To be honest, I am kinda disappointed by LEGO Ideas (or CUUSOO) so far. Let me write down my concerns and I'd like if you comment on them. 1. Big scale models are pretty much complete waste of time. I mean no disrespect to people who put their creations on there but seriously LEGO, if you don't want anything big scale in Ideas, just add it into rules and details section. 2. Models from current licenses also does not have big chance. Why they don't just release it along it the ongoing theme if its voted? 3. I might be mistaken on this one but Ideas is more profit oriented than it should be. After first two sets, when it gained popularity. Look at BttF set, even though it was a dreadful model (I still hate myself for buying it) it is the best selling set on Amazon. Ghostbusters will be one of the best sellers of LEGO up to date, I'm sure of that. Minecraft likewise. But they should give chance to non-licensed, unique creations too. There had been quite a few nice projects that got rejected. Oh well, I hope exo-suit and female minifig set can prove me wrong. Besides all these, I have a little annoyance special to me too which has nothing to do with Ideas but, I kinda dislike when people put everything they build into Ideas. I don't get it and I find it annoying. They also spam forums and topics with their links and stuff like that.

Who have you banned from looking at/touching/playing with your LEGO
Dharkan replied to legoman19892's topic in Community
If anyone acting like untamed monkeys, I ban them no matter what the age. Seriously, you can't be like "heh toy. Can I swoosh and smash it?" LEGO is a toy, yes, but it is also a hobby. I couldn't care less about someone who does not respect my hobby. But still, lately I didn't have to do that, in fact I can't remember when was the last time I had to hide my LEGO.- 64 replies

Fire Brigade is still on sale where I live. I'm wondering if I'll regret not buying it because at the moment I'm trying to choose between Fire Brigade and Pet Shop.

Oh by the way my sister is studying architecture too. Is there any tips on usage of LEGO in architecture?

What Marvel/DC Characters Will NEVER Get Minifigures?
Dharkan replied to Suspsy's topic in LEGO Licensed
A lot of characters. Anyone familiar with DC and Marvel universe will know that naming will be an endless and pointless process Unless Superheroes become a successful theme like Star Wars, I don't think we will even get some of the well known heroes either. -
It seems Peter Jackson managed to ruin whole book completely. I thought he can't go any lower than second movie but it seems Thorin is going to live in the end of movie and we are going to have Sauron as a villain. I'm not gonna watch this stupid made-up fantasy film which has the same name with one of the greatest book I've ever read.

Crayon's Customised Iron Man minifig :)
Dharkan replied to crayonboi's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I love it when people works as good and clean as you do. I mean, this is something extraordinary. Custom minifigs are usually average and amateurish. -
Tumblers (Camouflage Versions) - Movie Accurate 2 Seaters
Dharkan replied to woon_tze's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really hate Tumbler as a vehicle. Such a messy design to my liking. But very well done on making it on brick form to accurately. -
I'd get this set on discount. I don't really like the vehicle but minifigs are incredible.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Dharkan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Around what time of the year they announce new modulars? I wonder how long we will be waiting curious about next one. :) -

Being subjective is not a problem, you're being aggressive by trying to dictate your idea so fiercely. It irritates people. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Dharkan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
In my opinion Pet Shop is just as cool (cooler to me) as Green Grocer. Biggest reason Green Grocer is a big big hit is that its a residential building. Everybody likes residential buildings because they are always compacts and good looking in their own way. If I have to rate all modulars with few words explanations, my rating would be like this; Market Street: good start Cafe Corner: has some big problems (windows and stuff) Green Grocer: well made building Fire Brigade: best non-residential building, great accuracy Grand Emporium: great details inside, boring outside but hey, its a shopping place. Pet Shop: best modular to date but complains about size might make sense (though not really to me) Palace Cinema: has major flaws in design and detail department Town Hall: Terrible just terrible. You can buy it on discount for parts Parisian Restaurant: Another good model but color scheme is terrible. So other than Town Hall I don't think there's much wrong with modulars. I mean of course, LEGO have a lot to improve, I really agree with everyone on that. I also agree with every criticism about models and their harmony BUT complains about their size is kind of funny to me. Do you buy modulars to get a lot of bricks or anything? Modulars are just great buildings to display. You can dismantle and use the parts of course, that's the whole point of LEGO :D but I really have hard time seeing size of a modular a problem -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Dharkan replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I am up for anything well made. I just don't want things that are usually big and cramped down into modular size or buildings that are plain boring *hint Town Hall hint* So, in my opinion a museum wouldn't be the best idea. It can be a some sort of art and exhibition gallery, though. I'd love a 16x32 painting exhibition with a baroque building next to it. -

Well the thing is, If everyone becomes the kind of customers who "eventually buys everything", it'll only make LEGO products worse and worse. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I don't think we would get a church neither I would find it fitting to LEGO's overall attitude with being neutral. You can MOC yourself a modular church but LEGO is a multi-cultural toy. -

I really hope for library or post office. But I think both of them have structures which usually aren't that big so we might get something like Parisian Restaurant size. -
LEGO Frozen anyone? (Expand the Disney Princess line)
Dharkan replied to smittyfan's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is such an awesome model but there's no way this is being accepted by LEGO. The way it is made may be accurate and looks cool but not good as a set. -
Batman: Man-Bat attack is really awesome, helicopter rocks. Captain America set has a weak vehicle but both sets have great minifigs.

Great MOC but I didn't really find it futuristic.

Simpsons appeal AFOLs. More than many other sets actually. It has both great parts and the house itself is quite good. Also Simpsons is more like a teenager/adult cartoon. And criticism can be harsh as long as its not too harsh. I am the customer and they have to please me. It is not a good set, it is an okay set. The hype Lego and some people are making about this is pointless. This is just a set with some play features, like almost every other (big or small) Lego sets. I really don't get how some people like every single product Lego releases. Lego got you under its spell or something? :D

I don't think it is realistic this way. If you want to extend the length you need to make it wider too.

Sucks big time. At least it's nothing to do with modulars, that's the only relief.
