  1. If you do go, and you do go to both, and you do want to hit the Pick a Brick wall, then bring a extra container. If you fill a cup at one store (dump it in the container in your car) and bring the cup back in, they usually have a sticker on the side with 50 cents off or something if you reuse the cup. Also stack pieces in the cup to your advantage. Read our PAB cup thread here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=27795 It's pretty long so set a few minutes aside.
  2. Good sweet Lordy that interior is pretty! This looks like a winner of a set, not in my budget or style, but very nice indeed.
  3. Following up last month purchase of City of Atlantis and the Tripod Invader to get a free Target Practice set at my local LEGO store, this month: 7187 Escape from Dragon's Prison 7050 Alien Defender 6918 Blacksmith Attack 7049 Alien Striker Free 30141 ADU Jetpack polybag Credit $5.00 VIP balance So, quite done with buying for a while. The plan is to fuse these two Kingdom sets with the Dragon Prison Tower that I got for $18 at K-Mart clearance ( ), add some side walls, a barracks, and courtyard with home for the blacksmith. Maybe something else too... into a huge MOD. And the Alien stuff is to invade the couple Town MOCs I am currently working on.
  4. Oops, I totally missed the release date (now) of the earth dragon set! Nice catch, yeah, maybe we will get dragon / snake people next year...
  5. Nah, I don't think so. A lot of attention has been drawn to this image around here, but I think it's just a teaser for the upcoming Earth Dragon set we've already seen.
  6. Not very often I get to chime in here, but... The Atlantis Temple, and the Tripod Invader, bought at my local LEGO Store to take advantage of the >=$75 dollar get a free Target Practice polybag. I'll be back next month for the small alien invasion sets to meet >=$35 get a free ADU Jetpack polybag set for August. Then, I'll have to lay low for a while. But I space out my building, so I'll be occupied.
  7. Not much else for me to say that hasn't been said already, but definitely one of your best, mate.
  8. Thanks Kiel! Yeah it's noticeably too long for Town / City but I exaggerated it a bit for comedic reasons.
  9. Inspired by 7595 "Army Men on Patrol," Toy Story, and of course, the classic toy that inspired it all. The war is over. What are our green friends doing to do with their time? How about stripping their jeep for military grade parts and tooling around town in a customized lowrider? Editor's Notes: Had a lot of fun creating this. I'm not experienced with 6-wide town vehicles at all, and some areas didn't flow as nice as I'd like. Also didn't have as much green as I thought. The best way to view this (so I don't have to resize everything) is here at my Flickr album, so hit the series for the full details. A couple teaser shots are below. I bet you do. Let's hear em. Thanks for reading and looking. Comments / constructive criticism welcome.
  10. And one more from Ohio, as am I. Where do you two hail from? I'm in Cincy.
  11. That's a rather big error for an instruction booklet! You can request a new one through LEGO's site if you'd like. They are good about replacing bad / missing pieces.
  12. Very nice Helena. The custom tile sticker adds a lot to the scene, but the minifig combos are nice as well. By the way, to help your English, the word is caricature not creature. Otherwise, you speak well.
  13. Interesting and early? Quality pictures, though I could use a bit more words in reviews to get top marks. I love to play devil's advocate so... boy, that belt printing is horrible, innit?
  14. As always, thanks to Eurobricks, the mods and staff, and LEGO? for these awesome raffles! Ninja Vs Bounty Hunter by TheWarden007, on Flickr Ninja Vs Bounty Hunter The goal: Build a 16x16 studs base/diorama/vignette in which a white Boba Fett is "missing." The prize: Said "White Boba Fett" polybag set. Such a fabulous minifig would be placed on the 1x2 tan plate on the right, blaster aimed high. The story: Boba would rather be tracking down sentient targets, but when a job came in to hunt down a "golden weapon," he took it. Credits are credits. His journey took him to a primitive world. After a rather boring few days staking out a civilized area, success was had after blasting the skull off some strange bony figure. Too easy, Fett thought to himself. What happens next? You decide!
  15. To clarify, do we have to the end of day today 29th or tomorrow the 30th? I forgot about this and I don't think I'll have time tonight...
  16. Really clever idea that has been executed well! Nice job.
  17. First off, thanks to Eurobricks, mods / staff, and LEGO ? for this awesome raffle. I appreciate even the chance to win such nice prizes! So, here's hoping... I had a couple of ideas, but they got taken. So I decided to make a container to supplement my recent MOC. A train... err.. monorail container for my recent Suntron MOC as well as... a raffle entry. Features include open sides for placement of biopods, status control panel with warning lighting on side, and a biopod supplemental accessory providing a solar panel for energy generation, gas storage and hookups, etc to ensure proper long-term maintenance of specimens. Enjoy. Suntron Monorail Container by TheWarden007, on Flickr If you'd like to hear about Suntron or see the MOC that carries these biopods, hit my Flickr link below.
  18. Ha, you beat me to it. Just bought one last night and thought I might "mini-review" it tonight. Oh well. My thoughts: Pros: - Nice value. 2 of those new angled clip brackets, 2 orange horns, 2 yellow cheese slopes, yellow animal tail, 5 red 1x2 plate with clip, angled plates. These are nice and semi-uncommon. - 1 uncommon dark red piece. - a few points of articulation - Red ninja and sword Cons: - Looks like a chicken. - If the base was 1 longer, like a 2x4 instead of the 2x3 that was in here, you might be able to have studs on the top which would a play feature; the ninja could ride the dragon. - The color of the tooth piece? Mine is light orange I think, a color I have none of... Should be orange or yellow. Useless maybe. - No feet. - Looks like a chicken. Thanks for the review. EDIT: Also, Bricklink is calling this set "Pheonix"?

  21. I love exploring the EU! Boy, the source material is strange... and frankly, rather ugly. But, you've done an amicable job adapting it to microscale. Quite clever and nice techniques!
  22. This might be mildly off-topic, but the Frog Rush game is certainly the best thing since sliced bread to us Frogspacers - http://www.flickr.com/groups/frogspace/ Now if I can just get over this builder's block...
  23. You already own both? I do not understand. Why not buy one you don't own, Green Grocer if you can get it, or stash those monies away for the next modular release.
  24. Uhh.... LEGO has never had a Gundam license. Megablocks did however. Bricklink only sells LEGO brand items. Eurobricks typically does not have Megablocks content... or fans, for that matter. Why not try Megablock's website? If it is as good as LEGO's site then it should have its instructions online for download. Or maybe you can contact them and request lost CDs, instructions, bricks, what have you. Also just because you got ripped once on Ebay, doesn't mean you will be ripped every time you know.
  25. Star Trek isn't very popular for LEGO Moccing. I believe it's mostly due to scale. The ST universe doesn't have a lot of small vehicles or environments that suit minifigs. If you don't build to minifig scale, even to "pretend" minifig scale (like the official Star Wars sets - Death Star playset) then it's not as relevant. You can build to any scale you see fit. Legostein http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showuser=1505 has a really awesome collection of microscale ST stuff, so you can look there. Otherwise, I have seen some ST stuff here, so I'd try searching again.
