Every set takes up a slot of shelf space, instruction & packaging time & resources, factory storage space, unique part storage, designer time... things I can't think of right now... TLG aren't unlimited in how many products they can offer at once. All these brickheads may well be blocking something else you'd prefer. They're definitely blocking something. (Could be a Galidor remake though )

I thought that they were changing the time of day for this round but it ended up being the same ol' 3am garbage again. Was really tired and slept through my alarm. Good thing I woke up with a start when it turned off at 3:30. Castle sets hadn't sold out yet so I got 1 each at that price. Seemed strange to have to type in my address at the checkout, and quite risky at that time of night, but it looks like I put the correct details in.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Artanis I replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Futuron torso print didn't need to change for any of the re-makes, and all the new ones are incompatible with the old ones. Fine for people that don't have any old ones, but useless for the people it's supposed to give nostalgia to. It could've been anything else instead and the kids would still be happy. If they were going to do a melted one they could at least have done it to red, blue, yellow or black. -

[FINISHED] Maintenance of Eurobricks on 20th January

One thing I noticed, is that there used to be a "back to top" link at the bottom of the activity feed. New site doesn't have one, so now I have to scroll all the way back up. This site is working faster & smoother than before. -

I didn't notice it this time. It was definitely noticeable the previous 2 days. It didn't bother me really, unlike the light grey background behind the white text for quoted posts, and the dark blue titles on dark grey background in the activity feed! I'm sure that will get sorted out eventually. -
Meanwhile in Australia, because the first 2 waves sold so poorly, (and I got multiples with deep discount) stock of the 3rd wave was almost non-existent. Retailers effectively said 'we don't want much of that, thanks' and it sold out in days, before I even saw the movie.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Artanis I replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Not a bad minifig or anything, but it's inferior to the original, and doesn't really need to exist. It adds little other than 'here's a slightly different one' - which can already easily be achieved with leg swaps or epaulettes etc. -
The assymetry of the front wheel always bothered me on that trike set. One side open, the other closed.

I was going to get 2 of the siege set, but $350 AUD is a lot considering how much of it isn't my thing. 9 falcon knights in 1 set is a lot, I definitely don't want double that on top of what I already have. The seaside castle I was going to get 1 and rebrand it for a different faction that doesn't have a castle, but the modularity made the number 2 look fairly appealing. Until I realised that there are 6 minifigs I don't particularly want 2 of. 3 lion soldiers isn't bad, 6 would be better, since I only have the ones in the lion castle. Will make a decision later. The other stuff aren't Castle or Space and therefore I don't give a rat's brick.

Looks great... (but too much yellow...) -
TLG will just say that they're in the set too, and we just can't see them

Did anyone end up getting that black spaceship? (Did that movie even come out?) Discussion on that one seemed to really fall off a cliff! Was wondering about anyone's first-hand experience with it. (Not interested in getting it, just curious about how it fared in the end) -

That's definitely too much yellow for Blacktron 1. Suits Batman or the Space Police 3 villains, but I think I'm going to want to do some parts replacement when I get this set(s). -

Yes, all those colour changes are improvements. That's a good ratio of black to yellow. I don't think that the rear bit where the buggy goes is necessary, (it improves on the blank space but I think the buggy is a better inclusion,) and I'd add the arrow tiles in place of the 2x2 black tiles behind the front connections. -

I'm hearing people about the studs, yellow and such. But this will be a must-buy for me anyway. It's my favourite theme of all time (even though it's my least favourite set from it), and the short-comings can be dealt with by mods. The coolest minifigs TLG ever made are back big time. I've already decided to get 2 for this purpose, and to make it symmetrical at the front (it always bothered me about the original) with 2 cockpits. Blacktron will finally get a proper capital ship. People were already talking about it in 2 other threads - no need for a 3rd. We repeat ourselves too much as it is. -

The leaked photo does not make it look great. I hope it has alternate modes (I don't mean alternate builds) that look better. The original was awkward looking, this version has copied that, made it less plate-y, but not made it sleek. It's too much of an homage in a bad clunky way. I wonder how it looks next to the 2 Invaders. It looks like a bunch of gantries with a cockpit. 3 original (or previously reissued) minifigs is a tick, the robot is a tick, the buggy is a tick. Looks like it gets picked up by the ship in Rebel Hunter style. Tick. If the ship sucks, it's at least a great parts pack for something custom. -

My castle arrived last week, and yesterday I finally found a box (mostly empty of course) of the minifigs in stock somewhere. 11 packets still in it, so I got 1 each of 9. No dragon man, half dragon man or eagle man. Gonna have to go to Bricklink after all... not liking the prices...- 686 replies

Nexo Knights Axl's Torso disassembly
Artanis I replied to Hidronax's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I also tackled this after my previous post, but forgot to share my results. I took the opposite approach however - I demolished the outer section to use the 'normal' torso. It, too, only has printing on the exposed part. I made a 'sticker' with the logo to place on the blank part of the torso that shows through the standard Nexo armour piece. Here is my troop of Nexonauts: -

Retailers want people to buy old stock already on the shelf for Christmas, they don't want people to be instead pre-ordering things that come out next year. TLG would get serious complaints if they were advertising and even allowing pre-orders for future 2025 releases.
