  6. i had thought that a single topic for all my train mocs would be better, but thanks for editing it into a more suitable form for this forum section.
  7. Hi guys, iam new at the lego train theme and my first try is a US locomotive based on the Santa Fe Super Chief. I will change the grey parts to black, so i call the train Night Chief. I have chosen a seven studs wide body, to get the look what i want. because iam waiting for parts, there are some big holes in the body. i hope you like what you see
  8. i like it very much, well done and good luck
  9. sorry, but google+ says you have no pictures. maybe you should try a picture hoster like flickr, imageshack or brickshelf. using attachments is not a good idea for posting pictures
  10. thank you for this loud spoken information, but where is the link to your google+

  12. nice to see an other floating contestant. good luck
  13. first i must reanimate this moc, but rock crawlers are actually too boring for me.
  14. yes but there was no one in this millenium
  15. oh, iam thinking about a non floating single hull tugboat or supply ship with my new 6 blade voith schneider propellers, but first i will try it out in a floating vessel
  16. you think it is impossible to built with studless beams a boat hull?
  17. and what a water related technic object in 20xx?
  18. the to sail the technic sea contest shows, that there are many different vehicles possible in the technic line of lego. but in this millenium there was no ship, submarine or any other water related technic model released. as far as i know was the 8839 supply ship the last vessel, which was released. . i demand not a really floating vessel, but something like diving robots, a new supply ship or something else would be nice. what do you think is the reason for this abstinence. want the kids today no ships, or did tlg think ships are boring, are the designers not be able to design a boat hull with technic parts?
  19. before someone ask why i dont use this in the contest, i think i need servos to control it. it is a voight schneider propeller which is wörking like the original. 101_9259 von efferman auf Flickr
  20. thanks, with this cold water i dont want make an open water test, too much interferences by the sunlight.
  21. The Harbour Tug My entry of the "to sail the technic sea" contest is a floating vessel in the style of a Harbour tugboat. The feature of my tugboat is a Voith Schneider propulsion system. A classic propulsion system for ships works with a horizontal driveshaft and a propeller. The advantage of the vertical Voith Schneider propeller is, that it could adjust the boost of the propeller in all directions, without using a rudder. The vessel can move sidewards and rotates in every radius which the captain wants. To get a little view on the maneuver abilitiys i made a short Video of my harbour tug Technical Datas Two propellers in Voith Schneider style powered by twoPF-M motors with a gear ratio of 1:1.4 Two Pf-M to adjust the pitch of the propellers. The pitch controls the direction of boost. Two receivers and transmitters One 8878 LiPo accu Dimensions width: 280mm length: 600mm height: 360mm weight: 2790grams The Deckhouse and the Bridge is built modular to get a easy access to the electric parts the two dishes are used to show the driver in which position the pitch of the propellers is. on the afterdeck i have added a nonworking winch for the tow line The stabilizer sword and two of the airtanks which are adjusting the waterline of the vessel. more pictures on flickr and Brickshelf If you want to take a look on the building process, please click here Thanks for reading
