I was a bit on the fence about the yellow windows, but I've made up my mind: it brings out the second floor in a way that no other frame color would, I think. Maybe red could add to the overall scheme, but I think yellow fits perfectly.

I really like it. The design looks great, and the color scheme works well together - it's just beautiful. I like the "frame" of the windows -- the darker color around them -- and the way the white brings it all out so well. Not sure about the lion heads, although if you are not having other buildings with lion heads around, I'd say it works. Although two to each side may work a little better. I'm curious about the white arcs... Can you please post a pic of that detail? All in all, I guess your building is just great. I love it!

As title. Everybody seems to love the Castle factions of old (Crusaders, Black Falcons, Forestmen and -- why not? -- Royal Knights, Black Knights, etc), so, in your opinion, why should or shouldn't TLG bring those factions back and incorporate them into Kingdoms? I know there's a historical componente here, that some of these old factions mixed and became another and so on and so forth... Maybe the Lion Knights -- and the Dragons too -- are those old factions after a couple of hundreds of years... But how would you feel and what would you say if Lego was to bring those factions back, with "updated" prints and modern designs? I, for one, would love to see my childhood friends back. I like the Lion Knights and the Dragon Knights a lot, but compared to the Crusaders, the first Lion Knights, the Black Falcons and the Forestmen, they'll always come second... I know that's nostalgia talking, but I just can't help it. I always loved the color scheme of those old factions, and the sets were great too. Not that I don't like today's Lion and Dragon sets, mind you. But to think of a new Black Falcons' Fortress with a renewd force of Black Falcons... AND battlepacks of these factions for army building... *deep sigh* What about you?

Ebay or Bricklink for, like, a GAZILLION bucks, whatever currency they are selling it... I've been looking for it for some time now...

Heay guys! I was reading some reviews and wondering -- has anyone got AND combined all Lego Hogwarts Castle sets released so far? And if so, can you please add some pics to your post or link to a webpage with pics of it? Oh, one last thing that just came to my mind -- is there a comparison between the multiple Harry Potter sets? For example, a pictoral/video comparison of all Hagrid's huts, or Hogwarts Castles or Hogwarts Expresses? Thanks in advance!

So get it out of your head and put into bricks, man! Come on, go into a store, like, right now, and buy the first set you put your eyes on! I left Lego for reasons similar to yours, and some years ago I came back to collecting toys. My GIJoe collection is getting bigger and bigger, and from last year on I'm also collecting Lego -- and I'm not leaving it! My parents found it a little awkward at first, and to be quiet honest they still do, but I pay my on bills, so I can have whatever hobby I feel like. Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks, too. Place is great, and the community is even better.

They are going straight to my Kingdom, as civilians or most probably as a third faction. Not sure what I'll do with the flesh heads.

My mom was turned the "wrong way" and so was I. She, my sister and I were all brought to this world out of c-sections, so it's not really a big deal... You can be cool about that. But I'll add you three to my prayers, man. Good luck!

6080 King's Castle and 6086 Black Knight's Castle, for sure. 6090 is cool, too, although I never liked the Royal Knights. 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress is the quintessential castle/fortress, I guess. I really like the new 7946 King's Castle. If I had to pick one, I guess I'd get 6080. And 6086. And 6074... ;) I have a brief analysis in this thread.

Hail, guys! I was going through some of the pics of the new POTC sets. They look just great.* Actually, they look much better than... Kingdoms, so to say. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE the Kingdoms line, and in my opinion it's one of the best Castle/Kingdoms line Lego has ever delivered us. That said, I have to say that while looking at the POTC sets, I got the impression they look just... Well, just better than Kingdoms. As if their color or plastic or paint is better. I don't know if that's just me or if some of you share that feeling. I don't think that the sets are better than the Kingdoms ones, just that some of them LOOK better. That, or maybe the neighbor's grass just seems greener...
