Eurobricks Event 2016 avatar-vignette competition
Holodoc replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I will keep an eye on you... -
Check. You're welcome.

The price at Smyth's is actually better than any offer in Germany... ... but this is the question of questions. I sincerely hope it will be available there! I may come back to you after the event.
-
If you can get hold of 60098 for a reasonable price, let me know. I'm interested in the complete set as well as the brown tipper (in multiples).

@bricktect: I saw all of the friends baby animals sets offered on a German AFOL site. The seller asks 5€ each +shipping costs. Would that be okay? I'd happily buy them for you.

That could be only one, but he's sadly not attending... -
Following the traditions for all of you that will be in Billund for the event here's the '16 competition ! The object for this competiton is to build a vignette which shows your avatar in a typical surrounding. Rules: The model has to be built on a plate which is no bigger than 10x10 studs! Overlapping on the sides is allowed to max. one stud! The model must contain your avatar. What does your avatar typically do? Copy that in the build. alien parts (Brickarms, whatsoever) are allowed. It must be a new Moc by you - no recycling please. The finished model must not be revealed/shown/posted until the event. The jury will consist of all eventees who will assign points to the qualifying entries.(just like two years ago...) If you don´t enjoy yourself while taking on this assignment you´ll be disqualified big time. [special Copmike rule ] Prizes: Yes, our special event coordinator is working on cool stuff. It's less than 50 days now , so get that brain of yours running, connect the fine motor skills and start building !

Good call it was on the frontpage! I browsed the first page of this topic and my jaw dropped deeper and deeper... This is really mindblowing, a lot of members told you so before. Are you doing anything else since September besides this? Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us! I have to admit, I was too lazy to browse through all of the 12 pages, but where do you get your inspiration from? The movie alone, or the video game or also LEGO Dimensions?

42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator
Holodoc replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm so excited! Living close to the Hambach surface-mining area for brown coal (lignite), my family went on a visit just last year to see this giants of technic. Here are some photos: And even if this BWE (Bagger 291) is not the template for the LEGO version, I always wanted to have one. In the younger years I wanted one made of Fischertechnik, now TLC made one in LEGO! Even better! That's an instant buy for at least one copy. -

I will be ordering the 6x6 red radar dishes on August, 1st right away from LEGO customer service. Hail for that one! -
Thanks for the heads-up, Dfenz. I was just lazy... So trade ON! ... and very cool to meet some new EB-members this year. Looking forward to it! Just the heads or the complete figure? If it's just the head I do have some left overs. I could help out with some Prince of Persia minifigs, too. Some Harrys (Harries?) are spare ones as well... For the boat hull: They are pricey on BL! I am not decided yet if I want to part with my one. Give me some time to think it over.

@bricktect & Puvel: I am not aware of the actual eventees-list for our 12th event. Are you two attending? I'll gladly reserve the figs for you then, Puvel. @Captain Green Hair: Good to see you back again! Figs reserved.

Hey Calabar! Do we have a search function to search for a set number to see if a certain set is covered in this topic? I was looking for model 11910 which belongs to a DK book. So I can't search for a specific theme. I'm currently working on the set with physical bricks by looking at photos (didn't want to buy the book just for the set ), but I would love to upload an LDD-file afterwards.

Isn't this too early? No - it's not! We're three months from our next annual IRL meeting in the heart of LEGO world in Billund. Time to sort out the bricks and sets you don't want or need (need???) any more. And to offer them to people you know (primarily to eventees), saving expensive shipping costs. If you don't attend to the event you can still ask the ones offering if they sell it to you (asking doesn't cost anything after all ). That's exactly what I did. And I found out that Star Wars is completely overrated... So this is what I have to offer right now (photo shows what's actually on sale, all sets come with instructions but without box, all sets in perfect, used, vitrine-stored condition): 7673 Just the fighter, no figs or other accessories: 25 € (the old grey cone will be replaced with a proper lbg one ) 7962 Just the two speeders with their minifigs (Anakin and Sebulba): 30 € 8095 Just the fighter, no figs or other accessories: 25 € 9498 The fighter with his pilot Saesee Tiin and R3D5: 15€ 10230 Minini modulars, complete model: 100€ Minifigs Just the one's in the back row. From the left to the right, in brackets the Series: 1) Blacktron Mech (3) - 5,50€ 2) Boxer (5) - 3€ 3) Skater (1) - 8€ 4) Judoka (2) - 3€ 5) Baseballer (3) - 6€ 6) Fisherman (3) - 4€ 7) Robot (1) - 10€ 8) Tigerlady (14) - 3,50€ 9) Homer (Simp1) - 3,50€ 10) Skatergirl (6) - 2€ 11) Pigman (13) - 3,50€ 10% discount if you take more than 5 figs, price for all eleven is 40€ What I am looking for: The Flyman from Series 14: The hopper from set 60098: just the brown hopper to the right. I can use multiples of it. So - what do you have to offer?
