Here's a counterclaim: Lego says Technic is one of their top 5 performing themes in their 2025 financial report. It has been a consistent moneymaker for decades. You may not like what they're doing with technic and licensed sets, but it's certainly making them money.

I can see at least two reasons: During marketing research they figured out that Rollses and Bentleys aren't as attractive to the target audience compared to other brands Rolls & Bentley don't think Lego's audience is worth marketing to.

It seems like that to a casual observer. However, even though they may have been based on similar models in similar scales, they are both vastly improved as far as functionality goes.

Like some sort of drifting mechanism with spinning rear tires and new suspension components. So sad that no set like that was released this year.

After a trial run earlier this year we made it to Legoworld in Utrecht for seven days of fun with heavy machinery. This scale allows for vehicles that are both attractive and functional, and we're pleased to report we had very little technical trouble along the way. Replacing one burned out L motor, some fiddling with the parts and back to mining we went. We had lots of positive attention from the audience, and we hope you'll like the video as well.
