LuxorV: like the heavy troops! Oky: I think Palpatine needs to explain, because I don't get it.

Rufus's 375 Yellow Castle Restoration Project
Artanis I replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Shame that things like boxes, stickers etc aren't so easily repaired or replaced. I'd just like to point out that your castle bricks appear to have suffered from the worst case I've ever seen of yellowing... you have a lot of work to do there! -
Haha, first one was pretty funny. Second one reminds me of Eric Cartman...

Some great creations here, Steph. Some ways simple, in others nicely detailed. I'd like to see the whole town put together! Too funny about the ice cream accident, how many times have I seen that?

Perfect! Another excellent mini version! It appears that you have stolen Gru's shrink ray...

The speculation begins! But disappointing to see no new Kingdoms in 2012. (Besides the joust)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Artanis I replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
You've pretty much summed it up, he's very gruff, not as nice as Cody etc from first impressions. I don't dislike him, I just don't care for him much. Not yet anyway. Most clones I do like. Regarding C3PO, I would send him off to be deactivated permanently... but I admit he's a likeable character to watch from the distance of this galaxy. As to not liking droids, who does he think he is? Ellen Ripley? -

A very irreverent episode. Unstable government situations created with no remorse, hideous death/grievous bodily harm (no pun intended) by slapstick humour... Well I saw the funny side. And good to see Grievous looking tough. I too laughed at Adi Gallia sweeping the droids around. It looked like Felucia to start with, but not quite similar to the S3 visit - and they weren't Felucians. For once I agree with Darth Sion, I don't really like Commander Wolffe at this point. -
Just noticed that on the box art there is an hourglass used to represent the typical time for a game - previously a clock face was used.

I already have Minotaurus, and although the mini version looks pretty good, I'll stick with the first one. I like the look of City Alarm, it looks quite interesting. Kokoriko still has me a bit intrigued as to what it is/how it works. Eggs? I like the pink "Mr Shmallow"ish tiles. The Hoth one will be a hard game for me to skip (mostly just because it's SW)... but I'm hoping for some more Heroica next year too.

Nice new title BTW... to be honest I first thought you had misspelled "actually" - like it was some new cool way to say it... -

Replying to Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion But I like this thinking... You gotta love to hate her, and Grievous really needs some powerups... -

ARC looks better in that photo than the catalogue one from a few weeks ago. ARF looks good, as does Gree. Funny to see series 2 "planet" sets already, that was unexpected! They look a bit more appealing than I first imagined. Most of the rest is out of my SW budget price range, Kingdoms Joust takes priority you see... -

I think you mean "rogue" haha, he's as far from rouge as you can get... -
Although I've heard "divvy" used as an abbreviation for "divide up" (as in share between more than one person) many times, "divvy van" is a term originating from Victoria where the official name for a police panel van (a ute/van with an enclosed section on the back that may or may not have a seat or seat belt, used for driving unruly persons to a police station etc) is "divisional van", otherwise known as a "paddy wagon". Sporting events in Melbourne will often have a chant "you're going home in the back of a divvy van *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap* *clapclapclapclap* *clapclap*" when a crowd member is apprehended by police for pushing the boundaries of official acceptable behaviour... (often accompanied by cries akin to "haha, sucked in!") So you are very close! I think the lights look a bit better where you've moved them to.

I also assumed that the computer system would've been brought in due to their involvement in the Republic, even if just to monitor/control whatever and whatever else for the war. -
Shame you can't give her a pink cap like her bros, and I agree that stop motion is a must!!! Awesome clean Lego scene, perfect representation. I even have the music in my head now...

I like the idea of the tavern with thugs... I'm not a huge fan of the civillian side of things to be honest, I prefer the battle side of things but I like that idea. On the LOTR topic, I get the feeling that whatever we would get would probably all contain Frodo, half would contain Sam, Gollum or another hobbit... they would all be vig-like (movie) sets of (Lego) sets. I doubt we'll get much at all in terms of armies, castles or even notable figures outside of the 9. I would LOVE to have Rohan, Gondor, Easterling, Corsair, orc, uruk hai, goblin, elf, ent & ghost armies etc, with all the characters & creatures represented, all the impressive architecture ("current" & ancient ruin) but I don't like my chances unless TLG decide to make this one for the AFOLs. With that in mind, there would be absolutely no stepping on Kingdoms' toes... And while I am prepared for the sad potential possibility of no Dragon Castle, I am still hoping, because it would certainly be a killer!
