  1. Maybe this little guy knows more about brand-new City buildings for 2013..... or he might know about the release of a new steamtrain in 2013....who knows.....Maybe that is why he is so expensive... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  2. It is sad that people like you cannot build these wonderfull creations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week... It would be nice for us to see new creations from your hand every single day !! I recognize the Dutch style, also due to the fact that i'm Dutch....;) Very well done!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  3. You're just lucky ! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  4. Hi there, your plans inspire me to consider re-doing my layout.....makes me smile!!! Your plans are looking great..!!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  5. The color of the Seaside House might be a nice addition to my Town, but i'm not sure if i will pay that much for it... I'd rather buy one the older Creator houses for that money... Let's wait and see.... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  6. Kyphur, as long as i don't use the bridge to run trains on, i will keep it as it is now, but if i want to run the Maersk-train or the EN on it, i indeed need to widen it one or two studs on each side. It can be done easy... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  7. For the time being, i put the bridge at the side of a WIP-3677/Maersk Cargocentre.... With this picture you can see the full length of the bridge in comparison with the 7897 ICE train... Hope you like it.. it will moved to another place in the layout later... Greetz, LegoSjaa
  8. I like the design of the stairs the most! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  9. Here my voting! 4. Inn by Dix : 3 points 8. Train Station by cava : 2 points Greetz, LegoSjaak
  10. Stacker, thank you for your great reply....you mentioned an "Urban-look" of the pillar, and that is exactly the picture i had in mind when i was building the bridge...i saw a bridge in my mind, somewhere downtown in New York..and by adding those fence-like 8x8 parts on the side, it gives the pillar that look. I have to think where i should put the bridge.....i now know that there is no room for two inclining tracks leading to both bridge-ends...so it needs to be put somewhere in a corner, so it looks like the bridge-ends vanish in the walls along the layout... I could also make a few extra pillars and lead the track on the same height as the bridge all over the city....but the the bridge covers some nice details of my city.... Anyone suggestions?? I think this is the time to add the bridge to my layout... i tried that several times before, but at that stage the bridge was almost 2 meters long.... obviously a non-practical length...but now...well..i have a go!! I have to order parts, to finish it....so first i have to investigate what parts i need, before ordering...haha. Greetz and show any changes to the bridge to us!!
  11. Hi Legoroni, it is a simple but effective way to cover your layout with foil. It prevents your city against dust. Especially when you take close-up pictures of your city, to post them here on EB, it is important that the Lego is at least clean... Foil is also cheap; use the stuff painters use to cover furniture or something...it is thin and light, so it will also not damage your larger buildings. Another advantage of this thin foil is the price. Cheap foil makes you able to spent more money on Lego instead of other minor things.... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  12. Either separate pieces in a box with a lid on it ...or either in a layout covered with a large plastic foil-sheet between two long wooden sticks.... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  13. Stacker, thanks for your advice....i just read it, and 80% of my bridge is completed. I need some parts in different colors and some extra parts... This is not the final design, but im pretty satisfied already.... About your advice.... there now is some space between the bridge-parts, but it doesn't affect how rigid the bridge is... In combination with the track, it is actually (surprisingly) immense ridgid and stiff...it doesn't bend at all... I just put one pillar under it.. i think it is not the worst pillar.... The length of the bridge is 160 studs (10 straight track-pieces), about 125 centimeters.... Hope to hear comment from any of you! I actually do hardly ever MOC; only build original Lego-sets..but i think this bridge isn't that bad... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  14. I still like your bridge and i started building a new bridge with your idea of putting those bridgeparts upside down. I can use 6 bridge-pieces for each side...so it will be a long bridge... But i'm facing the problem that i do not have much tech parts. I already constructed the bridge-parts together and in combination with straight track mounted on it, it turns out to be extreme rigid..... It hardly need support, except from the two outer ends.....so maybe one pillar in the middle will be suficient.... I post pictures here, when i have a decent creation that looks like a bridge....although it will be not as nice as yours! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  15. So there is no name for these buildings....well, then call them 'Stackables' like the Modulars.. In this shot are also two 'Stackables' reetz, LegoSjaak
  16. ...oh yeah... i would like to build something similar... i have 12 of those bridgepieces from the 7900 set! (bought 3 sets) Really realistic construction, beautifull!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  17. A bit late, but here my Maersk entry....;) Greetz, LegoMaerskSjaak
  18. Looks great... you should connect the green baseplates with green plates as well... i use simple 2 x 2 plates for conncting any baseplate, but in the right colour... Its just a detail, but an important one... I'll keep on following your improvements!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  19. Well...will try to post a video right into Eurobricks next time....! I do have a lot of pictures on Flickr, but not a specific folder. Just look around in this folder: My Flickr Link Greetz, LegoSjaak
  20. Phred, it would be an honour to have my layout indexed on this wonderfull forum as well: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64729 It is about 8 square meters, 50.000 pieces and 300 minifigs. Greetz, LegoSjaak
  21. I simply bought two sets and sold from one set the engine... so now i haven one EN with two carriages, with the second carriage in the same colours for a very reasonable price.... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  22. Lisqr, i wish a had your creativity..... it is a gift that you can make such creations... i also like the idea... it is so different.... !! Superb! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  23. I would go with Alasdair, Jasper and rriggs ( ) if i were you Paul. But i think you should first just wander around on the Eurobrick Town-MOC-topics and see how other people construct buildings.. It would be boring to read how people re-invent the wheel each time... so.. first have a look around on this site. If there are any remaining questions, please ask them.. !! Well, that's about my opinion... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  24. Here in the Netherlands prices from the 10194 EN go up steady... now reaching 150 euro's... I bought my EN sets for 79 euro's so prices almost doubled... I'm considering to buy a few extra Maersk trains.. but on the other hand... i'm a builder, not a collecter... I shouldn't earn money with buying and selling Lego-sets, i already earn money on a daily basis with my job... so... no, i'm not buying extra 10219 Maersk sets.. keep them for the people who haven't one yet... ! Greetz, LegoSjaak
