Pic Request: 7094 & 7946 Side by Side

Having all flags from one castle to one side and the ones of the other castle to the other side was a nice touch -
So we've seen that the new 7946 King's Castle uses walls different then those we were used to (check this thread out). But do they go well together? has any of you tried mixing and matching the old walls with the new ones? How was it? Did you like? Or perhaps you didn't like it? Thoughts on this? Pictures?

That's exactly how I got my bowman/"Robin Hood" minifig. A real nice guy from Hamleys did the search for me.

I totally agree. All current ideas came from somewhere, and it's productive to see the development of things, the big picture. Wanna hear one related fun thing? I'm reading this book on Apple and Steve Jobs, and yesterday I heard all these complaints about him and the new iPhone... The presentation and how everything in the *new* iPhone is already common to phones that are now 3-4 years old. But Job's marketing is not so different from what he and Apple did 30 years ago. Did you guys see the iPad ad om TV? It's the very same structure, with a new face. And it's the same with Lego: the very same basic ideas, but with new, cool and cool-looking designs! I love it (Lego; I never had any Apple gadget :()!

BRILLIANT! This one house! Thanks! Thanks a lot!!! Thanks a lot! I was editting the original post with my searches and I didn't see your post - thanks a lot, friend!

This was my very first Lego house... It's so good to se pictures of it! I love its design, color scheme and homely feel... If only sets like Green Grocer, Café Corner and the Creator sets would bring some inside furniture for a more lively feeling... Oh, well! Nice to see home again. Thanks so much for this review!

Thanks so much for this review! This was my very first Lego back in the day! It's so... I odn't even have words to say how much I loved finding a review on one of my favorite Legos ever! Thanks so much for this review!

Hail all! My very first Lego was a small blue tow truck. It came with a driver/repairman. I also had this beautiful two-store house with a car, tree, mailbox and a minifig couple. Thing is: I can't just find their sets number, and I've never seen any of these two sets in the internet! 'Legoland' comes to my mind, but I can't just find the tow truck and the house... The truck in the pic in this link is quite akin to the one I had (but mine was smaller and blue instead of white): http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=1506_1&v=z. Ok, I just found the truck: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=1967_2&v=z. It's the one down bellow, on the right. There's even a review of it right here on EB: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...mode=linearplus I still can't seem to find the house, but it was similar to this one: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=6349_1&v=z If you have any clues or links, pleaselet me know, ok?

The Goonies 25th anniversary TODAY - any homages?
Artifex replied to Artifex's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Ooops...! Rookie mistake, I'm sorry... -
Hmm... Thanks. You did help. I just read the reviews on those sets you mentioned. The Market Street is not available anymore and must be a pain to get one. I'll se as for the other ones. The creator houses are very nice indeed. Great parts.

Unfortunately, I have none... And you? Pirates, a pirate ship, a young group of kids, a trap-filled dungeon... It gives some ideas, doesn't it? Post your pics, links and homages HERE!

The Chinese say that "It's better to be a fool for 5 min than a full your whole life" - so, not to be a fool for any minute more, could someone please explain me what is a promo? Do we get them in stores? Or online only? Sorry for my ignorance

I bet the new Castle faction will be a Forestmen revamp. There will be a Hunter's Lodge still in 2010 (a civilian building that will spin off the whole Forestmen subtheme in 2011). The Forestmen may even be Elves, a long fan-demanded fantasy race. Oh well. The Imperials (Pirates theme, not the Star Wars ones) will get more buildings, probably a new Eldorado Fortress - and a new ship. As for the other sets, I'm not sure. I believe we'll have more buildings in the Green Grocer and Café Corner line, although I have no idea what these will be. I'll just cross my fingers now. Bye.

Awesome review! Thank you very much for it! Although I know this set is meant for AFOL, I do miss some interior furniture... :(
-
Thanks a lot for this fabulous review! Although I think the finished building is absolutely gorgeous, I'm not sure I like the interiors that much: they look rather poor, and not like someone's home at all :(

Hail all! People, I'm looking for Lego sets that really pay off - that are real value for money - as for building Medieval/Tudor/Castle/Kingdom/Pirates-style. I recently bought the Medieval Village Market and I believe it's got a good set of bricks, parts and pieces you can use for building Medieval/Tudor/Castle/Kingdom-style houses, farms, buildings and the like (but maybe not that good for Pirates- although I have yet to check on that). And from what I've seen, it's well worth the price for all those parts. So my question is: What other sets (any size) would you recommend that are real value for money - i.e., you get a good or very good set of bricks, parts and pieces fo a reasonable amount of money? (please mind the Castle/Pirates themes) Also, would you say the Green Grocer, the Fire Brigade, the Grand Emporium and the Cafe Corner have good sets of bricks, parts and pieces to build Castle/Pirates stuff (castles, towers, houses, etc)? Thanks in advance! EDIT: Minor spelling and grammar
-
Hail all! I'm looking for some Medieval/Tudor-style Lego house models, "templates" and examples - i.e., something already built that I can take a look at or plans, manuals and the like. I'm also interested in the very same things for the Pirates theme. If you have any pics, links or anything along those lines, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

DONE! Keep the Pirates, lower the prices, get rid of China Quality and I was over the fence as to print/stickers.
