  1. Santa's cute, but I like the first for all the green cheese slopes. I might get it at $4 but at $5.... probably not. Otherwise, both are nice stocking stuffers!
  2. Possibly missed it, my search fu is weak. Looking at the Review index for this theme there do not seem to be any reviews. I own the 6494 Mystic Mountain Time Lab and... one of the smaller sets, I think. Are old set reviews interesting to you all? Or is seeing unavailable / out of print sets frustrating? I could review the Time Lab. And do not fret, if there is interest, I strive to do it well in vein of the admirable reviews that we see on EB. (Reviewer's Academy et all.)

    K-9 Walker

Great idea. I do agree the legs do not seem... logical, but lovely execution otherwise. I need to get a LEGO dog.
  4. Hrm, I missed this. Great. I was about to say that the color scheme seemed a little too random for my taste, but saw that you have the grey going through to the back and I think it works. What might work better is coordinating all the trans colors, or picking two if you have the pieces. I like the VOAT variant aka "Variant on a Theme" aka the old Blacktron cockpit (but I say variant because you used the domes instead of the hexagon cockpit.) I think it looks good and haven't seen that before. I think the back could use a little more detail. Perhaps the sensor array could have used some associated greebles? Wings are a bit thin. Maybe tiles or one more layer of plates would look better? Random idea. Since the back can be a standalone station, perhaps a small (fold-away?) console for walk-up operation would be interesting. Anyway, I love the overall shape, nod to neo-90's sets, and the insect references. Welcome out of your dark ages! Cheers.
  5. No, no, no, the third one is eating a banana! Peeing, sheesh. Cheers.
  6. Tan cheese slope and 2x2? white window service pack, ahoy! Nice to see, thanks. I saw this set in person last week and it's beautiful. Enjoy!
  7. Nice, will have to make some next time I make a cargo vehicle. Thanks for the instruction.
  8. Ha! I looked and was like "why did you buy a bag of Megablocks?" Candy, I see. I was hoping for cheese slopes on my last visit, but they said they were kinda rare. I'll have to make my own cheese service pack of all colors and Bricklink it one of these days.
  9. This is probably not news worthy, but I saw this in person at LEGO Store Cincinnati and it is... beautiful. Definitely awe-inspiring. I wonder if it is on display at other LEGO stores. Might be worth a phone call to your local one if you are interested.
  10. Oh, thank you all very much! I didn't think this ol' thing would get much attention. brickmack - White parts? I think you mislooked. Those are just various brick-built weapons stuck on the walls of the show room. I have a pic with all of them out. Dino_Bot & Decale - Yeah, I had a couple of people say that. It's funny what others see you never see yourself, you know. Face! Masked Builder, lightningtiger, KielDaMan, Legostein - Thanks for the praise! Until next time amigos...
  11. This might be too generic, but I've gotten lucky twice. Several years back I got a Star Wars collector that was moving, and for somewhere in the realm of $200-300 (don't remember and have no record of exact amount) for a ton of LEGO Star Wars (complete except as noted): 4504 Mil Falcon - no Leia, the snowtrooper and his large gun, or 3CPO 4483-1 Imperial AT-AT - no instructions, might not be complete, part of interior looks weird 4x Large grey baseplates, 48x48 4476-1 Jabba's Prize 4480-1 Jabba's Palace 2x 4500-1 Rebel Snowspeederâ„¢ 4501-1 Mos Eisley Cantinaâ„¢ 4502-1 X-wing Fighterâ„¢ - no X-wing, but Yoda's hut and minifigs 6207-1 A-Wing Fighter 7140-1 X-wing Fighterâ„¢ 7264-1 Imperial Inspection I still want a yellow Leia in bun hair and a 3CPO and that's all the Star Wars I will collect. (OT Star Wars collector) I have one more haul. You know those large rubber bins like 3 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot... I bought a mixed lot that about 3/4 full (something like 50 mini-figs, lots of random Star Wars and Town parts) for something about $150 I think a bit later. I dig around to I got to a half constructed pile that looked familiar, then built the old tiny 7144-1 Slave Iâ„¢ out of that! So, these two have been kind to me. Found them both on Craigslist. Found nothing reasonably priced since then. Too much competition on CL now for LEGO. Good luck LEGO hunters!
