crabboy329: Holy wings, Batman! LOL. Thanks. KielDaMan: I reckon the Sci-fi forum is a bit slow, but thank you for commenting on both of my VVs.

My second Vic Viper build. Went for more of an experimental build as my first was more "traditional" VV form. To that end, it's asymmetric, the front prongs are a bit all over the place and the rear fin is off to the side. Old light gray, plus some trans colors, and the idea that it was primarily a research vessel with low weaponry gave me some Classic Space vibes so that's why I said NCS "esque." First time breaking out my fleshies too. The rainbow on the right was intended to be "visible light collectors," the clear bits to the left "non-visble light collectors" (aka x-ray, gamma, infrared, etc) and heck, a "RGB analyzer" to the upper left. The cockpit... I was determined to use that two-seater piece but building around it was a nightmare. There are a few detail pics on how I did that cockpit too. Honestly, I have to give credit to pasukaru76's Rainbow Ripper for the initial nugget of inspiration; I really wanted to do a rainbow in a spacecraft somewhere, so I built the right prong first and it all lead from there. Credits: - To the memory of Nnenn and the VV movement. - To pasukaru76 for the N2010 graphic and for inspiration. Thanks for looking! The best way to view this (so I don't have to resize everything) is with the higher res photos and tagged items here at my Flickr album! But if you like MOCPages it's there too. Incredible texture on this! I just want to run my fingers over it. Ahem. Yes, you managed studs, knobs, bars, ridges here very well. The... hmm, the multiple "1x4 plate with tire joints" in the front is novel. No criticism really, though some color variation or trans parts might be interesting. EDIT: Also thanks for the comment on my PT VV at Mocpages!

Stunning and very technically impressive! The "behind the scenes" shots help a lot to explain how you did this, thanks. Good luck in your comp.

Ha, great! Very Mad Max / apocaLEGO esque. The truck works well and your cast has good flavor! Your pics could be less pixelated / high res though to show off your work.
-
Wow, it's sleek and chunky at the same time. The color composition or blocking is done well. Sorry, no criticism here, though the rear tail fin is a little small for VV specs. Still recognizable though.

My first Vic Viper build. When I came upon Pinktron (It's like Blacktron. Only pink.) via http://www.flickr.com/groups/1297772@N22/ I was determined to try it. Alas... I only own pink 1x2x1 slopes. For the pilot, well, I only own 1 pink minifig part, so in it goes! I think it came out pretty well, though I wished I would have pushed the usage of the slope further. Credits: - To the memory of Nnenn and the VV movement. - To whoever came up with the Pinktron theme. - To Moctagon Jones for the bulk of Pinktron inspiration on the net. - To pasukaru76 for the N2010 graphic. - To r a p h y for the Pinktron logo. The best way to view this (so I don't have to resize everything) is with the higher res photos and tagged items here at my Flickr album! But if you like MOCPages it's there too. I have one more VV that'll post in the next day or so.

Pretty sure this don't work.

I think someone once took some chewed pieces and sanded them with sandpaper by hand all flat sides for a different texture / shade.
-
Finally caved to temptation... printed out Minfig Series 2 bar-code cheatsheet and picked out the pop star and lifeguard out at my local Meijer. I don't have many women minifgs / parts so I love these ladies! First collectible minifig purchase.
-
Not many female heads with glasses. Here's all (if I did my search right) minifig heads with glasses pattern - 2 pages: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=6&catString=238&catType=P&v=2 EDIT: Nope, didn't. Put "glasses" into the search there and it should work.

REVIEW #7976 ocean speeder
TheWarden replied to krystalKING's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Not a bad set. Has some unique new recolors to start the new theme. Decent price. If you care for some criticism, your review could use some work. Pics are small (or low res?), some are dark and several are out of focus. In addition, your type has some bad-ish grammar, few typos, and a lack of proper capitalization and spaces between words / lines. You might look at the very well made reviews done by our "Reviewer's Academy" or see if they are accepting new people if you want to do more reviews. Thanks for the early look though. -
It will probably be yet another variant of "Humans vs. Aliens" that is seen in all space themes in the last decade; yet, as a LEGO space fan I am still looking forward to it.
-
First, I was "Yeah, pretty cool. I like this" but you really won me over with the micro-scaled version of the rear play feature! Well done. Awesome and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
-
Howdy Stephen25! Nice first build. The cockpit and weaponry I think are well done. Interesting minifig too. To improve your building, I'd like to offer some constructive criticism. I think it could develop from some color or greytone variance (black or dark grey, maybe). The feet need some work as well; bit top-heavy and you need some more structure down there! Welcome to Eurobricks. I'm mostly in the Sci-Fi forum myself, but I lurk around everywhere. Feel free to introduce yourself in the "Hello, My name in" forum as well.

Quite interesting. I kinda dug the prelim skellie motorcycle more.... but I could see myself getting the Ice Dragon, and picking up the smaller ones with white or blue ninjas for figs. EDIT: Actually, I keep busting out laughing at the skellie motocycle! Awesome.
-
Wow, nice line! I'm not nuts about the new red color scheme (aside from trans-yellow!) but the angler fish set (with fishy minifig?) and the temple look plain awesome.
-
Changed my mind on the V-wing. That is super sexy looking! I'll still hold judgment till we have reviews / big pics , but I'm moving that up my short buylist.
-
In the garbage?!? ANYWAY... to anyone that has it, can you confirm it's a printed piece and not a sticker? Thanks.
-
Kinda odd set... I just bought the regular army jeep for (pretty sure) $9.99 at Target last month, so that seems like a better value that this mini-jeep. Thanks for the look, though. Did you buy the Target dog gift card set?

Which is your favourite 2011 set with pictures?
TheWarden replied to Lord Embo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As an only OT fan... none of 'em. I'm ok with that, let the CW fans have their fun! As a Sci-fi builder I will probably get the Mandos BP for the torsos... and dark blue pieces? -
Veeerrry nice color scheme, Pepper... er... Janice? I think I like the overall shaping and color composition of this one more than the previous one.
-
Oh, always nice to see new stuff from LT! Looks interesting with good color so far, but lots to do. I'll have to check back later.
-
Ain't much, but I finally bought one 7595 Army Men on Patrol. Green parts pack and army torsos for MOCcing! $10.99 at Target (typically I buy all my LEGO at the LEGO store, but they had them for $13.99... so not this time.)

Rules pdf is going, going... and it's outta here! That's ok, I'm patient. Note to others, no need to click that link for now.
