  1. yes this is for the logging truck. red is the chassis, yellow is part of the crane system, and black is the bodywork
  2. one lever is for one function and both directions of this function. i dont need a electrical switch to change the directions.
  3. only four functions, because i only want control the crane and the outriggers. I think with the next two pictures you will see it more clear. it is not complete, the levers will be centered by rubberbands, to let the functions stop, when it is no finger on the lever.
  4. i have found a solution 101_9195 von efferman auf Flickr next step is the controlpanel itself
  5. sorry, but there is currently no relevant progress which can be photographed. currently iam searching for a way to squeeze the gearbox in the truck.
  6. my U400 has no gearbox for the mechanical and pneumatical PTOs, so it is not possible to copy the gearbox
  7. ...pff-pff-pff-pff-pff-pff-pff-pff... i think you are right
  8. i think i will use a single piston compressor for the claw and two combined PF-M for powering the compressor and functions. A XL would probably kill the clutch gears.
  9. RC is skipped. I try a controlpanel on the backside of the cab
  10. all four functions at the same time and with change of direction = same playability like RC, with less costs. only one motor needed
  11. i dont think that it would be smaller, maybe below the turntable, but above the turntable it will be much bigger. And there is no space. if i want more than two remote functions above the turntables, then i will use pneumatics. i think i will try something different. i hope it works edt: something completely different 101_9192 von efferman auf Flickr
  12. ok, i know that iam hairsplitting, but where is the border of the rules? is every thing allowed what is using a watercooled engine in original? if yes, we could build everything, except things with a aircooled engine. but i think the sense behind the rules say no so i think it should be only allowed what could swim. amphibious or not.
  13. and where is the usefull difference to 3 single driveshafts for rotate/first boom/second boom and the motors in the chassis?
  14. i think a pnematic suspension would be to much for this type of truck in this size. @alasdair the motors in the chassis and only the driveshaft in the tower?
  15. i have no scruples to skip the crane.
  16. the truck will stay, the crane will change its place with a new one.
  17. Thanks for your opinion and iam happy if someone says what he think the crane is not my best and i have no scruple to build a new one which fits to the truck. there is only the question how it will be powered. RC, gearbox or Pneumatic
  18. before i think about my entry i will see something clear: the original from the model must could swim. it is not enough that the mod is using a medium (snow/Ice/steam) of water. is this correct?
  19. thank you. what dou you think about a Gearbox which allows it to move more than one function and in different directions, without using a electrical powerswitch?
  20. could you please describe your idea in detail?
  21. hm, anything looks wrong, but what? 101_9191 von efferman auf Flickr tower to fat, rear part too short?
  22. @ Starbager1 The "net" ? btw what do you think which type of driveaxle i should use? US Style or my old tandem axle?
  23. yes ,there are three Pf-M in the tower. one for the mainboom, one for the second boom and one for rotating the crane. The horizontal one is indeed for the outriggers. The drivemotor (XL), and the steering (M) of the Truck will hopefully fit in the fueltanks. the battery box and the threee receivers will find their place in the stepboards/batteryboxes under the cab.
