  1. My castle arrived this week, the unopened (very minimalist artwork) box is now sitting on top of the Lion Knight's Castle box (also yet to be opened)...
  2. You guys, come on... post pictures if you can get it to work, and post pictures if you can't get it to work. Then everyone can understand what everyone else is on about.
  3. Large dwarf and undead armies are far less common than the others - I guess the dwarf helmets (that the beards fit) are hard to get hold of, and the skeletons are relatively plain-looking, making it difficult
  4. Clearly there is demand for it, if they decided 'no' they really are crazy
  5. The Ideas set is listed on Lego.com under "exclusives" ... and collectible minifigures never are
  6. At some point in time, (particularly due to popular Christopher Nolan films) it has become unwritten rule in action movies/shows that everything has to have all sorts of plot twists thrown in to keep the story from being too predictable. (Murder mysteries have alway done this.) This leads to half-stories told at the start, and then flash-backs riddled everywhere to keep you guessing until all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle are revealed. I actually find it annoying, especially when it leads to plot holes. I didn't like the flash-backs in Andor, I thought them unnecessary. These ones are a bit tedious, but at least they serve a purpose. This show doesn't make a lot of sense though, with the girls raised in an indoctrinated closed environment where the jedi are painted as villains. Why would one of them want to be a jedi if she was only told the propaganda against them? Where did the contrary information come from to make her think 'the jedi are good'?
  7. There are half a dozen or more in the Bricklink Designer Program series 5
  8. Looks pretty representative! I enjoyed playing this game back when I had time for it. (and before they decided to remove a bunch of content I liked - too bad if you've paid for that) A lot of my laptop desktop backgrounds are screenshots of campaign cut-scenes from Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Forsaken and Shadowkeep (the weird one on the moon I didn't understand what was going on or where anything was on the map).
  9. I'm still a bit mixed about this show, but we'll see! Was quite sad to see Carrie-Anne Moss die right at the beginning. It's pretty clear from early on that everyone except 1 or 2 of the girls is going to die. Regarding sets, the usual TLG approach for SW TV shows is everything from the first episode, and nothing from the rest of the season... at least for a long time
  10. Same! No other posts, maybe trying to scope out the industry to see if there's a job vacancy for up-and-coming young bots, haha
  11. I got that blue hat - it fits an adult head. I didn't like that it's pre-'worn' either, but I got it anyway. And I'd rather they never replaced the classic smiley on anything
  12. I think I got this email once already? It's not meant to be sent for another month. Maybe things have moved around a bit quicker than expected.
  13. I think that we also need the reverse angle to judge properly!
  14. It's almost a given that the eventual Gollum movie will have merchandising including Lego. So I guess if they do a full wave of playsets, let's say 7 sets, how many Aragorn, Legolas, Gollum & Gandalf minifigs will we get? And 1 Bilbo or 2?
  15. So, zero. Same for me. We use our imagination in Legoland! Canon is for licenced products like Star Wars
  16. I love Minas Morgul. The eerie green glow is so cool. Worst thing about Minas Morgul/Ithil isn't the limited screen time, but the lack of action & interior. You don't see anything "in" it at all. Just a big white/lime walls-towers-combo. A fell beast flies overhead. Orcs march out from the entrance. The only thing that DOES actually happen is the magic fire thing shooting up. Good luck representing that Lego play feature. And the whole thing surely can't be made from glow-in-the-dark bricks... An oliphaunt/mumakil set doesn't have to be at Pelennor Fields - it could be in Ithilien with... get this... FARAMIR and other Gondor rangers! What concept! A Faramir minifig!
  17. Although double points are active, it's not enough to get me to pull the trigger - thanks to all the bills just around the corner. Hopefully there's another opportunity later in the year. Still on back order too.
  18. Not really sold on the vehicle mode at first glance. Doesn't really look like a Beetle, and certainly not the G1 toy version. Looks like he'll be on the shelf in robot mode after all!
  19. Bumblebee looks pretty G1 representative, in terms of both the cartoon & toy robot. I'm guessing that the car mode will be a lot nicer looking, but that's too bad, because I'd rather put him on the shelf in robot mode. It 'transforms', but some disassembly of the black lion is required. The weight of the full robot was too heavy for the hip joints if they were articulated, so you have to take them off to rotate them. But we keep in mind for Transformer combiners, there is the full robot mode, the individual vehicles mode, but also a third individual robots mode - so even more complexity required.
  20. What model is it? I have a G10. The camera has a macro mode for closeups if you swipe to the left.
  21. Yes, if you were going to make a huge hobbit set it should be Hobbiton, not just Bag End. Include 2, 3 or more homes, the creek & bridge and such. Like the starting area in the game.
  22. Strange. No fell beast set for here it seems. Only some Ninjago promotion. Wasn't going to buy it today anyway, just added to my cart for a look.
