till he finnaly dying in the very last game session, seven years after that campaign began - and fighting alongside good. I was always fond of the name (and of the character), so I just use it in most forums I register in.
  18. Wow! I love it! when I was a kid, I used to fantasyze I was in Jacques Costeau team of explorers. I even built some Lego ships with helicopters and small boats. Your MOC looks just fantastic! I'm a conformist!!
  19. The work of Marco Anselmi (medieval_total_lego here in EB) summs up pretty well - and in a much clearer way - everything I've been trying to say about modular castles: "sets" that are like the old Lego Castle sets, where you can "attach" one to the other; "sets" that you can open/take off the roof to look at the inside; "sets" that you can separate the upper floors from the lower ones like in the modular buildings like the Green Grocer or Grand Emporium... Just everything that's in my mind about modular castles. Check it out: http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/12851 & http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=mrhyde84 Also, Marco's interiors are just great, not to mention the colors he uses in his MOCS; don't forget to check floor colors!
  20. Good work there - and in all the other MOCs too! I really like the consistency of your MOC line. I'm curious about how your Castle is going to look. Tell me one thing: those walls... How tall are they and what's the size of the "corridors" above them? Thanks in advance.
  21. Oh, that's terrible! It didn't happen to me, though.
  22. Wow - way to go, man! I'm a conformist!!
