  1. Some news for you folks: I've just gone through my sealed box of S4 figures, and here's how each of the figures were distributed. I don't know if it's the same order for all boxes, but this confirms (for the time being, anyway) that there are only two Mad Scientists per box over here.
  2. On the way back from Cheshunt now, which was a nightmare to get to. I can confirm they have S4 figures there, and there's quite a few left. I was fortunate to get a sealed box and a partial open box. My only advice for anyone making the pilgrimage is to go in a car or take a cab from a rail station, as the buses are crap (on a Sunday).
  3. I'm going to be up there tomorrow to get a box. If you see a guy getting wrestled to the ground by more security guards than you've ever seen in a store, with orange packets strewn across the ground, that's probably me.
  4. Darn, I'm on the other side of London.
  5. As an independent voter, my three points go to: 3) cimddwc 13) SuperBagel 40) Todd_Holaday but well done to all the participants, as usual!
  6. I hope it's along the lines of Paradisa and not Belville.
  7. Rocketeer Gender: Male (could be female) Hair: would be wearing a grey helmet of some kind, with visor. Head: smug daredevil look Top: grey protective jacket Bottom: grey trousers with footwear and pocket prints Accessories: a redesigned rocket pack, á la classic Space.
  8. So I've picked the package up from the sorting office: it arrived in a large padded envelope, but both boxes have creases - one more than the other. They are more or less intact though. Apart from the passenger door being stiff (it uses the newer step hinges), it's a fun little model.
  9. Would have gotten mine today, but I was out and missed the postman. Apparently they've arrived in a large brown "packet" - most likely an envelope. I'm also concerned about the box damage, because I want to keep one of the sets MISB.
  10. I had heard that the introduction of flesh tones (for licensed themes) was due to Harry Potter. It could be either - although HP predates the Basketball theme, it previously had yellow figures.
  11. For anyone else: I've updated the LXF file with the correct parts. Round of applause for me.
  12. Well that was really surprising... the Scientist being the least common figure! My initial prediction was the Viking or the Hazmat guy. On the other hand, the Artists being four to a box is excellent news. Now that I've seen close-up pictures of all the figures, they all look very attractive. I have to agree that this is the best series so far, and I might even get multiples of both skaters because they look great. Maybe, just maybe, I might be swayed on the werewolves. The suspense is very, very uncomfortable.
  13. Mine is on the way, according to the confirmation email that's just landed. And I agree wholeheartedly about the boxes! Even though I have enough fin and wing pieces in my collection, it's something else to buy the set and use fresh pieces. Besides, it's an exclusive set.
  14. You had the parts list all this time?!
  15. Here's my attempt at making the model, just from that picture. LXF file
  16. Awesome work! Glad you made it a blue car as well, it's one of those colours that doesn't get much love these days. I don't think I've ever seen those wheels/rims before, but they add to the design.
  17. Great news! Hopefully it's not just happening in the States, because Westfield could use a greater variety of BAF parts.
  18. Welcome to the show! I'm actually quite excited about this set now, can't wait for them to arrive. I would be tempted to build a landing strip.
  19. Not sure if I'll be able to make this one, due to having to move (to an as yet unknown location). However I'll keep an open mind.
  20. Thanks from me for the heads up, I've just ordered two of them. I wonder if they'll come in a box, or some kind of bag?
  21. I like the S5 one a lot more on first glance.
  22. Small update: I also have a fresh S3 Elf to trade. See above.
  23. Updated 28th March 2012... Still plenty of past figures in my BrickLink store, but I'll get things going with S7. At the moment I have: 2 x S7 Evil Knight and I am after: S6 Alien S6 Sleepyhead S6 Surgeon S7 Computer Programmer S7 Grandma Visitor S7 Swimming Champion S7 Tennis Ace S7 Valkyrie (accessories optional). By the way: those forum sheep who decided to gang up on me need not apply.
  24. Back in the day, when I bought Lego from Toys 'R Us, I remember getting 6318 at least once - it was the fastest way to get trees and flowers and things. Those were the times! It's great seeing all these plant packs together. I would really like to see the blue and yellow flowers make a comeback; red and pink (sometimes white) are the only ones widely available now. We also don't really have a modern equivalent for the trees. (Where are the trees in the newer sets?!) Great review!
