  1. This is a very creative way to mix several Lego-themes....Together with a nice and detailed build, it makes this MOC lovely!!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  2. I'm not sure wheter i will buy it or not.....i'm also not very fond of the cars.... And the engine is also not 100% for me. To be honest, it seems me to be difficult for TLG to sell a train which is more beautifull than the Maersk...and we should not compare the 3677 set with the Maersktrain. And though i know i should not do it... i do compare and then the 3677 isn't thát nice... but maybe, when the price is not that high..i will buy it.. At www.brickshop.nl (Holland) it seems to be available already (search for 3677)..yesterday there were 5 of them in stock..now 4 left... is this right..do they haveit already...they were also the first with a Maersk-train...so it wouldn't surprise me...anyone explain??? Greetz, LegoSjaak Haha....that made me laugh...!!!
  3. Though i just started with Lego again in august 2009, i have a decent number of trains: 7897 ICE train (1x) 7898 Cargotrain (1x) 7938 Passengertrain(2x) + 4 extra passengercars 7939 Cargotrain (1x) + 1 extra Yellow Engine (dummy)+ 2 extra octancars + 5 extra red containercars 7939 MOC Red Engine 10194 Emerald Night + 1 extra passengercar 10219 Maersktrain (2x) 8404 Tram All trains are powered and have rechargeable batteries except for the Emerald Night and the Tram(8404) (..and the second yellow 7939 engine). So a total of 8 powered trains. The 7938 and 7939 also have PF-lights.... Now i need to adjust my layout a little bit because of the length of the Maersktrains and cars... The track-corners sometimes come too close to buildings or other objects like trees and lamp-posts..... Today i start preparing the available space for constructing the airport....i will create it like as if the airport is under construction, with cranes and other diggingmaterial around the airstrip! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  4. Sérgio, that is really a nice train!! I see a lot of trainmocs, and sometimes the designs look a lot like mocs i've seen before, but this one looks rather new! This is moc i would like to have running around on my layout!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  5. I´ve done the same, but then with the 7938 set. But the PF/stuff from the 7939 has the same contents as the 7938, so it will work for you. I made 2 extra pssengercars of my third 7938 set....also just bought it for the PF/stuf to build it into my Maersk train! Succes ! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  6. That is a nice start! Just keep building and adding!! (Leuk begin, en weer een nederlander die de Lego gevonden heeft... (kijk voor mijn stad op Flickr.com en zoek op LegoSjaak) Groeten, LegoSjaak
  7. Thanx, compliments like yours make me even more enthusiastic!! This summer i will try to create more space so i can expand my city with the airport.....There will be no space for a harbour though... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  8. Yes, it is a focal point..the whole city is built under a sloped roof, which is only about 1.50 meters high...so there is not much room to take pictures from above... That is why it looks extremely busy. But.. due to limited space, it is busy anyway !!! Greetz, LegoSjaak

    Groeten, LegoSjaak

  11. I think you'd better be buying a 7996 set... i bought it new, but second hand they are also available... Crossover video Crossover Greetz, LegoSjaak
  12. Yeah, it is a small disaster when something breaks down, but the past half year, it only happened two times...so it isn't that bad.... I started almost two years ago with collecting Lego....and most of my sets are fairly new..i think most sets are from 2009 and newer. But, due to limited room-space, i must thinks twice before i buy another new set..... The airport needs a lot of space, but i simply cannot throw away all that household stuff which is already there for 5 years....because then i will have a problem with my girlfriend..... I can create some space, and maybe i will this summer..... On the other hand... newer sets from 2011 like the space-theme and the harbour are, 'luckily' not really my taste.....so i won't buy any of those sets...but if there is another train or some other nice vehicles...well..then i just have to buy them....;) Till now, the city is still not tóó busy in my opinion.... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  13. I bought all Townhouses about a year ago..they are all second hand, and only one box was still sealed... The last half year, i haven't seen one new, but also none for second hand... !! The other desings are also okay, but not as nice as the Townhouse itself...but that is just a matter of taste. Maybe TLG comes up with a modular house....no shop, hotel or firestation, but just a simple house.....sometimes the strength is just to keep it simple... Point is also that the 4954 Townhouse (i got 4 of them) fits on a 16 x 32 plate....and in this way i can place them directly to a road plate. Due to limited space, a created a 16 x 32 wide 'street' along the roadplates instead of a 32 x 32 plate... that saved space! Holland is a small country, and we have to be creative with space, so that was why i put them this way... Buildings like police-station, firestations and the garage are quite difficult to place in a City...with the none rectangular shapes of the baseplates...... You have to fill a lot of gaps with small 8x16 baseplates..... But, im very satisfied the way the City is now..... Now i need to work on the airport... at the moment planes and heli's are packed together.....need again a lot of space for that... ough...!!!
