  1. The Umbaran Torso is great. I want some of those. I like the vehicle too. Reminds me slightly of the Mars mission 7649 MT-201 Ultra-Drill Walker set.
  2. is that the A-Team van going over the bridge?
  3. Ewald doesn't sound feminine to me. But no more silly than Worriz or Wakz or Crawley or Crooler.
  4. EWALD the eagle leader. as the TRU Eagles Castle blurb reveals.
  5. Rhino beetle, Hercules beetle, Elephant beetle, Stag beetle - They all have nice fierce looks. Using the claw hands from either the POTC Davey Jones or Atlantis crab guard figs would be nice. The more sharp looking edges the better. claws and horns and mandibles and slime squirting vents. And maybe, do you remember the Garthim creatures from The Dark Crystal film? Those black beetle-like soldiers of the evil Skeksis. They had massive armoured bodies over a multitude of quite short scuttling insect legs. I wonder if there's a way to get that sort of look on a maxifig. different proportions and all that but scuttling legs would be a nice departure from the usual maxifig square legs.
  6. I'd vote for a Buggoid queen. Or at least some big bruiser maxifig Buggoids. Mean looking Buggoids with tough carapace and big sharp bitey mandibles.
  7. I just saw the Leatherhead episode via a very naughty means and he is awesome! If Lego don't do a Leatherhead it'll be a crime.
  8. Woop! Just bought another Billy and robot. At this point I'm completely uninterested in the aliens and their vehicles. It's all about 'The Squad'. A while back I bought a load of pieces with the intention of building a zoopy spacecraft. Drew a load of sketches of different types of craftbut couldn't decide which direction to go. Now we know red means go and green means stop I'll be aiming for a craft that goes like Billy-o. I'm an inexperienced builder of spacecraft but I'll have a go over the christmas period. See what I can do.
  9. Cities are always full of odd shaped buildings filling odd shaped lots. I actually like the town house better as an inverse corner than as a square mid row building. I like the alleyway next to it. The only thing I think looks odd is having the fire brigade directly next to the town house. Grand Emporium looks very grand expanded. Only thing i would change is the green canopies. Rather than having two per window I'd fill in between the two end 3x3 curved bricks with these to make longer canopies that are better for shading the whole window. It still works as you have it but I would do them differently.
  10. For some reason I felt compelled to free the Eagle leader from the castle. So I reconstructed the missing part of his/her blue slope and hopefully pulled out a little more definition in the wings. Thought I'd post it for anyone like me who likes to have pics of the figures without background.
  11. I thought so. They were he only ones listed unfortunately but I expect after christmas there'll be a positive herd of Billy Starbeam's up for grabs. I hope so. Ashlee Starstrider and Jack Fireblade are also on my want list. Though I may just go for the mini mech walker polybag to get an orange team together. I love the Bug Obliterator set but it is quite pricey and my budget is meagre.
  12. Just the minifigs Captain Settle, Billy was US $5.99 and the robot was US $8.99. I saw them listed on Bricklink so grabbed them quicksmartpronto.
  13. Divers seems most likely to me. City hasn't had an actual post office but the post office 'theme' has been touched upon. There hasn't been any underwater exploration sets in City though. Boats yes, submersible craft, no. The Town diver series is one of my favourites so I really hope we get an update on that.
  14. I've just bought Billy and his robot from someone and I plan on building him a vehicle more suited to his mad skillz. Still trying to find someone selling the sticker sheet. I'll want a few for what I have in mind..
  15. My random noticings: In the croc boat set one of the upper teeth has been knocked inwards and one of the lime cheese slopes isn't pressed down for optimum clutch. Also Craggers cloak is being worn off the shoulder for the photoshoot. Rizzo the raven has no talons on his good foot or indeed any leg printing on that leg. The random thing in the jungle gates set image looks like a malformed minifig torso. Possibly an artifact of a rushed rendering process. In the lion archway Cragger vs Laval set there's a whacking great fingerprint visible on the right side of the arch on the brown arch brick. Tsk!
  16. Well, apart from Billy's lacklustre scooter which can't have enough power to do more than putter around. *grumble grumble mutter*
  17. Billy is the fastest at retreating.
  18. Minifigs are getting very 'street' what with rappers in the CMF theme and shaved lines in eyebrows in the City police subtheme and now this piercing. The new parts thread revealed a minifig torso with arm tattoo too. Lego is hip to the hop.
  19. I thought it had been established that the rear part with the tail and propellers detaches to form a flying craft? There was a very small pic posted a while back that showed it detached from the boat. Also thank you GRogall.
  20. Paintball is simulated war. Hits from the paint pellets can leave serious bruising or worse which is why so much protective gear is needed. Usually it's played on abandoned urban locations or more commonly in woodland. Players can be very aggressively competitive.
  21. I have to say, the bleachers in the background with the dirt bike set would make a nice set. Obviously not with all those minifigs but the general shape of that scene, with a ramp and some rusty cars. Maybe a yellow or white trial bike....
  22. You're dead right. they're not pilots. I was thinking several things at once and completely mixed up what I wanted to say. oops. I still think the hockey helmet would look nicer on them though.
  23. Perhaps. I just checked and the actual bush is indeed minifig height. Just seems odd to resize an existing element for an image. Normally Lego keep everything to scale.
  24. Now we're talking. Hopefully there'll be a building for each clan to hang out in.
  25. Is it just me or does that dark tan bush look smaller than the normal ones? I thought the existing bush element was about minifig height. Whatever, the new hat, gun and cattle skull are very nice. Don't like the look of Tonto but everything looks grand.
