It looked so natural I almost missed it! Great effect there with the flex tube!

A two knights set - I mean, MOUNTED knights, the ones WITH HORSES (heard that, TLG?) - would be great. AND hawk visors, if you'd be so kind. Thank yoou.

I loved your design. I'm more of a Playmobil person when it comes to the Western theme, but I have to say your MOC looks just great. I'd have to go back and take a look at a couple of official Lego Western sets, but I'm pretty sure your design is better than most - if not all - Western sets TLG ever put out. Kudos to you.

I can't really express how positively overwhelmed I am, sorry. So I'll just say WOW!!! And thank you for the awesome review. Thanks!

Amazing work! Congratz! -
So Brazil won its first game. I'm not sure if the Portugal x Ivory Coast is a surprise or if I just didn't analize it enough.

Review: 852922 Dragon Knight's Battle Pack
Artifex replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think it's a great army builder set. I openned mine, and the figures look good to display on your MOCs. I regret there is only one armor in each BP (and only in the Dragon BP) and that the Lions didn't get any armored figure. I regret there are no horses, too; I believe at least one horse/pack would suffice. Too many regrets, one might say, but still a good display and army builder. -
I LOLed.

Thanks a lot. I love that the builder has a step-by-step album with comments. That really helps!

Hail! I'm now working on my first MOC since I came back to Lego 2 weeks ago. I want to build a large castle, and I'm going one step at a time. I want four towers, one for each corner (this first design is going to be very simple). But thing is: I want all towers to be functional, not just esthetic. I've been playing a bit with different designs, and the one from the new king's Castle seems nit to my eyes. So I'm using the same 3 diagonal wall pieces (sorry for lack of better metalanguage). The way I'm building it, there's a 2-stud space between each wall piece which gets a brick wall. I'm trying to make it fit in the green semi-round plate that comes with the King's Castle. Where a fourth diagonal wall piece would go is open, because that's how the soldiers get from the courtyard to the tower. On top of the first structure goes a second one, very similar to the first. Then a third one - I want each tower to be at least 3 "wall pieces" high. Everything so far is right but for one thing: I can't really figure out how to make the tower interior functional. There could be some weapons ok, maybe a table, but I've been thinking about a circular stair (I got the idea from the White Tower in the Tower of London: each tower is a big set of stairs leading onwards and downwards). I've checked the net for some ideas on how to make circular stairs, and the Harry Potter piece seems nice, but I odn't know how much space it takes - would it fit in a 4x4 interior? And also, how do you usually build your towers? Are they there just for the sake of it, or do they get any function (excluding the obvious top of the tower)? And what about their interiors? If you have any links, pics or whatever on the matter, please post it.

Sorry - but that's exactly it!

Hail! Back in the Classic Castle Era, there were no Hawk Visors. They were introduced a bit further, and were totally awesome, becoming an immediate success! So now that we are having this Classic Castle revamp of sorts, do you think there should be no hawk visors? I, for one, would love to have knights in armor wearing hawk visors - both Lions and Dragon Knights! TLG should really keep those, IMHO. Oh, and add a couple of horses, too - what is a knight with no horse, after all?

England 1x1 USA? 'Guess that US goal confirms everything I've been saying about the Cup ball: not the best out there... Or maybe the goalkeeper just failed. Badly.

Have you decided on your Lions and Dragon Knights navy?
Artifex replied to Artifex's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I've been thinking about the very same thing: the Dragons should get a river fortress with a small harbour. -
I got them at the Lego store in Bluewater (the Shopping Centre). Hamleys has the whole line (but for the Battle Packs), but I advise you to compare prices - most sets are (sometimes much) more expensive in Hamleys than in the Lego store. The Outpost Attack is only 1p more expensive, though :)

Hail! I was going through some MOCs and expos pics over th einternet, and it just crossed my mind: Have you decided on your Lions and Dragon Knights navy? Will they have one? I'm not sure about the previous Castle/Kingdom lines, but the classic one use to have boats (one or two, not really sure on this). I think it would be so cool if Lego produced a couple of boats for this line... *crossing fingers*

Wow! Amazing scene! 'Love your Executor! And I do love your introduction text: Lucas Books should give you a chance!

Batman is more popular than Spider-Man? o.O

Very cool! It even feels he's in the desert, ready to take a look at the troops!

I did get some pink in the Prison Tower Rescue barding, but everything else is just great. Also, I bought all sets in the past two weeks, and I got lots of extra parts and pieces (including plumes).

Hail! I was going through Tesco's Lego section and I found this: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-8355.aspx

Thanks for all the feedback, folks! Here you go: 08457 080010 This is the exact order of the numbers the guy at the Lego store gave it to me. Maybe the second part comes first. I haven't tried yet.

It seemed as if the ball is not helping either: it seems lighter and it gives this strange effect while flying. I like Mexico and I wanted it to win. I guess the draw was deserved, in the end.
