  1. Hey, nice display! Looks a bit overcrowded, but it's a school, after all. I like how all the buldings look like when placed together - it gives the impression of large, robust castle, just like the real life Hogwarts. Welcome to the community, and keep the photos coming!
  2. Great technique! Works beautifully. Thanks for the instructions and video!
  3. I have no words. I'm without words. These are just... WOW!
  4. I feel you own this thread a couple of pictures, guys! Great! Great site! Thanks for link, already in my favorites! Those are great! Thank you all for sharing, guys! Keep them coming!
  5. Thanks so much for this review! My love for Classic Town is coming back full strenght, and this review just adds to it! Thanks a lot!
  6. I love this type of set. Especially this "modern adventures" ones form the 90s. Thanks for the review!
  7. Well, lightningtiger's WIP is certainly what I'm talking about!
  8. I came out of my Dark Ages last year, and I'm mainly on Castle/Kingdoms, at least for the moment, but I always keep an eye - or two - on Town (and all the other themes, TBQH ). We now have modular building and stuff, and all those great, beautiful Creator houses. Lots of great building techniques, colors, styles, etc., etc., etc. But my real question is: does anyone still builds Classic Town style? I mean Classic Town style like in the 80's: 6374 Holiday Home 6388 Holiday Home with Campervan 6384 Police Station 6385 Fire House-I Simple designs, simple techniques, etc. - anyone still building this way? This style?
  9. Cute little car! I'd love to drive one of those!
  10. So I came back to Brazil last september, after living in London for most of the year. I came out of my Dark Age there, but I sort of faced a post-London depression and semi-Dark Age when I got back here. But those days are gone, and I've been looking for Lego/Kingdoms wherever I go in different cities all over the state. Thing is - there are no Kingdoms sets anywhere! The most I could get was an Outpost Attack and a Jester impulse, because all Dragon Knight Wizards (as well as everything else) was gone - from one day to the next in the very same (big) toy shop (in a big city). Asking around, people say that the Christmas and post-Christmas Lego/Kingdoms sales were just great, and everything sold out. I have to say I'm quite impressed, because Lego is just TOO expensive here in Brazil (about three times as much in USD - no kidding). Is it the same where you live? Has Kingdoms sold out for good? I know the stores around here are getting more Kingdoms sets in early March, but for February they are just gone. I'm happy that Lego is selling so well down here, even for unfair prices as we have in Brazil. But I've been wondering if Lego is selling that well in other places too. Can you please brief me up?
  11. Nice MOC! Very cute, I like it!

  15. Thanks a lot! Always good to see new pictures!
  16. I love A Song of Ice and Fire! I guess I've read it about 6 or 7 times, now. Your vignettes are just great, I guess they capture each moment just perfectly! PS: Your English is fine!
  17. I love it. Great colors. And I LOVE "retro" style! Keep the pics coming, and give us more info on your kid's town! Brick on, man!
  18. That's got to be the best introduction anyone has ever made in this forum!
  19. I've wished for that for so looong! Great to see those!
  20. The old Lego castles had 1, 2 or more baseplates - I'm talking the big castles, not fortress as Black Falcons' as impressive as they may be. But it seems those days are gone. Castles are now built over simple plates, however big or small they may be. But what do you prefer? I was always in love with big baseplates, but I got to admit the simple plates are more dynamic, to say the least. And modular (although structures from different Kingdom sets are not made to be grouped in one single structure as the old Crusaders/Lion Knights were).
  21. Wow! Congratz on the great job! This is a hell of an amazing rendition!
  22. You guys think these new sets were thought to look well with the MMV? Any hopes Lego will be releasing a new über-set like the MMV for Kingdoms? (The MMV sort of was for Castle, isn't it?)
  23. WOW! Amazing job! Great MOCs! More on the AT-AT...?