  12. One of my very old MOCS that I started before I was started getting into following LEGO online. Thus, it's a bit simpler and doesn't really show my current skill level. But it was fun to build. It's been displayed for around 2 years I think, and it's time to take it apart. This cargo / mobile showroom, nicknamed "Originator," was constructed for a weapons designer / fabricator to show and sell his wares across the galaxy. Lots of interior room, lots of brick-built and standard weaponry, and some other small areas were my goals. Exterior wise, there might be some tiger, stingray, or insect vibes, I don't know. I've added captions to most of the rest of the pics. The best way to view this (so I don't have to resize everything) is with the higher res photos and tagged items here at my Flickr album! But if you like MOCPages it's there too. A teaser shot (sized for EB) here: Ori-Splash by TheWarden007, on Flickr A teaser shot of the interior and the inventory here: Ori-Detail5 by TheWarden007, on Flickr In the market for an Omega range sniper rail gun? No? Overly heavy chaingun? Ori-Detail9 by TheWarden007, on Flickr Hope you enjoyed and thanks for looking!
  13. I have a "clue." Yes. It was Legorski in the closet with the revolver. Nice vig. Is the hatchet a rigged support for the shelf?
  14. I finally got around to building my first Pick a Brick cup! Cincinnati Ohio LEGO store represent. A lot of fun and value if you need the random stuff that shows up on PAB walls. I used the cup to pick up colors / pieces that I had none / little, so it helped my collection. You can check out the contents and price analysis here: PABCup01-2 by TheWarden007, on Flickr EDIT: Fixed.
  15. OK. I know absolutely nothing about HP, but boy is that pretty! Could be MODded into some nice Town layout I think as well.
  16. Doh! Now, do tell, why when I put "PAB" in search that doesn't come up? Thanks prateek. I'll put my cup in there.
  17. Do forgive me, I tried searching but can't find it if there is one. Tried Pick A Brick, PAB, and pick-a-brick... I have sworn I've seen one here before. There's a bunch of these share pics on Flickr, too. Anyway, I filled my first PAB cup from a LEGO Store (Cincinnati, OH) and thought I'd share my haul. Might be useful to other LEGO AFOLs b/c I know a bit that's on the wall. If there is a thread, feel free to move this, or link and close. Is there a PAB FLickr group? Can't find that either. Thanx.
  18. Oh, too difficult! But I reckon I'll go: 1 point for 4) Zombie & Pop Star Entry (Build by Plissken) - Hahahahahaha! 1 point for 19) Skater Boy & Spartan Entry (Build by Etzel) - Spartan way indeed. So pretty. 1 point for 3) Spaceman & Pharaoh Entry (Build by Optimus) - Nice details all around. Didn't look at other votes, so lets see if others agree...
  19. Hrmm.... nice collection as always. Without looking at other votes, I shall go: 1 point for 2) Traffic Cop Entry (Build by Yoshi648) - The only entry to make me laugh, so a point for you! 1 point for 28) Mexican Entry (Build by Mariko) - Thinking outside the box for the location, plus nice all around. 1 point for 34) Witch Entry (Build by Athos) - So pretty! Also out of the box for location. Honorable mention (if any body reads this) to 18) DJ Entry (Build by Optimus) which almost made my list. Now to see what others think...
  20. Oh yes, very nice indeed! It's refreshing to see a slim profile, small wing fighter in contrast. Legostein beat me to it though as I was going to comment to the front Tech piece. The incorporation of that is really clever and looks good. Incorporating Tech / Bioncle pieces if done right really add a lot to Sci-Fi. Other points of note include some nice sticker usage on the rear and compact cockpit. I always try to leave some criticism or "what if?" but can't come up with anything yet. Sorry. I am intrigued by the dark blue and wonder if you could have brought that forward to the front area and how? Striping? Just certain pieces? I'll leave you with that. Keep on building. EDIT: Flickr contact added!
  21. Can't tell what you trying to do: insert a picture or a link. It's not hard, guy; there are two buttons ^--- up here (when you make a new post) that say insert link and insert picture. Your limit on inserting pics is low though.
  22. As an aside, THANKS for taking our advice and cleaning this one. It's a personal irritant to most of us to see filthy LEGO, and it hurts professionalism anyway. Nice vig, I like it.
  23. I like this. If I had a suggestion perhaps, I would make the top room wider for a bedroom, the roof to the side can be smaller. There's nothing to do in that top room now. The outside front could possibly use a bit more detail as well.
  24. Hey, I also have the series on DVD as well, and as a fan of the 'toon, you've done well with these! Faves are Zim's different eyes and Dib's hair. Also kudos for finding CubeDudes that don't exist. I'd like to make some but there are quite a lot on MacLane's Flickr photostream...
  25. I like this. It may not be flashy, but it has a good utilitarian, military feel to it. Like it could be one of hundreds. I'm digging the brown for the feel I mention above. I think if you did red it'd look like some typical Star Wars thing.
