It has a late 1970's feel to it. Love the ground clearance and the blue isn't too bad. The only thing that I would change is putting a slope of some kind on those studs behind the canopy. One of these maybe.

I have built Billy a ship. It's fast and manoeuvrable and swooshy. It doesn't transform or split apart because I haven't built anything in the longest time and my skillz aint mad. However, it does have a lovely shape and it's all SNOT built and the cockpit is capable of holding Billy and Bugs Burn-e at a pinch. Plus it has landing gear. Photos and proper description will be posted sometime tomorrow. I'm off to bed now to dream of flying this thing myself.

I don't have any children, all the Lego is MINE!!!!!!! Actually over the years I've had young cousins and nephews and so on come over and want to play but they've always preferred my action figure collection. I have plenty of spares I let them destroy with aggressive play. It's only recently since my younger brother got a new lady friend with Children that I've considered opening my vault to Lego to one. Izzy is an eleven year old girl with a very creative streak who is mature beyond her years. I'd let her have free reign over my bricks. She's quite a tomboy and prefers action themes and space to any girly nonsense. I'd like to encourage her creativity and hope her interest in Lego lead her to pursue a career in the arts or something practical like civil engineering.

Maid Marion from Robin hood or Merida from Pixar's Brave would be a good place to look for inspiration regarding heroines. Strong female characters without being sacharine and girly like all that pink and fluffy fairytale nonsense Disney churns out.

Meh, needs more Chima.

It all looks very Wild West except the door. I almost expect a second shot of a whole Western town with futuristic bits and bobs meshed in here and there.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I just had to look up what G.I is an acronym of. I used to collect G.I. JOE figures too. And I've watched a bajillion films/documentaries on WWII as well Anyhoo, great builds. Recognisable instantly.

Hmph. Still waiting for three of my Billies to arrive. Stoopid postal service. I'm getting nearer to finalising a ship for Billy though. Been doodling away like crazy and rooting out all my suitable spaceship-y parts. Got an order of a few bits coming in including a trans clear cockpit canopy which I'm very surprised to find I didn't own any of. besides the honking great eliptical dome from the Agents bad guy mech. I like it but it isn't sleek enough. Billy's ship should fly like a dart. Make Solomon Blaze look like a Sunday driver in his old banger. Once I've got something to show that's worth showing I'll start a thread so you can heap praise on me Until then I'll say no more about this. Normal thread activity resumes......... now.

The mine bears closer resemblance to the old 6761 Bandit's secret hideout mine.

Id like to see a Giraffe tribe. Or Armadillo. And Magpies as minions of the Raven tribe. And Badgers. Mean and hard as nails Badgers are.

I like the part with the cinema.... Sets like this are too pricey for me but I appreciate all the parts that will end up on Bricklink.

In your group shot Kliq, Billy Starbeam looks like he's riding a space version of a Rascal mobility scooter into battle. Poor Billy. Those Insectoid vehicles look a lot better grouped together. They make sense and don't look so odd.

Gosh how cynical. It must be torture even looking at Lego sets knowing how evil the company is.

If you want to make money, invest in precious stones or metals not plastic toys. Using children's toys to profiteer is kind of tragic.

Going off topic for just one moment. I've never heard the LU soundtrack before. loving Pirate cove and Tortoise terrace. Mountain tops is quite cool too. The race backing tracks are not my sort of thing. I find them headache inducing. Shows I'm old and past it eh?

The Croc queen is called Crunket. Interesting biographies on the minisite. As for the number of tribes, Eight is plenty. Assuming we'll get minifigs of the Rhinos and Bears and if there's 4-6 minifigures in each tribe we get that's a very substantial number of unique minifigures for a theme. Even a flagship one.

There are 800 new parts this year. According to a Brickset report. That's including new colours of existing parts but even so Lego are really pushing the boat out when it comes to new stuff. Which is impressive. It's all about cost. If we want prices of sets to remain reasonable then there's only so much new stuff that can be included. It's unlikely this theme will be ongoing so there must be a limit.

The song is awful and the singers mouth is unnaturally large but the clips were cool. The teddy bears are cute. Rhinos will be cooler. Gotta love a Rhino. I reckon the Bears are good and the Rhinos are bad.

I did a earch at UK Lego.com yesterday and got results for three GS sets. It let me see the Star slicer but when I hit the back button the search results vanished. I then researched and got no results. spooky... Also the first of my Billy Starbeams and robots arrived today. WOOP! Awesomesauce. Time to get cracking on his custom ride. If my dog will leave me alone long enough.He's going through a clingy phase. Can't get anything done for him jumping all over me and wanting to sleep on my belly. Hopefully the other three Billies will arrive this coming week. Then we'll show that smug SOB Soloman Blaze. HA!

I'm liking the crates in medium dark flesh / dark orange or whatever that colour is. Dark tan coach wheels look good. The Comanche headdress with horns is über cool. Boulder in tan. Reddish brown kayak/canoe. Nice stuff. I count 17 unique minifigs.

Ok, provided the postman brings me the Billies I ordered in plenty of time I will.