  14. Indeed, sort of control... I think i could better make a rope to the roof, so i can add or repair my city hanging above it...!!! Thanks mrBlue.... you will enjoy your lego-train-day as well!!? The creator sets are one of my most beauftifully designed sets...and i wanted to make a sort of street, and here in holland there are a lot of streets which have the same houses...so that was my idea.... And, moccing is not my strongest point.. sometimes i'm adding something, or slight modifications...but overall i keep the sets original.... Greetz !!
  15. Hi Leg Godt Gud, About your questions, the track goes around the city, so there is 3.5 meters of straight track at the far end... I nailed the track to the floor there, so it wouldn't move... but yesterday the curve got loose in the left far corner (behind the police station) and one of the yellow cargo-engines derailed and i had to get it.. When i have to do that, i just make a little space for a hand and 2 spaces for a knee....when i reach out, i can just touch the corner..... But, it is not very practical..!! one time a got stuck and the large plane dropped on the city...it was a big mess..... The room im my house is limited...and my girlfriend only wants me to use the room under the roof! Trains can go around, but not all at once... Only the tram and the Emerald Night are not motorized, but the rest is rolling from time to time... Next video is with running Maersktrains!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  16. Hi Eurobrickers, maybe you have seen my City already once before on Flickr. This video is a video of 17 may including 2 Maersktrains.. Next time i will try to show moving trains...but then i need someone to control the 7 motorized trains and few static trains or trams!! Enjoy the flight over one of Hollands largest and busiest LegoCities: LegoSjaaks City !!!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  17. KielDaMan, thank you! Indeed i'm having difficulties with deeplinking..i tried it but did not get it right.... I wil try another time and maybe open a new topic to try it again..!! Thanks for showing at least one picture!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  18. Teazza, i hope the white loads are no Fukushima-reactors... Greetz, LegoSjaak
  19. Thanx for your compliments... indeed... on a lot of pictures it looks like the city is overcrowded.... Because of the fact that the pictures can only be taken from one side of the city, and hardly from above, it looks extremely busy.. The city is placed underneath a sloped roof, so the heigth of this room is hardly 1.50 meters... That is why i cannot take a picture of the whole city from above.. because there definitely is a smooth roadplan... But main point is that i just makes fun to build a town like this, and it wakens up the collecter inside me..... Greetz !!
  20. Here are some pictures of my city...since yesterday including 2 Maersk engines..... I just want to show you......but comments are welcome ofcourse!! Greetz, LegoSjaak
  21. Chris, i really like the roofs of your carriages.... it looks more authentic and makes the carriages look older!!
  22. Thanx ZueriHB, this inspires me to redesign this part and see to get the lights working.....!!
  23. I also posted this question already, but haven't found an answer yet. I think that you can only add PF lights when you install them just in front of the drivers-cabin. You could maybe change the red brick with the holes and put other bricks in there and then re-design the headlights a bit...i think i will try this..maybe it is even possible to put one of the two PF-light in the front, and the other one in the back... Anyone tried this already?? Greetz, LegoSjaak
  24. I would definitely buy 7633 for only Eur 35,- that is extremely cheap !! Greetz, LegoSjaak
