  1. Booked, paid and confirmed.Yay!
  2. Oops, sorry, I misread your first post. It was of course Martin's flickr account I was referring to. Too bad he hasn't got more photos on his flickr. I try to hunt down more of James' photos on the net.
  3. Looking at James' flickr folder I don't think he's the one who built the figs shown in my first post. He did some similar ones, which are nice to re-build as well, but the ones in his flickr don't represent the figs from the Great Western Brickshow in Swindon 2014. And I'm stuck with contacting him by email - he didn't reply so far. Any more ideas?
  4. I have seen the Star Wars movie yesterday, now I'm completely hooked on my prize. Congrats to all the winners, better luck for those who didn't win this year - there will be another chance, I'm sure. And again THANK YOU Copmike!!! Merry Christmas to all of you!
  5. Reservation for chalet 2 is on it's way - the facility is closed during the holidays though.
  6. Oh, wonderful L@go! Thanks for the info and I'd like to have his e-mail address as I want to make my own sigfig in a scale like this!
  7. Hello all! I have recently read an (older) article in the Blocks magazine about the Great Western Brickshow in Swindon 2014. There was a photo about some "not-so-mini" figures: They are definitely smaller than the maxifig from set 3723. Does anybody know more about these figures? Does anybody have more photos (I don't dare to ask for instructions...) Or do we even have the creator around here in the forums? Thanks for help!
  8. I won B which is absolutely fabulous! Thank you so much!
  9. Now if this isn't a very cool prize update, I don't know! Thanks a bunch, Mike - you're the best!
  10. Terrific review, WhiteFang, thank you very much! I skipped buying all of one series some time ago and this one will be no different. Some goodies (clumsy guy , the skunk!), some (almost half of the series) totally uninteresting to me. For example: I grew up with classic space but this CS guy is really ... uninspired.
  11. I am fine with everything so far. Shall I contact the vendor to book our chalet #2?
  12. So you take care of all our flags now, Rick? Great to see this is still running!
  13. Okay, then our Chalet is already done! Aredhel Peppy Eccliastes MstrOfPpts and me Welcome aboard!
  14. As for me: Sure thing!
  15. Great prices, indeed! Time to get excited!
  16. One of my (many) plans for next year: Build a realistic LEGO tree for my city. I started with an X-mas one. (and realised: There is room for improvement...) Once again a big THANKS to Copmike!
  17. Akiyuki - you are a genius!

  18. Hello everybody! Now that I almost have all required bricks I cannot see any of the building instructions on page 1 of this topic any more. I just see "Posted Image" with a link leading nowhere (the IP says 54.213.90.68 which seems to be Blackbirds file storage). Am I the only one to face this problem? Help is appreciated!
  19. Just like the pre-posters already pointed out: It looks like it is a Gaudi's or Hundertwasser's design. For my taste the exterior is too twitchy: Both colours (way to much gold) and surface (lbg humps) don't convince me, sorry. But the interior is great!
  20. Nothing to add. Very well done! Ouch. Never tell! Good details are always intentional.
  21. For stories you'll have to wait - I am quite busy right now setting up a game for our local parish festival this weekend - with 100% LEGO bricks! But if anybody wants to tell his/her story first ... By the way: Dana, where are your photos?
  22. Not from the U.S. I will have to skip as going overseas just for this doesn't seem to be a reasonable option. If it ever comes to Europe, I'm in.
  23. Photos from Slough: misprints: When adults play with kid's toys... The contest: Build Windsor Castle. The results: Which one would you have chosen? The winners: Rolli, 3rd place (blue castle bottom line), Quarryman 2nd (tan castle, 2nd to the right), Peppermint 1st (tan castle top in the middle)!
  24. Wow. That has once again been a very exhausting, nevertheless fantastic event this year. After recovering from the lack of sleep, I finally uploaded my photos here.I'd like to thank all of the people who in very different ways supported me with the organization of this event: Rolli, Miss Kyle, Bonaparte, Copmike and of course the people at TLG, Kim Thomsen from the CEE-team for providing us with the good stuff and Tom Whatsham for the group leading us around the call center! Some nice examples: Elias, Rufus, Lukas, Pandora, Holodoc, Aredhel, MstrOfPppts, Rolli, Quarryman, Cecilie, Ace, Peppermin_M, Miss Kyle, Matt. Welcoming Fred, the newest EB-member... and the winner of the contests: Cecilie! This absolutely gorgeous hotel EDIT: It looks like the photos were taken from the hotel's website, but they aren't! All were made during the event. When we go back to Windsor in 4 years, this place is a must-stay. And the ca. 90€ per night & person including breakfast are absolutely okay! more photos soon...
